Lovely stay
The property is well maintained and stocked, with everything you need. There are beautiful views over the mountains and the sea. Definitely recommend a walk into the village where there is a lovely coffee shop and great taverna.

Lovely villa
What a beautiful villa, modern but built in stone in a traditional style. From the garden there is a fabulous view of the mountains and the sea. We were a group of 7 (5 adults, 2 children) and we had a lovely stay, thank you. The villa has privacy, but is a 10 minute stroll to local village with an excellent coffee shop, well stocked mini market and a taverna restaurant. There are several beaches within a short driving distance, and Plakias beach resort is a 4.5km drive away, with plentiful restaurants and shops, and has a great place selling all sorts of iced cream, waffles and pancakes with chocolate or fresh fruit.

Sehr schönes Haus mit Meerblick und Pool
Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit in der Villa. Der Service der Vermieter war super und die Kommunikation funktionierte hervorragend und immer schnell. Die beiden unteren zimmer sind nicht so schön wie die oberen, eines hat kein Fenster, aber wir haben uns mit 8 Erwachsenen trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt. Es war an alles gedacht: Spülmittel, Waschpulver, Shampoo etc. Es gibt eine gute Taverne Fuß läufig im Ort und auch zwei schöne Strände kann man gut erwandern. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Schöne Villa mit Meerblick
Villa Thalia ist eine komfortable Unterkunft mit tollem Pool und schöner Aussicht auf das Meer bei Plakias. Viele Strände (große und kleine) sind von hier in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Die beiden Zimmer im Keller sind leider nicht so schön wie die in der oberen Etage. Trotzdem ist Villa Thalia besonders für Familien sehr zu empfehlen. Jederzeit wieder.

We had a fantastic experience all around. Place is beautiful, clean, great private location with a gorgeous view of the Mediterian Sea. Fully equipped, state of the art appliances. Irene was wonderful too, always approachable. Don't hesitate following her recommendation. A1 experience

Das Haus ist schön. Leider sind die Räume im Keller nicht gleichwertig mit den Räumen im Obergeschoss. Wir haben uns aber trotzdem sehr wohl gefühlt.

Summer 2019
Easy booking and excellent communication with property manager. Villa itself clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Pool and outside area lovely and felt secure as property has it's own gates. We would have liked a hard copy information pack with things like emergency numbers- we were grateful for the information email we were sent before our holiday but a pack would have been great. Small problem with aircon one day but technician visited within hours so excellent service. Beautiful villa in beautiful location!

Wonderful family vacation
We had a group of 8 young and older adults and stayed for 12 nights in May/June 2019. The villa and location were a perfect paradise. Everything we needed was nearby. Close to many beautiful beaches, delicious restaurants and amazing mountain drives. Valia was of great assistance prior to our arrival, and the villa owner Mr Antonis was very helpful and accommodating after we arrived. We would happily recommend this rental to anyone looking for a relaxing vacation away from the busier parts of this beautiful and amazing island. M & T Jesson, Massachusetts, USA

A super Villa it had everything we needed, it was clean, well equipped and everything worked.
My husband and I booked this villa for a family holiday to celebrate my 70th birthday. We were 8 adults and 2 grandchildren aged 8 and 10. The location was perfect for us - close to Damnomi beach which we love (5 mins in the car) and to Plakias which my husband and I have visited several times before. Everyone, especially the grandchildren enjoyed the pool which was kept clean and tidy by the pool man who visited every other day. Our host Mr Antonis was there to welcome us on our arrival and the cleaner came 3 times during our 8 day stay and kept the place spotless. We would highly recommend this villa. The service we received from Valia Kokkinou was superb, she replied to my emails within minutes and was extremely helpful in answering my queries. My only suggestion for improvement would be that a folder of local information on restaurants, taxi services and local walks would be useful. We had a wonderful holiday and I would like to thank all those involved in helping to make my 70th birthday unforgettable. I will definitely use Homeaway again in the future.

wonderful villa and location
We just had the most wonderful week at Villa Thalia. The view is sublime -- the pictures do not do it justice. It is windy, but that can't be helped, this is generally true of the Cretan southern coast. AC in the rooms work great.The location is great to explore the center southern coast. Plenty to see there. Plakias is 10 minutes away. A supermarket is 5 minutes away. Wonderful little beach at Shinaria is 10 minutes away (arrive early or you will have a hard time parking!). 2 hours from xania, an hour from triopetra, 90 minutes from Matala. Too far away to go to elafonissi. The swimming pool is very nice, so his the lounge chair area which is well protected from the sun. The kitchen could benefit from a microwave oven. The wifi works, but don't expect to stream game of thrones. All in all, a truly wonderful stay in Southrn crete for two families of four (which left a room to spare--10 people would still be comfortable).
