Lake Forest Lodge heeft een adembenemend uitzicht op Keuka Lake en is gelegen op 3. 5 hectare dennen en hardhout. Deze woning heeft het beste van twee werelden, want het heeft ook voorgevel. De cabine heeft 3 niveaus: de begane grond heeft een grote kamer met gashaard, een gezellige woonkeuken en een ruime eetkamer met 10 stoelen. Deze kamers kijken uit op het meer en bieden een geweldig uitzicht op het Keuka-meer. Ook bevinden zich op het hoogste niveau zijn 2 slaapkamers en 1. 5 baden. Het lagere niveau bestaat uit een zithoek met een grote slaapbank, een slaapkamer, een complete badkamer en een wasmachine en droger. De open zolder op de derde verdieping heeft een charmant houten bed. Er zijn verschillende grote dekken voor ontspanning en verzamelen voor maaltijden met familie en vrienden in een privéomgeving. LFL ligt op een heuvel aan de overkant van het meer, dat een afgelegen en rustige omgeving biedt. Opmerking: De voorkant van het meer is toegankelijk door te lopen of over onze 'steile' oprijlaan te rijden, de weg over te steken en verder te gaan over de gemeenschappelijke / steile oprijlaan waar we 2 parkeerplaatsen beschikbaar hebben. Ongeveer 50 trappen leiden u naar het schilderachtige dek en de eigen aanlegsteiger.


Andere activiteiten in de omgeving: Geniet van een verscheidenheid aan restaurants op en rond het meer of in het charmante dorp Hammondsport. Ervaar de beste wijnen van het Finger Lake langs de beroemde Keuka-wijnroute. Wandel langs de waterkant en het plein van Hammondsport terwijl u geniet van ijs. Blader door de antiek- en cadeauwinkels. Maak een ritje naar The Windmill Farm & Craft Market of bezoek de Indian Pines Farmer's Market voor zelfgemaakte taarten, gebakjes, gelei, fruit en groenten. Watkins Glen Raceway en State Park liggen op ongeveer 30 minuten afstand. Neem de kinderen go-cart racen, wandelen of fietsen op de lokale paden. Waterscooters zijn te huur bij de plaatselijke jachthavens.

My friends and I had a lovely time at this cabin. The dock was great to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The house is big enough for everyone to have their own space.

We stayed for a long weekend on the lake for a bachelorette trip. Loved the lake access, the large windows, and the ski ball machine! The house was super cozy and air conditioning was very easy to control. We used each bed and everyone had a great stay. Smart TVs were very nice to have as well. The driveway was very steep, tough to pull car up or walk up with the potholes, but wouldn’t stop me from staying here. Great views of the lake and the porch furniture was perfect for dinners outside. Overall, we would stay here again if visiting the area!

Booked this place for a bachelorette party since it had a lot of rooms, a good location, and a reasonable price. The cabin was charming and clean. The kitchen was well-stocked with coffee machine, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, etc. The location was convenient - close to the village of Hammondsport and a lot of wineries. Beware, the driveway is very steep. The cabin is not directly on the water but across the street. There was dock access with kayaks that we definitely would have used if the weather was nicer. Owner was communicative. He even left us a champagne bottle for our stay, which was super sweet!

Wonderful long weekend relaxing, visiting wineries and enjoying spectacular views from the deck. Great house , comfortable, and well appointed. The owner was great to work with and was an excellent communicator.

Although the host, Brian, was very pleasant and responsive, the property was far less than luxury. It did have a stellar lake view and large porch. Upon arrival there was obvious signs of mice in the living room including feces and bundles of hair. We cleaned up and Brian immediately made an appointment with an exterminator. A few days later, mice feces on the counter and dining table, our 4 year old daughter picked up a dead mouse which was in the play/toy area surrounded in blood. We informed Brian and he agreed to refund us for the portion of our trip that we chose not to stay.Even though our family vacation was cut short and overall ruined, I would have liked to seen more than a daily prorated refund but that is not what was provided.The great room was pretty cool and the kids LOVED the ski ball. Other than that, the condition of everything outside was in need of repair or cleaning. The grill was filled with grease and leaves from what appeared to be last season/winter. The main security gate on the deck would not close which made us a bit nervous with the little ones. The driveway to get up to the property is extremely steep and difficult to navigate by foot or in car. Lots of dangerous potholes. I do think that Brian is a pleasant host but the property does not live up to the standards as advertised. Maybe with a lot of attention to the property, it could be back to a desirable condition. Give it a chance after problems are all taken care of.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was an almost perfect late fall weekend and just loved being able to watch the sunrise from the comfort of our living room. Everything was as stated in the description. Having a heavy duty crew cab pickup presented an interesting endeavor getting turned around 😆, the driveway was very steep and not a ton of room. I managed. Skee Ball was a huge hit. Didn’t explore the dock since it was the last weekend of October. Would definitely consider staying there in the future. The host, Brian, was very responsive to questions.

We had a great time enjoying our yearly family get together here. This cabin is huge and has a ton of charm and character. Keuka lake is beautiful as always. Brian was diligent and provided all the info we needed to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend staying here.

We had such an amazing and relaxing week here (I say this while traveling with 3 teenagers) . The house had plenty of room and everything we needed. The property was absolutely gorgeous, very private and relaxing. There was plenty to do between the wineries (Bully Hill being our favorite and only 10 minutes away), kayaking, swimming and snorkeling (very clear waters), and hiking. The kids had great luck fishing right off the dock and really loved the skee ball machine. There was one day when it rained alot but we didn't mind because the huge living room comfortably fit us all for a movie day. Plus the rain made the waterfall on the property really come alive. Once the rain stopped, we sat on the deck watching and listening to it while eating dinner. The host, Brian, also checked in on us when the weather was bad that day and throughout the whole stay was always available for questions. We take a family vacation every year and I have to say this was one of our favorites... we have people from 15-80 years old and it had something for everyone to enjoy.

We rented a pontoon boat and tube which we kept docked at the private dock all week. Had so much fun exploring the lake and tubing every day. The views from the house are spectacular and we were able to catch a sunrise from the dock as well. LOVED this property so much - thank you!!

What a perfect place to be during a heat wave! The enormous deck is such a jewel of this property and was utilized in so many ways: coffee at the bar, Yahtzee tournaments and scrapbooking at the tables, full moon gazing, huge lake floatie command station, etc. The living room was perfect for whole group movie nights and HGTV marathons for the lazy mornings. The deck on the lake with the provided kayaks were so much fun and refreshing! Keuka lake is not really that busy with boaters and such, so if you're looking for some serenity, you can find it there. The driveway was scary the first time going up with a fully packed mini van, but after that, we got the hang of it. The surrounding towns of Hammondsport, Penn Yan, Watkins Glen etc. all seemed to close up shop pretty early (restaurants closing at 7, 8 and 9 pm) , so I recommend checking closing times when making your plans for the day. If you have kids, or even if you don't, I recommend Castel Grisch winery in Watkins Glen because it has dinosaurs. The owner is super nice and responded to emails/texts almost immediately. We had the best time.

The views from the deck are amazing and two days out of the week there were rainbows across the lake. It was a very relaxing visit and the towns people are friendly and helpful in pointing you in the right directions for your needs. Would absolutely recommend this rental to anyone that needs a getaway.

We rented the home for a family trip to celebrate my Mom's 70th birthday. The house did not disappoint! Plenty of room, quiet area with a beautiful view of the lake from the deck which was a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. Great price for the location and amount of space. Many great wineries nearby to enjoy. Would definently go back!
