'When we arrived we were met by Leo who was our contact for the entire stay. He was our bartender, waiter, and tour guide. Leo made our vacation memorable, he went above and beyond. The resort was beautiful and all the employees where friendly and did everything to make sure we were comfortable and happy. When we go back to San Ignacio we will be staying at this resort again. The food was amazing.'

'The property and House was clean and cool with AC! The staff was so much fun and thoughtful! We learned so much from Alfred and Dwight throughout our stay! 'We had a wonderful experience at the black rock lodge, the staff is amazing and you can feel how passionate they are about their work. The Tikal visit is a must. We had an amazing day on site with our guide Noel, we learnt so much about Mayan history and jungle fauna. We did also the hike to the summit and the night walk with the guide. Both great. 'The property was much newer and hence in a better shape than the other hotel in the area. The place is well located bang in the center of the town with easy access to everything. The aircon was good, there is a fridge in the room and there is a rooftop pool. There is also a microwave and coffee in the common area The negative is that no breakfast is served. There are many restaurants within meters of the place.'

'The hotel was pretty modern and new. The double suite was very large and beautiful. It was a pretty quiet, family business and the staff was so nice and accommodating. It felt like staying with family. The food was delicious as well. The area is pretty isolated, but a short cab ride can take you to town for groceries and restaurants. Super refreshing and pretty pool, and the beds were SO comfortable. '

'The landscaping of this property is amazing and the pool was great. You get to see animals, birds, and plants native to the area. All the staff was friendly and the on site restaurant had great food and drinks. The Cahel Pech ruins is this resorts neighbor so you can walk right to it. Be mindful, it is on top of a steep hill. I highly recommend and would return.'

'This is such a beautiful property that really immerses you in the nature of San Ignacio. Rose cooked fresh breakfast everyday that was absolutely delicious, and her and her husband were super kind. 'Clean, quiet, and inexpensive option convenient to everything in San Ignacio. The manager, Hugo, was on site and very helpful during our stay. The kitchen area was well stocked with dishes and utensils and was nice to have available. AC worked well in the rooms and it was a relief to have the option to cool off at the end of each day. We’d happily stay there again.'

'I'm very happy we stayed here. Simple. Sweet. We did not use the AC and left the windows open for air. It was a little noisy at night, but not the fault of the hotel. Ezra made us really delicious breakfasts for us each morning. Staff were all very kind. '
