Vakantiehuizen in Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge

'Great property not too far from the beaches! Between the pool, hot tub, mini golf, and theater room, our family had plenty to do at the house when we weren't out exploring Virginia Beach. Owner was quick to respond to any questions or needs as well.'

'Place was clean. No problem finding parking nearby, Easy to get into with door code given. Not a lot of restaurants around, but there was a good pizza restaurant/bar nearby. It's a good place to stay if you want to pay less than the hotels in and around downtown Norfolk. Easy to get to Norfolk by car or ferry.'

'We were unable to stay in this location because of the extremely narrow and steep stairwell that you have to climb up to in order to get to the apartment. This place is not for the elderly. I am only 60 years old and in great health, the stairs were scary for me. The balcony is also very sketchy. The door to the balcony would not lock. Also, the location was a little bit suspicious with the toilet randomly sitting next to the house. Communication with the host was very good however, he also had...

'The pictures on the Vrbo site didn't match what we actually received. The A/C didn't work on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The were no box springs on any of the beds. I felt like our host was giving us the run around. We were here from Jun 26th to July 5th. The last time I heard anything from the host was June 30th. Too much money was paid(2500) for this place to lack basic amenities in this Virginia heat'

'The directions for using the codes for the building entrance and the apartment entrance don't work unless you know what to do before trying them The host did not give me that information. In the office area within the bedromm does not have an elcetrical outlet! There is only 1 air conditioner, in the window of the bedroom. The living room fan that perhaps help circulated the cool air, had a chain under the fan but only 3-4 beads were there so it was impossible for me to treach! The remote had...

'Perfect for what we needed for one day layover before outer Banks'

'Property was very inviting for my stay. Enjoyed the direct access to the beach as well!'

'Over all stay was comfortable... and convenient! Traffic was good into Newport news... Good stay'

'Clean and pet friendly one bedroom apartment with everything we needed for an amazing weekend away. Highly recommend.'
