Particuliere retraite stappen (1 minuut) van zandstrand park, diepe tegenslag van straat. Prachtig uitzicht op het water van Long Island Sound vanuit elke kamer. Zonsopgangen en zonsondergangen boven het water. Schoon en ruim luxe 4BR 3BA modern huis op 0,5 hectare groot met eerste verdieping slaapkamer en een grote Master BR suite! Gastronomische keuken, hardhouten vloeren, comfortabele bedden, antiek en meer. Air conditioning met grote rondom dek aan drie zijden en buiten dineren, gas grill. Mooi landschap met iets altijd in bloei. Twee kajaks, tafeltennis, tafelvoetbal en heel veel spelletjes en boeken. Loop naar de stad op trottoirs (20 minuten). Dicht bij Guilford Green met charmante boetieks en kleine kruidenier. Grote supermarkt en Walmart 5 minuten rijden met de auto. Clinton-winkels winkelen op slechts 15 minuten met de auto. Veel geweldige lokale restaurants, lokale verse vismarkt en wekelijkse boerenmarkt in Madison. Vang een gratis stuk of concert op Green in de stad tijdens de zomer of geniet van live muziek en dans lokaal. Mis niet de koffiebranderij, chocolatier, authentieke Franse bakkerij, handwerk- en juweliers en kunstgalerijen. In de winter kunt u genieten van een knetterhouthaard in de open haard met kalksteen. Wasgoed gunstig gelegen op de tweede verdieping. Mogelijkheden om te golfen, tennissen en zwemmen. 20-25 minuten naar Yale / New Haven met de auto of trein. Gemakkelijk dagtochten naar Mystic Seaport / Aquarium (~ 1 uur.), Mohegan Sun / Foxwoods (~ 45 min.), NYC (~ 1. 5 uur.), Boston (~ 2. 5 uur.), Block Island.

We had a great stay! We appreciated the host leaving the Christmas tree and other festive decorations as we were staying over the holidays. The water views from the house are beautiful. But it was a little unclear how to actually access the water. It turns out if you're willing to walk across the neighbor's lawn, there's a very nice trail to the beach. We mainly hung out at the house, doing a lots of cooking in the very well equipped kitchen and playing games and ping pong. The art work in the house was also interesting.

Our family of 6 adults and 2 toddlers enjoyed a week in Guilford. The children safely played in the yard and rode their push bikes in the driveway. The privacy and views were excellent. The house easily provided ample space for us all. We walked to the beach and enjoyed playing in the sand and running in the splash pad. Mystic Aquarium and Hamonassett State Park were easy car rides. Our host Judy could not have been nicer. The town of Guilford is very charming and only 1 mile from the rental. We had a wonderful week.

Lived in by owner, not the best option for kids

The house is in a beautiful location with a view of the water, close to downtown Guilford and a short walk to Jacob’s Beach. While the beach is nearby, it’s worth noting that it’s quite rocky and the water is a bit murky.The home is clearly lived in by the owner, which made the stay feel more like being in someone else’s personal space than a vacation rental. The décor and aren’t particularly suited for guests, especially kids. Upon check-in, the host walked us through various appliances in detail, which came off as overly particular. There was no user-friendly guide for the house- just a stack of appliance manuals and a few notes scribbled on a whiteboard.Overall, Guilford is a charming town and we enjoyed exploring the area, but the house and host experience didn’t fully meet our expectations for a relaxing rental.

Great house with nice open layout in the living room, dining room kitchen area which made hanging out with our big group of 8 people very enjoyable. Well appointed kitchen, everything you need for the beach (chairs, towels), etc. Amazing views of the coastal area and the ocean. Communication with the host was very easy. Nice area to explore and enjoy. We had a wonderful time and will be back for sure!

Family beach week

This was a return visit to this property that is just a short walk from Jacob’s Beach and park. This beach is great for children as it is protected from large waves and is shallow for a good distance out from the shore. The house has lots of toys for the children and plenty of room for everyone.

Fabulous family getaway location

We spent six nights in this home with our adult children, their spouses, and our six year old granddaughters. We were all quite happy to have stayed here. It was spacious enough to gather for meals and games, both inside and on the deck, even when two more family members visited during the day. The basement and yard provided places to play when the kids weren’t at the beach or playground. Everything we wanted was an easy walk or drive. Sunrise, sunset and water views were the icing on the cake. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay in this lovely home again.

This is a well equipped home for a family stay. The lower level has lots of toys for children and some games for teens and adults. There was plenty of equipment for the beach and water fun. The beach and playground is a 5 minute walk. Many restaurants are a short drive away.

Beautiful views overlooking Long Island Sound

Judy was a responsive host who met us at the house when we arrived. This beautiful house had water views from all three sides of the wrap around deck. The house was located right across the street from the beach and in walking distance from a couple of local favorite restaurants in the nearby harbor. We had a well needed quiet and relaxing weekend with friends in this gorgeous, tranquil area.

Our Family Gathering

We all loved the setting and layout of this wonderful house. The kitchen is amazing! Our meals were easy to make together. Lots of space to gather together for a surprise Baby Shower. A great playroom for the little ones. The bedrooms were so comfortable and plentiful. The highlight for the little ones was the jacuzzi!! We want to come back to this lovely place.
