Het hele jaar door prachtige Lake Home op Birch Lake 3 uur van Minneapolis

Ons huis, onze erfenis ... uw speeltuin en ontsnapping. Je thuis weg van huis. Deze prachtige woning met 4 slaapkamers, 3 badkamers, uitzicht op het meer en de oever van het meer is comfortabel voor 8-10 personen. Ruime en volledig ingerichte open keuken. Loftsuite, 2 slaapkamers op de begane grond en een badkamer en een slaapkamer en een bad op het lagere niveau. Open plattegrond. Zeer groot dek, gas grill en zitplaatsen voor acht of meer. Wasmachine en droger op lager niveau.
Er is 85 voet zandstrand en oever van het meer op slechts een steenworp afstand van de voordeur. Dock beschikbaar voor het beveiligen van uw boot en vishuis voor het schoonmaken van vis. Birch Lake is ongelooflijk helder en geschikt om te zwemmen, vissen, jetskiën en varen. Bass, Northerns, Walleye, Crappies en Sunny's kunnen allemaal worden gevangen op Birch Lake. De openbare overloop ligt op slechts 1,5 km van onze aanlegsteiger. Birch Lake stelt nooit teleur met prachtige zonsondergangen zomer of winter. Op loopafstand van ons huis ligt de prachtige Paul Bunyan State Trail, een multifunctioneel recreatief spoorpad dat loopt tussen de steden Brainerd en Bemidji. Vernoemd naar de gigantische houthakker Paul Bunyan van de Amerikaanse folklore, is het pad het langste continu verharde pad in de Verenigde Staten. Uitstekend geschikt voor fietsen, wandelen, inline skaten en lef.
Hackensack ligt op loopafstand van het huis en de lokale bevolking verwelkomt de mogelijkheid om Mark's Market-supermarkt, Swansons Bait Shop, wekelijkse loterijen bij het American Legion, de beste ijzerhandel, tennisbanen en de centrale speeltuin voor jongeren te delen. Als je niet op het meer bent, bekijk dan Bear Paws Movie Theater op slechts 3,2 km afstand.
Walker ligt op slechts 20 minuten ten noorden en is de thuisbasis van vele winkels en eetgelegenheden. Bekijk Chase on the Lake, Northern Lites Casino, het jaarlijkse Eel Pout Festival en Reeds Sporting Goods.
De winter in dit huis brengt een geheel nieuw niveau van sereniteit! Het is mooi en stil. De perfecte plek om te rusten, te reflecteren en comfortvoedsel te delen tijdens betekenisvolle gesprekken, branden op het met sneeuw bedekte strand of de open haard en inhalen van langverwachte boeklezingen. Gezellig en intiem is dit een van de mooiste tijden van het jaar om te vieren.

We enjoyed another great stay at Odie’s Place. Plenty of space for everyone on three levels with a view that can’t be beat. They have thought of everything you need in the kitchen and the extra fridge/freezer in the garage comes in handy. The beach area is great for reading, floating/paddle boarding and camp fires. We enjoyed the patio and deck area as well. Everyone could enjoy a meal together at the huge kitchen table or have multiple games going on at once. Communication with the hosts has always been exceptional. Odie’s Place is truly special.

Great Place for a Family get Away

Every summer my husband’s side of the Family does a long weekend away together at a rent on the lake. Odie’s Place was an amazing place to stay!!!! They have all the amenities you could need. Bedrooms were comfy, the decks are so nice. Many times we were out sitting and visiting on the deck. The beach was incredible, water was clear for swimming, and the host had plenty of chairs to relax in! There was a fire pit as well on the beach which is always a favorite of mine to be sitting on the beach at night listening to the wave while sitting by the fire.The host is great and very quick to respond. Defiantly a place we would like to stay at again!

This was our third stay at Odie's Place, and we absolutely love it here. The cabin fits our family growing family perfectly. Each of our adult children and their spouses enjoy the location, especially Birch Lake and its proximity to Hackensack and the nearby town of Walker.Odie’s Place is well-stocked, super ammenities and offers the perfect blend of convenience, natural beauty, and comfort. We especially appreciate the lovely beach area, dock, and outdoor gathering spaces. The lake is wonderful, and Odie’s makes it even better!

We absolutely love Odie's Place and would love to come back again for a third time! They have all the kitchen stuff you need, fishing poles/life jackets, beach toys, yard games, indoor board games, movies... the works! Highly recommend! Beautiful views and locations.

Beautiful and Relaxing

This was our third trip to Odie’s Place and once again enjoyed a lovely week despite some cold, rainy weather. The cabin itself is so accommodating with 3 different levels to give everyone some space when spending days indoors and the huge table was perfect for games-we often had 2 games going in at the same time with plenty of space. There are also lots of options for spending time outdoors as well-with a deck, patio with seating and gas fire table and beach area. We brought our boat and enjoyed some time crusading the lake and fishing. We have been renting cabins for over 30 years and these owners have really thought of everything and they are always quick to respond to questions-definitely top notch.

Great lake home for families.

Very clean and spacious home. It was well-stocked with everything we needed (although you may want to bring a few rolls of TP). Lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy. The lake was great for swimming. We rented a boat for 3 days of our time there and had good fishing. It's very close to a paved bike trail that takes you to Hackensack in just a few minutes. Our family had a wonderful time.

50 year anniversary family get together

Very clean, updated lake property. We had 7 adults and 2 children. The dining room table was large and comfortable for meals. Also we used picnic table for meals too. Our 11 year old grandson spent many hours fishing and caught many fish. It was the best fishing off a dock we had. Had many fires in fire pit and in gas pit. Some days were rainy so we appreciated all the books in living room and loft and downstairs to read Also a variety of games. When the weather was nice we enjoyed the yard games. Also the Kayak and canoe We had a wonderful week!On Friday we found a restaurant , the Chase, to celebrate our 50 year anniversary. It topped off a great family week in a perfect family cabin! Thank you so much!!

Our Early Summer Northwoods Retreat

This is our second 2 week stay at Odie's and we love it!!! The proximity to Hackensack and Walker are a big selling point for us. Our growing family appreciates the location and amenities. We equally enjoy the inside and outside facilities! A quiet well equipped, serene spot.

Beautiful home in Hackensack

Sept 28-Oct 1st 2023 We had such a wonderful time @ your Beautiful home It had everything you could possibly need.The view of the lake & sunsets were absolutely perfect ! The owners were wonderful to work with .We definitely will be back the 6 of us. Check out the town in Walker fun town for shopping & golfing & the drive is only 15 minutes. Beautiful property, inside and out. Enjoyed the lake, beach area, patio, and huge table. The pictures of the property are accurate- just as nice as it looks. Kitchen well stocked with good quality cookware etc.

Wonderful Getaway

This is our 2nd year and Odie’s Place and once again it was a wonderful experience. Such a peaceful, relaxing cabin and space. The owners have thought of everything you could ever need from the kitchen to the bedrooms and bathrooms to the children’s area and beach/lake options. The beach area is a great spot to read a book or enjoy the water or just take a nap in the hammock. The deck and patio are an added bonus and a great place to enjoy a quiet morning read or evening cocktail. Communication with the owners is also easy and clear and it it obvious they care a great deal that everyone has an amazing experience during their stay. We have been renting cabins for over 20 years and can’t recommend Odie’s Place highly enough. Can’t wait to come back next summer!

First Vrbo experience

After a shaky start, everything after went as I had hoped. The cabin was beautiful and everything we needed was available except we ran out of toilet paper and paper towels which we expected with 14 people. We enjoyed ourselves very much.

Property was even better than pictured, so nice to have so many hang out areas, lots of chairs, big grill, nice beach area, lots of life jackets/floaties/beach toys/nice dock area. Kids loved the swimming area and had great time fishing. Kitchen was beautiful, easy spot to work in with many cooks. Second fridge in garage was clean and convenient. Super convenient and easy access to Paul Bunyan State Trail and town. Our 4 year old had an easy time making the distance. The road that the cabin is on was nice and quiet, truly such a peaceful spot to enjoy the long weekend. Even the lake itself wasn’t super busy. Wonderful hosts to work with, we will definitely be back.

Wonderful and relaxing

This place had it all. Two families with kids 0 to 12 stayed. There was tons of space inside and out with lots to do. The hosts have really thought of everything. It was great not needing to pack every single thing. They had the baking essentials, life jackets, bikes, sand toys, beach towels and it goes on. The little town is also cute and fun. We spent most our time at the house but enjoyed ice cream, the brewery and the kids fishing contest each week is a must! Pros- Could walk to town Large, clean and spacious house Hosts were very responsive Lots of outside space The neighbors are very friendly and shared the ins and outs Sandy beach and fire pit were great Had everything we needed such as sugar, flour, firewood, sand toys, life jackets etc. Cons- Sound traveled throughout the house The basement was very cold so no one wanted to sleep down there (there were additional sleeping spaces so no big deal)

A Delightful Return to Margaret and Kirk's Cabin

This was our second year staying at Margaret and Kirk's cabin, and we were thrilled to see the numerous improvements they've made to their already fantastic property. With ample space for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids under the age of 5, everyone felt comfortable and at ease. The beach is perfect for our needs - it offers plenty of room for the kids to play and the water is crystal clear, free of seaweed. We even had some fun fishing off the dock using the provided fishing poles. Having access to the washer/dryer was a huge plus, allowing us to wash all our clothes and towels during our stay. The appliances are top-notch and make everything so much more convenient. The cabin's location is another highlight, as it's within walking distance to both the park and the ice cream shop. We absolutely love staying at this charming cabin and look forward to our next visit!

Good times at Odie's Place super spot!

We enjoyed this clean and very well equipped cabin. Our entire family 8 adults and our grandaughter were comfortable. The cabin is so close to town and the bike trail. All the appliances and untensils we needed were available. Comfortable and spacious, great neighbors beautiful interior and exterior. Birch Lake is gorgeous.and we love the view from inside the cabin. We hope to be back next year.
