Dit 18e-eeuwse, omgebouwde stallencomplex biedt karakter en charme in het dorp Winterton-on-Sea in Norfolk, op minder dan 350 meter van een natuurgebied met zandduinen, een zandstrand en de thuisbasis van de Kleine stern en beschermde Natterjack Pad. In de buurt kunnen bezoekers vanaf eind november zeehonden bekijken of de zeehondenkolonie Horsey Beach bezoeken om de zeehondenjongen te zien. Voor traditionele kustattracties ligt Great Yarmouth op 14 km afstand, of bezoek Hemsby, 1 mijl, Norfolk Broads, 6 mijl of Norwich, met zijn kathedraal, kasteel, musea en winkels. Voor kinderen, bezoek Pleasurewood Hills of BeWILDerwood. Horsey Wind Pump (National Trust), wandelen en vogels kijken zijn lokaal beschikbaar. Winkel 100 meter, pub serveert eten 350 meter.

The cottage was great but unfortunately the wood burner was not working however the host made sure the cottage was warm no problems my only comment is that if you have mobility issues the sofa is low. Overall the cottage is superb best hosts I. A long while nothing to much trouble will return soon

NOT SUITABLE FOR 4 ADULTS ! NOT 350 YARDS FROM THE SEA

Booked two months in advance for 4 adults. On arranging Key collection ( day before travelling ) the owner asked if we were aware that access to the second Bedroom was through the first bedroom. We were not - This was not made clear on the listing and the owner was obviously aware of this as why ask the question otherwise ?. This was totally unsuitable for us. The owner would not cancel the holiday. We had a very awkward holiday not helped by the cramped living room which again was not suitable for 4 adults - It was a real squash for 3 adults on the sofa and one chair. Listing claims the property is 350 yard from the sea - It is not. Google maps says 0.4 miles which is 700 yards - this is to the beach - the sea is a further walk ! The DVD player was disassembled and shoved in a cupboard. Hot water is not on demand but serviced from a water tank on a timer - we had a few cold showers !. All in all, we made the best of a bad situation but after waiting through lock-down for a holiday we did not get what we paid for and would not recommend. Owner should offer compensation but doubt they will.

Cosy Cottage, Stunning Wildlife.

We specifically wanted somewhere to stay that was within easy reach of the seal colony, and this cottage was a short walk away, although coastal erosion had taken the nearest beach access away. We were travelling with our puppy and this was a brilliant place to stay, with a safe enclosed garden and an easy walk to the nature reserve of the dunes, with a huge number of birds and the occasional seal pup. The village has everything you need, a local shop, post office, coffee shop, a chippy and a pub, so we did not stray far, only really heading a few miles down the beach to see another seal colony and try out another café and pub ( both excellent!) My husband and I had a wonderful relaxing week, walking for miles and relaxing each evening with a bottle of wine and an open fire. If you want to be close to nature, then this is the perfect place to stay. We are already planning a return.

Ideal cottage for a quiet and cosy time. Very well equipped and superb heating throughout. Whilst the bedroom configuration wouldn’t suit all, it was fine for us (a couple) and the bed was very comfortable. Winterton offers a couple of small shops, a cafe and a very nice pub (although that’s still closed awaiting the lifting of COVID restrictions). The beach is only a few minutes walk and is home to a small seal colony (not all year round). Would definitely recommend. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Little Tern is a hidden gem.

Little Tern is a hidden gem. It's close to the beach and it's very quiet as it is set back from the road. There was a bottle of wine in the fridge and a lovely vase of fresh flowers in the lounge. It was very clean and comfortable. Lots of hand sanitiser available. Amanda popped round one day to make sure we had everything we needed. All in all we had a lovely holiday! Little Tern is a well equipped, clean, warm and comfortable cottage in the centre of the village.

On a cold December afternoon we were greeted with lovely warmth from the heating and a welcome basket of goodies from the owners, the shower in the wet room is great too. We enjoyed our break and would certainly stay again.

Had such a lovely break at Little Tern. The cottage was very clean and cosy. Everything needed for a holiday is provided. The goodies basket was much appreciated too. Loved the walks on Winterton sand dunes, all areas were dog friendly. A trip to Horsey beach to see the seals is a must! Thank you Amanda, see you next year.
