'Lovely hotel. I was upgraded to a classic double and the yoom was gorgeous . Nice staff . Very helpful.
They were having an up grade and refurbishment whilst I was there but it didn't affect my stay .

'The property is a lovely place that has kept its unique original features. The Victorian facades and interior are refreshingly maintained. The staff are all very welcoming and genuinely friendly. Well located in a rural spot but 5 minutes walk into town, via the sea front promenade.'

'I had a really lovely stay. The hotel is peaceful, welcoming, really spacious and has very friendly and hospitable staff. Some of the furnishings are visibly old, but I don't mind that at all - personally, I find that much more environmentally-friendly. I had a beautiful view across the bay, and will definitely be returning to this hotel.'

'I put in the postcode but car sat nav directed me as far as the local pub only! After turning down a wrong lane past the pub in the pitch dark (9pm on an October evening) ascending up at a dead end I rang the owner who instructed me to carry on past the pub for another 2 miles!

'We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did.
Excellent Chinese takeaway.

'We really enjoyed our stay here. Didn't get to sleep til late as there was a private function but this isn't anybody's fault we were staying in a pub and expected noise. The room was lovely, very nice coffee! The staff were friendly and polite.
No real parking available but we managed to find a space fairly close by.
The kids loved the room and we would definitely stay again.'

The setting was perfect for our outdoor weekend: rapidly flowing river outside our window and lovely views into the valley.

'Only stayed one night. Lovely quiet setting. The whole place has character. Staff were great and friendly, very accommodating. Beautiful views from the restaurant and bar of the gardens. Room was nice, tidy and clean although a little warm for my liking. Will be back for another stay soon! '
