'The staff were excellent. The Xmas decorations lovely. Made to feel very welcome. The food I had was excellent. There is a nice bar attached just refitted, Underfloor heating in the bathroom is a nice touch also. One of the few hotels I have had a decent sleep in their beds. It is on a busy road so during the week the traffic starts around 6.30 but not really an issue as I would be be getting up for work. They make really good proper scramble eggs for breakfast. 'Loved the location, quiet and lovely grounds. Was quite far from any towns, so if that is important, it might be something to consider. Not enough towels. Tiny kitchen area. All bedrooms and the only bathroom were all up a huge flight of stairs and the beds were very uncomfortable. Very pricey for what was offered. Would get unaffordable quickly if you stayed for very long.
But it was a lovely home in a lovely area and very quiet and clean.
