Perfect base to explore beautiful Lindos
We had five nights at Xenones while staying in Lindos for a wedding and it was perfect. It's in a great location for exploring the town and is right on the doorstep of all the bars and restaurants. We understand the larger hotels along the main road allow people to use their pools for the price of a drink which we did on one occasion and I'd recommend that - stay right in the heart of it at Xenones but the option of a pool is there. The terrace at Xenones where they serve breakfast and drinks is lovely with beautiful views over the town and of the Acropolis. We were in room D15 and the little shared courtyard outside was lovely for enjoying lunch or an evening drink. The rooms are fine with a decent size bed, lots of storage and a small kitchenette and bathroom. The very efficient aircon is free (just make sure you turn it off when out) and there is a small safe (although it's not bolted down - but the place is very secure). One tiny thing I would say is the kitchen could be slightly better equipped - there was no sharp knife, chopping board, olive oil, salt, pepper etc as you often get in self catering but it wasn't really a problem as we only made food a handful of times. Arther is a fantastic and very friendly host and nothing is too much trouble and before our arrival Andy was very helpful in assisting us with where to park. (Xenones is a short walk from one of the town's main car parks so very handy). We would throughly recommend Xenones for any Lindos stay.

For starts, finding the place took us 2 hours, gps sent us to a subsidiary with no people to help. 3 numbers provided of which no whatsapp, only international call. Second, the room was OK and nice view, but bathroom and kitchen stench made at times our stay unbearable. Sinks were installed without siphon. Not to be repeated.

We are sorry to read we did not manage to meet your expectations .On the other hand rest assured that for 30 euro a day you have received a lot .ore than paid. Let us point out that it's your responsibility to let us know up front with your estimated time of arrival. Given then fat that we are not a hotel our manager Arthur attends limited hours per day. All of our hundreds of visitors every year know this and follow our instructions, hence receiving easy to use self check in steps. Iam sure you are not expecting us to have someone on the spot 24/7.Our manager is one call away. You had his mobile phone and you could only call him for 5 seconds . You messaged us and although we had no information we responded immediately.Our rooms are above average comparing to those of the village and always in our price range. We are confident that for one night you stayed with us, this should not be an issue. Sinks are installed likewise in all Greece. Of course there are siphons, otherwise the water would not go to the drains. Hence not sure what exactly you are trying to say Hope to be given the chance and welcome you back. Kind regards,Andy

Excellent value for our one night stay. Isn’t the easiest reception area to find. The bathroom is a bit dated but overall the whole place was spotless. We had an outside area with table and chairs, also a drying area. I would definitely recommend for a short stay.

We avoid black our curtains as Lindos buildings lack of natural light, hence our guests actually ask from us to remove them. If this had been an issue during your short stay with us, we would appreciate it having pointed out on the spot so that we can solve it. Same applies to the issue about the door, which we have checked and found out that it can not be possible as door closes / opens / locks properly. Unfortunately my stay in this hotel was not a pleasant one. The rooms look cute in the photos and some really are. The reality however is that the photos can be very misleading. Our room was in a basement style courtyard. There were many annoying factors like a super noisy and not well functioning air-conditioner ,insects of all types ... especially the hundreds of tiny ants and bad bathroom equipment. The worst part however was for me the absolutely horrible matress. I could feel the metal springs piercing my back all night long. On the positive side the neighborhood is quiet and the property has an elevated level of security. Considering the high price and expectations this property rather let us down.

Given the fact that you have decided (for your own reasons) to post this review with out leaving your name, we are unable to track your reservation and go through your comments / complaints. On the other hand we welcome your direct email to us. In regards to your comments though, let us underline the following : 1. We offer the most or one of the most value for money accommodations in the village comparing to the rest of the choices you might have and based on our overall services. Our prices are 60% lower Vs 2019/2020 and these range between 50-70 euro per night for 2 during the high season, during which we assume you stayed in. If you consider the fact that from this amount there aprox 45% in agent fees, commissions and taxes we believe you will agree this is a bargain. 2. Mattresses quality are in line with our category and the fact that we offer basic , clean, safe village accommodation. We are unable to satisfy all of our guests. We are sorry if these too soft for yourselves. 3. Our property is in the country side. Occasionally and even if we proceed with certified pest controls often, there might be indents. This is normal in the Mediterranean islands. On the other hand you could have addressed this in person, while staying with us and we would gladly have taken all the necessary actions. Same applied for the noise of the a/c you claim has been an issue. 4. Our photos are not even professional. During the 15 years of our operation there has not been a similar complaint. In fact the opposite. Our guests usually telling us that they had lower expectations comparing to what they have finally experienced. All in all we underpromise and overdeliver and not the opposite. 5. Lindos structure is very unique and specific. There are no floors and balconies as forbidden likewise there are not basements. Village is famous for the ground level, pebble sharing courtyards studios. You have been definitely accommodated to one of our beautiful studios with nice gardens with the option always to use for free 24/7 our common roof top terrace just 10m away from them. Finally we are sorry we have not managed to meet your expectations, while ourselves and our fabulous team really trying so hard 2 years now to keep the property in good shape, under extremely difficult and dangerous conditions because of Covid and more over challenging times for our business when it comes to the financials, but we would like to welcome you back if you give us the chance and show you our hospitality. Hotel was lovely, amazing view of the acropolis from our room. Arther was pleasant and good communication with us. Unfortunately the beds weren't very comfy and we both had cold showers as there was no hot water but it was a good base nonetheless. Loved Lindos and the hotel was in a great spot!!

Great value, service and incredible views from bar
The hotel is in a great location, tucked away at the top of the old town. As with most of Lindos you can only access it on foot, which was fine for us, as we didn't have big bags. The room was nice with a table and chairs outside, plus our own drying rack for towels and cossies. The bed was large as two mattresses, but not the most comfy as lost it's firmness. There was also a wardrobe, dressing table, fridge and a kettle, plus some pans and an electric cooker, as well as plates and glasses but no washing up liquid or cloths. The bathroom was big and shower good, although ours didn't attach to the walls. Then round the corner was the real star of the show, the terrace with views over the acropolis! Also Arthur who runs this place is amazing, on hand in the morning and evening, every day with local advise and great drinks. We would always have a drink on the terrace as by far the best in Lindos, before going to dinner or when we got home. Also you can take your own food and drink up there too. Really good value and amazing service made up for the small faults to it being a slightly older hotel.

Great value for money but a bit rough around the edges. Lindos isn't a cheap destination so all things considered, xenones is a great stay in a very good location but don't expect too much. Views are great, as is the terrace. Bathrooms are fairly small and basic, bedroom is a decent size and clean, but the amenities were slightly lacking. We were told that they are going to get rid of the kitchenettes soon so don't expect too much in that department. Would stay again though.

Jolies maisonnettes typiques au cœur du village de Lindos. Magnifique terrasse donnant sur l’acropole. Le coin terrasse n’est pas privé et donne sur d’autres tables. L’interieur était un peu humide à notre arrivée et sentait un peu le renfermé. Il manque une couverture, le chauffage ne marchait pas, nous avons eu un peu froid dans la nuit. Le mobilier notamment dans la salle de bains est un peu vieillissant. Mais bon séjour dans l’ensemble.

Central location, close to amenities and beach.
Central location, close to beaches, restaurants, shops and bars. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, nothing too much trouble. Room was pretty basic but spotless, cleaned every day. Beds were comfortable and there was a good shower room and air conditioning. Beach towels available at no extra charge. Best feature was the rooftop balcony, spectacular views over town. Lindos is a very old town and sits on a hillside so can be quite steep in areas, flat shoes with good grip a good idea as the footing is a bit slippery from wear. Lindos is also pedestrianised so getting to your apartment means walking from the drop off point at the top of the town or the village square and walking. Lindos is also very busy with day trippers from other resorts to view the acropolis which is worth the climb. Rhodes town is approx 2 hours in the local bus but nice to visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lindos.

We stayed in the Economy Double with French balcony. The location was excellent very central and both beaches were easily accessible. In terms of facilities the apartment had everything we needed for our stay. Good value for money with the offer we got. The qualms we had were: the beds were very hard and uncomfortable, although a king sized bed was advertised it was actually two single mattresses put together, towels were only changed every three days, the shower was very small and only had a shower curtain, and on one of the days our toilet paper bin was not emptied when the apartment was cleaned. In addition some of the things advertised on Expedia about the property were incorrect. This is something we have taken up with Expedia separately.

A few comments though. We make the beds as twins or dbls as per our guests wish. Obviously a village accommodation can not change beds based on the guests wishes. We are sure that even a 5 star hotel would do the same. Majority of our guests love the beds. Some of them might find them softer some other harder. We wish we could satisfy all! Bed linens and towels changed every 3 stayed overnights. We have been running this business this way the last 12 years. We also mention it at our official web site. In your 4 nights stay there were changed once + on your arrival day. Bathroom size and showers in Lindos village are not the big side we are afraid. This is common due to the village's structure and restrictions by the archeological authorities to demolish and rebuild the studios. You had booked the economy small room with French balcony which has a shower and toilet of 3-4sqm. Most of our studios have shower and toilet of 4-7sqm Anything we advertise on Expedia or any other web site is accurate. Although we try to monitor this we bear no responsibility for any info given which is not correct, as long as this is not included on our official web site. Charming place in the center of Lindos
A friend and I spent a wonderful week in Lindos and in a small apartment belonging to Xenones. The accommodation was characterful, with beds on a raised platform, had basic but adequate bathroom and kitchen, and a pretty courtyard in which we spent many a leisurely breakfast. It's location being so close to the center of Lindos and the beaches could not have been better, and yet it was so quiet and peaceful. All the staff were so helpful and attentive, and coming every day to give the apartment a clean and tidy up, with sheets and towels being changed mid way through the week. Beach towels were also provided. A special mention needs to go to Arthur - nothing was ever too much trouble, one example being when he took time and effort in confirming our return transport to the airport and making sure we knew all the arrangements. It was excellent value for money. Lindos is charming, with its winding, narrow walkways and huge array of shops and restaurants. We very quickly took to beach life, opting for the larger main beach in Lindos, spending many relaxing hours on sun beds under a parasol ( €10 per day for 2). There was a lovely sense of calm, it never felt busy and the sea was breathtakingly clear. I for sure will be back again one day.

The apartments were basic (which we paid for an expected), but very clean, plenty of space and close enough to the beach and everything in the town. Air con and fridge included which is exactly what we needed!! Only sticking point was the beds, we found them very hard and uncomfortable and didn't sleep very well during our stay. But for what we paid, it was a cheap and cheerful stay and the staff were amazing, very helpful and informative.

La struttura è divisa in 3 blocchi, noi eravamo alloggiate nella camera A3: perfetta. Il blocco A è vicino alla reception, adiacenti vi sono gli altri due blocchi, da cui si accede direttamente alla terrazza panoramica bellissima (una delle migliori viste a Lindos) che permette di godere della vista su tutto il paese e l'Acropoli. In terrazza era possibile,a scelta, ordinare la colazione a pagamento. Ogni due giorni la camera veniva pulita, cambiate le lenzuola da letto,gli asciugamani da bagno e sapone. Dotata di aria condizionata che funzionava benissimo e di cassaforte. Camera molto grande, arredamento moderno, armadio con numerosi appendini, coperta per letto matrimoniale, tavolo interno. Angolo cottura essenziale: due fuochi, bollitore dell'acqua, un mini-frigor. Il minimo indispensabile (2 pentole,2 piatti piani,2 bicchieri,2 piattini per il dolce,2 tazze,2 ciotole da dolce) ma sufficiente. Forse scomodo la mancanza almeno dello scolapiatti. Bagno dotato di doccia senza box ma tenda molto pulita e prestando attenzione si evitava di allagare terra; nel complesso era comodo. Arrivate abbiamo trovato un problema legato all'angolo cottura ma risolto subito e il proprietario si è mostrato subito disponibilissimo a cambiarci camera, che abbiamo rifiutato aspettando venisse pronta la nostra. Gentilissimo anche ad aiutarci a noleggiare una macchina per i vari spostamenti, a darci informazioni e a procurarci su richiesta uno scolapasta, assente nella dotazione cucina.

Close to everything, but just far enough to relax
Really liked it here. The service from start to finish was excellent. The terrace is really nice with a great view of the Acropolis and a couple of nice cats. If you're looking for somewhere that's close to everything in Lindos, but not actually right in amongst it all, this place is perfect!

Part lovely, part bad achitecture
Great value for money in November. Big room and lovely balcony. However, this must be the smallest bathroom I've ever had to use. If the shower at least had glass windows, it would've been ok. But the shower curtain kept sticking to my legs and there was no way to get away from it due to the tiny size of the shower. Also, although the kitchen was well-stocked, there was no space to cook in. You had to unplug the kettle before you could use the toaster, which you had to unplug to try and find a space for the hot plates. The preparation of food had to be done elsewhere. Also, if anyone expected me to buy detergent and a cloth to wash dishes, they were in for a disappointment. I do not buy bottles of detergent and scrubs for a 2 day stay!! The cleaner cleaned the room literally in 3 minutes, so very much a surface clean. The little oven was still dirty from the previous stay. Eeew!

Ottima struttura nel cuore di Lindos
Perfettamente posizionato, deliziosamente arredato e ricco di conforts, allo Xenones Lindos non manca proprio nulla. Lo staff è gentilissimo e accogliente e in generale sono stata molto soddisfatta di averlo scelto. Lo consiglierei e ci tornerei sicuramente.

Beatiful place, but...
The room looked good, and the surroundings with the beatiful roof terrasse are just astonishing. But as many other apartments like this you are bound to your neighbours, since there are no noise isolation between the rooms or in the doors. We where unlucky a few nights with some very drunk 50 year old women keeping everyone up until the morning...

Well located, basic hotel
Pre-warned that arriving late evening in traffic-free Lindos we may struggle to find the hotel, we contacted them in advance and the owner kindly arranged for someone to meet us at the taxi drop-off to escort us to the hotel. Nice touch. The room opened out on to a lovely patio area, shared with a couple of other rooms and was agreat place to sit outdoors with an awesome view of the acropolis. The room however, whilst very clean, was quite basic and some of the room amenities listed on the Expedia site were not apparent e.g. tea/coffe maker (unless this was the kettle), sofa bed, dvd player. Also the wi-fi only worked in the patio, not in the room. The shower was a strange oblong shape that involved regular battles with the shower curtain! However the staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was kept lovely and clean.
