'Service was very good'

'Staff was very friendly, super quiet hotel with air conditioning. Very clean.'

'Clean and comfortable with very good food and a warm welcome from the owner. Plenty of on site parking.'

'The bathroom was in a poor start of repair. The side bath panel was water damaged and obviously been treated and then left Showing further damage and falling apart. The bathroom mirror required changing with various black marks across it. The thermostatic controls were really stiff and couldn’t be fully used for both hot and cold. The markings for hot and cold faded and difficult to establish which way to turn. The bath had various stains around the plug hole and bath and certainly...

'Prima hotel. Geen lawaai prima ontbijt.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.'

'Goeie bedden en heel lekker ontbijt.'

'Had a mews room on ground floor. Lovely to just step outside for coffee'

'Ferry good'

'The diner was very good but the bed was not comfortable. '

'The perfect place to stay. Easy walking distance into town. Adjacent to the cathedral. Staff were great. The room was very clean and bed amazingly comfortable. Would recommend and will be staying here again.'

'Spacious hotel with a big tranquil garden, but my room was rather small and old. I had to improvise a little.'

'This is a fantastic hotel that I would recommend to all.'

'Room was clean with a modern bathroom and comfortable. We didn't spend time in the hotel bar or restaurant but did have a drink outside where there were some tables for diners. Service was fine, but when we got up to leave the next morning the reception and bar area were all locked up (8:30am). In the end I had to call the hotel to find out how to check out and was told to just leave the key in the room and go. This wasn't really an issue for us, but it would have been better to be told of...

'Lovely room, great breakfast and friendly, helpful owners.'

'Due to a VRBO double booking, this was a last-minute booking @ around 6:30pm. They welcomed us in with open arms and made the stay most enjoyable. Glad we got double-booked!'

'Cory, the manager of The Fox, is a lovely host. Super hard working, he is around to serve breakfast and still managing the bar late at night. Nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are spacious and warm. Parking is immediately outside the rooms and easily accessed. Bury St Edmund’s is a lovely town with excellent shopping and coffee shops. Strongly recommend staying at The Fox for visiting Bury St Edmunds.'

'It is a nice hotel but, beware, they - unfortunately - don’t do breakfast.'
