'We had a great 40th birthday trip at the house! It is a great property and hosts are very responsive. There was an issue that the listing when we booked (8 months prior) had different information that was changed without notice. However, once the issue was discovered it was resolved - very responsive. We loved the hot tub and walking distance to downtown! '

The apartment itself was cozy and sweet—close to the charm of Carmel Village, yet nestled in a quiet place that felt worlds away. And Jen, the host, brought a warmth and kindness that made it all the more...

'This is a stunning property with classic California / Big Sur design and appointments. We stayed for two nights. My wife and I were in the primary (huge), kids in the second bedroom in the main house, my mom (70s) in the guest house, and our au pair stayed in the separate room below the primary. 'The perfect combo of a rustic cabin and updated amenities like kitchen and bath. Outdoor patios and spaces very welcoming. Location awesome! Not truly walking distance to the heart of the village but a great little road to get there for all the great eating spots, wineries, art. We loved it!'

'The studio apartment at Barlocker’s Ranch was perfect for our quick visit to Salinas. It was very clean and the beds were super comfortable. The area is beautiful and we enjoyed walking our dog around the property. Samantha, the host who we met upon arrival, was incredibly kind and friendly and made us feel very welcome. All communication with the hosts was clear with quick responses. We hope to return in the near future. '
