Zeker geen 5 sterren
Het eten was van matige kwaliteit, vooral in het zgn a la carte gedeelte. Het personeel aan de receptie, in de bar en deels in het restaurant was niet vriendelijk en klantgericht, men kwam slecht-gehumeurd en ongemotiveerd over, dit hebben we niet eerder zo meegemaakt. Ondanks de ruime opzet en strakke architectuur ziet het hotel er deels verlopen uit. De kamer was wel netjes maar helaas hadden we een kamer met uitzicht op het terras waar het animatieprogramma (bingo, zanger, etc) plaatsvond.

Booked Sea View but Not All Are Sea View Rooms
Booked months in advance a sea view room however our room was a pool view of chaises and umbrellas and clearly should not be in the category of sea view. We also were half board but found the food to be o.k. We only dined 1 out of 7 nights at the hotel and chose restaurants in Kos. For the positives, our room itself was very nice and we were pleased. The bed was comfortable, pillows very good, shower had lots of hot water and did not vary in temperature. A/C worked very well. Wi Fi needs upgrading though.

L’hôtel est conforme aux photos, ce qui est déjà pas mal ! Manque d’activités pour un hôtel 5 étoiles, si vous souhaitez faire la fête cet hôtel n’est pas fait pour vous ! Wir haben wir 5 Tage Halbpension in diesem Hotel gebucht. Dabei hatten wir die Suite mit dem Jacuzzi, welchen wir nur jedem an Herz legen können! Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Möglichkeit der Buchung von Speisen, Getränken oder auch den Zeitraum des Essen Gehens, fanden wir als Personen der "Generation Z" sehr gut! Für ältere Personen ist das wahrscheinlich nichts. Die Ausstattung des Zimmers ist in Ordnung, allerdings nicht erwähnenswert oder 5-Sterne gerecht. Der Wohnbereich des Zimmers ist gut und halbwegs modern gestaltet, das Badezimmer allerdings schon ziemlich veraltet. Ich viele der Zimmer ohne Jacuzzi sind etwas moderner, das fanden wir schade. Der Höhepunkt des Zimmers war aber nunmal auch der eigene, Privat-Jacuzzi auf der großen Terrasse. Von der Terrasse lässt sich auf das Meer sowie die gesamte Hotelanlage blicken. Am Abreisetag machte der Jacuzzi allerdings etwas Probleme (nicht mehr geheizt, kein Wasser mehr zugeführt). Wären wir länger geblieben hätte das auf jeden Fall gestört. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Da können wir zwar nur vom Frühstück und Abendessen sprechen, allerdings wird es Mittags ähnlich sein. Auch die Preise für die Getränke bei Halbpension sind sehr human (Flasche Wasser 1.0L 2,80€). Das Buffet war jetzt zu Corona Zeiten geöffnet. Allerdings mussten alle Gäste beim gang zum Buffet ein Paar Einweghandschuhe entgegennehmen. Gerade an etwas windigeren Tagen flogen diese dann natürlich überall durch die Gegend.

Post Covid review
Everything is kept very clean and all the Covid rules are being applied (felt very safe in this hotel). Buffett is currently served by the very helpful staff who are all wearing masks, it takes a little longer than it would usually but it’s fine everyone understands. I’d say the mix of people at the hotel is 80/20 Germans to Brits. Plenty of sunbeds to go round ( we didn’t get round to the pool til 10am and there was always space). Only downside is the hotel isn’t walkable to local restaurants, need a 12 euro taxi to kos town or Tigaki but seeing as most go all inclusive it’s not a big issue. Overall a lovely stay.

Good hotel, bad food!
Astir Odysseus My family and I spent one night at the Astir Odysseus. There were some positives about the hotel - the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the pools were nice and clean. It has a nice atmosphere for a family vacation. Unfortunately we were unable to use the beach as it was closed due to high winds. Our main disappointment with the hotel was the food. We had access to the dinner and breakfast buffets. The dinner was awful. Not one dish was remotely impressive, and we all left with tummy aches. I would not recommend eating dinner at the hotel. The breakfast was not too bad, as it is hard to go wrong with a breakfast buffet. Another problem with the hotel was the way that we were rushed to check out. We received constant bangs on our door in an attempt to get us to leave, even though we were completely on time. We had the right to take our time to leave, as we were not late to checkout. We were all frantically packing and had no time to properly gather our things. As a result, my wifeleft her shirt in the room. When we later called the hotel to ask about the shirt, they said they would call back and let her know, but we never received a call. This was disappointing, and part of the reason why we most likely won’t be returning to the Astir Odysseus.

The staff is amazing. Very friendly and quick to help. Beautiful resort and very well laid out. Several families were there during our visit, but you would never know. They have several separate pool areas for families. Food was very good. Fresh.

Excellent séjour dans cet hôtel. Superbe complexe,propre, accueillant... Nous avons séjourné dans une chambre standard. Elles sont spacieuses avec un petit balcon et un petit salon. Cet hôtel propose la demi pension d'office mais avec boissons payantes au dîner donc nous avons opté pour la formule all inclusive pour 27€ de plus par personne Restaurant à la carte 1 dîner par séjour Nous y retournerons
