The Finch House is een prachtig huis ontworpen met jou in gedachten. Vanaf het moment dat je door de deur loopt, zorgen de open plattegrond en moderne gemakken ervoor dat je je meteen thuis voelt. Dit huis is uitgesproken ingericht en biedt alles wat u nodig heeft om uw verblijf zo te maken als u had gehoopt. Als u binnenkomt, kijkt de open keuken uit op de eet- en woonkamer met uitzicht op de 21 voet hoge stenen open haard. Uit de woonkamer, maar dicht bij de actie, is een gezellige zit- en entertainmentruimte, met een 55 "smart tv aan de muur met Xfinity-kabel. De eerste verdieping master biedt een kingsize bed, dressoir en nachtkastje. De master badkamer en inloopkast bevinden zich naast de slaapkamer gescheiden door een prachtige schuurdeur. De eerste verdieping heeft ook een gemakkelijke toegang tot een damestoilet, open wasruimte en kast. De tweede verdieping bevat twee grote slaapkamers met een gedeeld bad. De slaapkamer, met een queensize bed, kijkt uit op de kreek en bevat ook deuren in schuurstijl die kunnen worden geopend om naar beneden te kijken op de woonkamer en de open haard of gesloten voor privacy. De tweede slaapkamer bevat een dubbele stapelbed en een stapelbed in loftstijl. Ingericht in een openluchtthema in het Nationaal Park, is deze kamer ontworpen om de avonturierssappen voor jong en oud te laten stromen. Ga door de open hal langs grote oude schuurbalken naar de open zolder met uitzicht op de kreek, woonkamer en eetkamer. Het hok heeft een 55 "slimme televisie, bank en stoelen aan de muur. Dit huis bevat veel bordspellen, boeken en puzzels voor alle leeftijden.

Honestly one one the nicest rental houses we’ve ever stayed in. Immaculately clean, lots of room, and well stocked with anything you could need. The outdoor area has plenty of seating and the creek is very peaceful. 10 minute drive into town with great shopping and dining options. If you find yourself in this area I would highly recommend this house!

Finch House is a wonderful property. The location right beside a stream is peaceful. All of the light switches are labeled!! That is a level of detail much appreciated. The entire aesthetic of the home was perfect. I coild have sat for hours outside on the patio or the sheltered shed porch. Thank you John and Kathleen for such a pleasant stay. Definitely "exceptional".P.S. As someone who grew up in Westmoreland County, I have always loved the town of Ligonier!

Third stay at the Finch house and we can’t wait to book in the fall. The house is beautiful inside and out and has all of the quality amenities of home (but much cleaner!). Hands down, this is our family’s favorite getaway house.

I stayed for a weekend with friends (middle-aged women), and we were all in love with this charming, beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed, and comfortable house. Great location - easy to find and close to the town center. Nice spaces to sit outside for coffee in the morning or drinks in the evening around a fire to enjoy the sounds of the creek. Inside spaces are exactly as pictured, and the house lacks for nothing - plenty of kitchen supplies, towels, games, books, and even a diffuser with the blow dryer, which was much appreciated by those of us with curls :). Comfortable beds, too. Communication with the hosts was excellent. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

The home was perfect. Picture perfect view out the dining room off the patio of a babbling brook, which was so nice to listen too. Very clean, beautiful decorating, comfortable beds, lots of room, and everything you need to home cook meals. The location was great, a short scenic ride to Laural Mountain if you are staying there to ski.

We couldn’t ask for a better location for a holiday family get together. The Finch House did not disappoint. This house was so beautifully decorated and so very clean. The private location along the creek was so beautiful and peaceful. John was a great host and was available for any questions. My family was so sad to leave. We spent 3 nights at this beautifully remodeled house. It was easy to find and was exactly as the VRBO ad said. Lots of space for everyone, it was clean, games for the kids, lots of room for entertaining. We will be back. Thankyou for making our trip a 5 Star trip and we can't wait to go back.

As always the Finch House was an amazing stay! From the open floor plan that provides ample space for our family to spread out and relax, to the comfortable beds, to the large dining table that allowed us to enjoy a meal together Finch House has it all. The weather was perfect so using the grill and having a fire outside by the babbling creek also added to the perfect fall getaway! Thank you for being great hosts and sharing your wonderful property!

We had a wonderful time at John and Kathleen's home. The house was comfortable with lots of seating, plenty of kitchen equipment, a great layout and lots of natural light. Our favorite part was the outdoor space and the covered seating looking out over the creek. The location was an easy drive into town. Overall I would recommend this home for a relaxing family getaway.

We stayed here for a relaxing bachelorette weekend away from everything. The backyard was gorgeous and we had so much fun on the creek, having campfires, and enjoying the outdoor patio. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms where we did not have any issues. Highly recommend.

This property was one of the nicest properties we have rented. It is very well stocked with just about everything you’d need. The owners have done a great job with the decor and making it feel very comfortable. Also, the owners were very responsive with any questions we had prior to our arrival. We were 6 adults together for the weekend to celebrate ringing in 2024. The accommodations were great. You could have more people and be very comfortable. We look forward to possibly renting the property again. We had a great time!

Beautiful home with awesome outdoor areas to relax or visit with loved ones. Our children loved the bunk beds and all the little touches that made them feel like they had their very own area. Three couples have been traveling together for over 40 years this cabin / house ranks as the best we ever had for a good price ! It has it all there is nothing I can name that it is lacking and has a great host that responds quickly to any questions or problems his only fault is he is not an Ohio state fan .

This was our first get-away with our adult children, their spouses and our grandchildren. We were all THRILLED with the accommodations! The home is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The home is in a peaceful setting. It so relaxing to sit by a trickling creek! We enjoyed a fire in the firepit on Saturday evening. On Sunday we went to Idlewild for several hours in the morning. The home is about 15 minutes from Idlewild, so we were able to give the children naps in the afternoon and then return to the park late afternoon and evening. Our grandson loved playing in the creek even though the water was cold. We took a few toy boats along, fishing line and a fishing pole. He enjoyed releasing the boat and then reeling it in! The grandchildren enjoyed building with the Lincoln logs. There are quality adult and children's books available. John & Kathleen are great communicators! I will definitely stay here again when I'm in the area.

Everything about this home is amazing! Such a warm welcome and all amenities were wonderful. We especially enjoyed our time outside right by the stream. Relaxing and comfy seating. The interior design is gorgeous and warm. Simply everything you could ask for! We were there to visit family in Ligonier and the location of this home was perfect! Just a quick drive into town and lots to do and see there. From the first communication with the owner to the check-in and check-out process, John was quick to answer my questions and to respond. This home is a rare find and we appreciated all that was done to make us feel welcome. We will definitely return!

This home exceeded all of our expectations. It was impeccably clean with beautiful furnishings with a well stocked kitchen. The serene creek in the backyard adds to the tranquil setting. The convenience of being close to downtown Ligonier and Idlewild Park was a bonus. They also had a wide variety of games and toys available for bad weather days. I highly recommend this home for a relaxing and memorable getaway.
