'Breakfast was great. Hot, served fast and flexible. The staff in the restaurant were great. Compliments to the chef. The only thing we found was a difficulty with the television. You had to stand right in front of it and hold the 'on button for about 30 seconds before it would come on. Also, it was difficult to change channels, especially getting to number 1. It wiould have been nice to have instructions if that is normal and a list of channels available. '

'Despite an excellent location just next to the entrance to the cathedral, this hotel is another of those run-down, bleak firetraps from way back in the last century. You know it's old as soon as you climb the narrow stairs to the tiny reception area and notice the grimy carpet and chipped woodwork. Getting to your room involves climbing meandering stairs that go one way, up another short flight of stairs, and then still in another direction. (There is no lift.) My room had a nice bed but little...

'Good location, walkable to Canterbury Cathedral. Good single room, comfortable bed. Hosts were very friendly and helped me up to my room by carrying my suitcase. Since I was on the top floor, this was much appreciated. Breakfast was plentiful starting with continental choices and then a full cooked meal with several choices on the menu. Very good value for the cost.'

'Jeugdherberg in mooi oud pand met veel 40+ gasten, veel nationaliteiten, heel goede sfeer, aardig personeel, bedden goed, maar kort(!) , alles oogt schoon, familiekamer op bg met 2 stapelbedden is best propvol, maar lounge+ eetkamer+centrale keuken is prima. Ontbijt is gevarieerd en lekker. 1 echt nadeel: heel veel lawaai van passerend verkeer. S nachts gelukkig minder. Zou zo weer boeken voor 1 nacht. '

Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 10am. With a relatively late check-in time and quite an early check-out, a later check-out option would be much appreciated.
