Beautiful Property
This was one of the best house and property we’ve ever booked. The house is unique with fantastic views of the lake. The property is spacious with a great private fireplace near the lake. The kitchen is well stocked making it easy to cook at the house. All instructions for the house are clear and easy to access. The hosts could not have been more accommodating. We will definitely book this house again!

As beautiful as the pictures where on the site it was even more breathtaking in real life! 8 adults stayed in this property comfortably. Everything was immaculate! We are cooks and there was everything we needed in the kitchen. We will definitely be back!

45 Years of Friendship
To celebrate our friendship since attending the University of NH we gathered with our respective spouses at this exceptional property with breathtaking views of Lake Champlain. We cooked together, share several fun moments by the fire pit on the point, played yard games and so much more. The owners were very responsive and had a nice service person stop by to fix a shower valve that was not functioning properly. We highly recommend this property!!!

South Hero Stay
The house was great - amazing views, fantastic amenities (kayaks, paddle boards, and fire pit to name a few), clean, and well appointed on the interior to fit all the needs of our family during our stay. When something (very minor) came up mid-week, the owners were extremely quick to respond and resolve the matter. Highly recommended, and would rent again without a second thought if staying in the area in the future.

Best Summer On The Lake

The property was fantastic and the owners were responsive when a problem popped up for the garage door. Sometimes things happen and it’s important that when they happen that property owners try to get things taken care of. That was the case here. The property is top shelf!

The Week in Vermont
Walking away from this home was difficult. The view of Lake Champlain from the house and the yard was absolutely jaw dropping. The accommodations in the house fit our family of 6 very nicely. Kitchen, dinning room, living areas and deck were just right for us. We'd rent for a month if we could. Thanks you!

Columbus weekend
We had a grand time. Other than not being able to get the door open The owner called us and finally got us inside. There were four of us staying there over the weekend as we had a wedding celebration to attend. Prior to that my four other siblings , all in town for the wedding, got together for a dinner with spouses on Friday night. Nice sit down meal that everyone brought something to share then we had a fire in the fire pit. Other friends stopped by on Sunday for the same type thing. The weather was great. Need to return in the summer when the water is warm enough to paddle board and kayak. All in all the place is awesome for views, beach fun and easy accessibility. Wonderful to wake in the morning to the sound of the surf coming through the open sliders.

Everything was as listed. We picked out with amazing sunsets. We would definitely stay again. The screen doorsdont seem to close 100% so some tiny little sand fly looking things kept sneaking in. But small thing to deal with for an amazing place.

The view of the lake and mountains from almost every room was outstanding. Loved the fire pit, used it several times. Kitchen was a bit small but we were able to get several cooks working together in it. Well equipped. Great TV room downstairs with lots of seating. The house was perfect for our three adult couples.

Incredible View, Beautiful Property
6 retired friends (3 couples) took a roadtrip through Vermont and New York. By far this was our best accomodation, and the others were very nice. Communication with owner was very easy, all information we needed was given. This home sits directly lakefront and has a large, beautifully landscaped lot with 2 dock areas, a large firepit conversation area and plenty of seating areas throughout. Nice grill and views from all back of home windows. Interior very comfortable, tastefully furnished, very clean and well stocked. Each couple had their own bedroom and full bath. Amenities include outdoor kayaks, fishing rods, life jackets. Plenty of games and movies, books, etc. This home has it all. A very enjoyable experience.

Fantastic property
We just got back from a week at this amazing house and it was truly a fantastic vacation. We had two couples and four kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need. The kids loved the paddle boards, kayaks, and cornhole boards during the day and then they enjoyed playing the board games as well as the Xbox in the evening. We rented a boat for the week and it was super convenient to use the mooring and have the boat right outside the house. The fire pit was a perfect way to end the night. Waking up to the gorgeous views of the lake from every room was the best way to start the day, and relaxing in the hammock while listening to the waves on the shore below was such a great way to unwind. I really can’t say enough good things about our stay here. I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for an amazing trip to Lake Champlain.

Tranquil and fully accommodating home
This Lake house did not disappoint us and stayed completely true to the listed description. The whole family agreed it was the most relaxing and chill vacation we have probably ever had. Mitch and Kristina thought of absolutely everything to make our stay comfortable, stressless, fun and RELAXING!! This lake house has everything you could possibly need and more! Plenty of bathrooms and showers, free standing tub, super comfortable beds and pillows. The downstairs living room is absolutely amazing!! Tons of DVDs and board games, even Xbox! Although we were spending so much family time together that nobody played video games all week! But we had a corn hole tournament and a marathon game of Monopoly. Kristina and Mitch really put a lot of thought into this house. We completely felt at home without the stress!! The views are breathtaking! Falling to sleep and waking up to the sound of the rippling lake was out of this world!! The huge fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards, and endless yard games! We took advantage of all of the activities offered! Oh and the hammock, just dreamy. Such a private location. We felt like we were on our own island. Kitchen totally accommodating to make big family dinners every night! We have rented many houses throughout the years and this is by far one of the top rated one.! We actually can’t stop talking about it and are already going to book for next year.! Love this lake house I don’t think you could find a better one in the area!

Summer vacation
Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. Everyone in our family enjoyed their stay. The house was clean and comfortable and well supplied for my family of seven. The views of the lake are just incredible!!! The water is so clean and just amazing for swimming, kayaking and the paddle board! The house is also conveniently located to explore the other islands and for our trip to Ausable Chasm! I can’t forget to mention the fire pit which was such a good size with so much room for everyone to sit around comfortably. You two definitely deserve the five stars. Your home really will be memorable for us!

Beautiful home with a view that never gets old.
Owners were so kind and responsive and the home is truly special. The back of the home is pure glass and deck which is exactly what it should be with such a beautiful view. The lower level is perfect for the kids with two small beds and also a murphy bed and full bath. They felt like they had their own apartment with videogames and everything; and they too could walk out from that level to the water. I couldn't recommend the home, and the owners, more highly. The ferry from Plattsburgh made access to the home super easy as well.

Majestic View & Comfortable Space
If you want a place to rent that comfortably accommodates 3 adult couples, is right on the lake with a great mountain view across the lake and beautiful sunsets, this is the place for you! What an amazing view and comfortable space. For our family (husband, wife, daughter & son (kids are in their mid-20's) and their boyfriend/girlfriend - we enjoyed time together, having fun in the house playing board games, cards, cooking together and enjoying each other's company. Mitch was very helpful with any questions we had and everything was in order so no issues with our stay. Thank you so much Mitch & Kristina for your marvelous home that made our Thanksgiving away from home, a memorable one!

Well appointed home
Jewel of the Isle is a beautiful home that provides you with everything you would want to do on your lake vacation. We utilized all the fun extras the home provides. We paddle boarded, kayaked, floated on tubes, played corn hole as well as played games and watched dvds. The location of the Jewel of the Isle is ideal, 1 minute from the ferry. I would most surely recommend this spot for your vacation.

Beautiful Lake Getaway
I've never had a more relaxing vacation. The house was perfect with plenty of room and amazing views. We loved being so close to the lake. We took the paddle boards, kayaks, and tubes out every day on the lake. The sunsets were gorgeous and we loved the fire pit and hammock! The hosts made everything so easy and were very responsive. Would absolutely recommend for anyone looking to get away and relax on the water.

Gorgeous Lake Front House with Lots of Amenities
We stayed at this property for two weeks and never tired of it. The house has beautiful sunset views of Lake Champlain, direct private access to the lake, and all the water toys you could need: tubes, kayaks, paddle boards, life vests, and fishing poles. We enjoyed the lake daily and then watched the sunsets at night sitting around the lakefront fire pit. The house is also on the Champlain Bike Pathway so you have easy access to biking (bring your own bikes). The owners were wonderful to deal with and the check-in/out a breeze. I highly recommend this property.

Family vacation and wedding on the lake
The Jewel of the Isle is one of the most beautiful homes on the shore of Lake Champlain. It provided an oasis of pleasure and privacy for our family of 6. Water activities, lawn games and nightly fires created lasting memories. In addition, the scenic waterfront was a fantastic background for our daughters intimate wedding. We all feel a return trip to the Jewel of the Isle is in our future. The house is immaculate and the grounds are beautiful. It made our vacation perfect in every way. A very special place!
Our family was truly delighted with this home. And I sincerely mean "home"...well-appointed, clean, comfortable, and simply breathtaking views! The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances, gadgets, seasonings/condiments, etc; the bathrooms were sparkling, and all of the furniture was exceptionally comfortable. My favorite spot was the circle of Adirondack chairs. We cannot wait to go back!!

It was an absolute delight to stay in this house! The design of the house is wonderful - you can enjoy the amazing views wherever you are, inside and out. The house is elegant and comfortable and perfectly located to be able to explore the islands. I would definitely come back.

It’s a wonderful property in a wonderful area. I would highly recommend it
There is a lot to like about the home and the yard. It looks brand new inside. The dock is right there and the garage is full of games and water sports equipment. The two bedroom upstairs are gorgeous. The third bedroom in the basement with the four beds is good for the kids. It’s not air conditioned but being in the basement it wasn't too bad in there. The basement TV area is very nice. A large screen HD set with comfy couches. The Murphy bed is also in this area. It’s not the best sleeping area for guests 9 and 10 as it’s also the tv room and bright as the sun comes up. But it’s fine and served it’s purpose. The first floor is also wonderful with a huge dining area and table. The living is nice to sit in and relax. The kitchen is a little small but it comes well stocked with the spices and condements and kitchen wares to make dinners for the fam. The fire pit is perfect and the geese and ducks make a nightly arrival as the sun sets. It’s pretty cool. Overall it’s a very nice property and we would stay there again.

Perfect lake vacation!
We stayed here for a week in summer 2018 and thoroughly enjoyed this beautiful home on Grande Isle. It's true that Mitch and Kristina did think of EVERY single thing that our family would need in a vacation rental, from beach towels to coffee filters and spices to great stand-up paddleboards, kayaks, life vests, to great advice on local shopping, activities, restaurants, bike trails, etc., to Lake Champlain chocolates to greet us on arrival. Unlike other places we've stayed, this home, with plenty of space to spread out and beautiful lake and sunset views was more like a luxury hotel. Our family of 4 was very comfortable sharing the home with our friends (another family of 4) and made some great memories!

Property was every bit as beautiful as described.
We rented this property for a family reunion and it turned out to be a destination in Vermont. The property is beautiful and the house is wonderful. It is located at a location that takes in all of the beauty of the lake. The property was immaculate and well maintained. The owners, Mitch and Kristina, were extremely helpful and have thought of everything to make this a vacation extreme. We loved this property and highly recommend it.

This home has everything! Plenty of room, plenty to do and incredible sunsets!!
A great place to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from St. Michael’s College! We had extended family, two grandmas and a couple cousins and there was plenty of room for all of us - sleeps ten very comfortably! The drive in and out of Burlington was easy and we made the trip a few times during our stay. But the house itself was so perfect we rarely wanted to leave it! The teens loved playing cornhole and badminton and going kayaking and fishing. The adults appreciated the well stocked kitchen and relaxing at the fire pit at sunset. We were all wishing we didn’t have to leave. Great communication with the hosts who accommodated all of our needs and responded quickly to our questions. You can’t go wrong staying here!!
