Our stay had two issues, of which one was resolved by the hotel staff, and the second was left unresolved for the duration of our visit.
First, we booked three identical rooms through Expedia, all of which were to be pool-side rooms with 2 queen beds. When we were checking in, the hotel claimed we had booked two pool side rooms and one standard room. After we were checked in, I pulled up the prepaid reservation and pointed out to the staff the discrepancy. The hotel staff resolved this issue with a $50 gift card of my choice.
The second issue was the hot tub. I am a chronically disabled vet with herniated discs in my back. I knew the waves at the beach would introduce extra discomfort, so we specifically selected the hotel because it had the hot tub. The first night the hot tub started warm, but began cooling while we were in it around 9PM. The next morning the pool and hot tub were the same low temp and my wife reported the issue with the hot tub to the front desk staff. The staff informed her that the hot tub had just been repaired and would take several hours to heat up (which was understandable for that volume of water). Around lunch time, we checked to see if it were any warmer, and it was still the same cold temp. We were told that maintenance had just replaced a part about 20 minutes ago and again told it would take several hours for the temp to rise. We checked again at night and were told a contractor was coming. It was still cold the following morning at checkout.
