'The area around Box Hill is beautiful. Some nice little nature areas within strolling distance. Good star-gazing. Staff at the pub were great, as were the locals. Excellent local ciders and ales. Food was great too, great ploughman's lunch. Amazing place to watch the sunset and see the lights of Bath in the distance. '

'This is a smaller hotel with a homely, personal feel that felt unique compared to larger, more commercial feeling hotel / spa combos that are becoming so common now. We felt very comfortable playing games and having drinks in the evening, enjoying the unique heated outdoor pool and generally relaxing. Our room was large with a huge, comfy bed with crispy clean linen and a lovely hot bath with bubbles. Our evening meal was exceptionally tasty and well presented - the baked Sole was the best...

'Lovely staff, in reception and in bar and restaurant, garden salad was delicious, food generally was good. Great bar, so many different gins, but enjoyed the wines too. Room was the cheapest and so was small, but was comfortable and was out in the Piggery, a short step from the hotel itself. '

'It’s our second time staying at this property. It’s rather convenient to Bath where our daughter goes to uni. She stayed with us on the sofa bed this time. We were only here for 1 night. It’s great how you can pull the curtain across to give us all privacy. It’s a really cosy place to stay & the kitchen has everything you need. The breakfast choices are great. Parking is easy. Bathroom great. Nice & light place, with plenty of windows you can open. We definitely recommend staying here. '

'We had a lovely stay at Grosvenor Villa. Richard greeted us at the door and gave us a little bit of history on the property. The room was lovely and clean with nice complimentaries stocked. The villa was about a 30 minute was to the centre, but the walk was lovely along the canal. The breakfast had a good amount of options and Richard happily made us toast and porridge if we wanted it. I would 100% recommend.'
