'It may be titled "humble beginnings," but the host treats you like a VIP guest and goes the extra mile to make you feel special! The house is lovely and has everything you could ask for in a rental. I made a note in my original email that we were staying for my birthday weekend, and Elle left us the cutest basket with all sort of goodies to make my weekend special! Would highly recommend!'

'My husband and I were exploring a number of birding hotspots in the quiet corner and decided to try the treehouse. We woke to the dawn bird chorus (without any ambient road noise). Just dreamy!'

'This is a cute, compact 1BR, 1 Bath cottage with great lake access with just a short walk. Good communication from the owner, easy access to Storrs and neighboring towns, and very clean. Loft area has limited space, but the main bedroom is quite comfortable. The only challenges were unrelated to the property (loud neighbors, disputes both nights) and sulfer smell in the water (easily fixed with a Brita pitcher)'

'Perfect location to see everything we planned in Rhode Island and Connecticut. Communication with Kelly was great, a slight issue with check in, but handled better than we would have expected. The snacks were great to have for our daily roadtrips, nice touch. Did not get a chance to use the spa or clubhouse, so busy enjoying the great outdoors. Would stay agin if ever in the area.'

'The property has character. It is charming, clean, and ideally located in a quiet neighborhood . We were able to get to Walmart and Big Y for some snacks and toiletries and to Mohegan Sun for dinner. It was stocked with the necessities and has plenty of space for everyone. We all had a great time. The host was very responsive to all my questions before and during our stay. We would stay there again.'

'We all loved the lake house!! The setting was serene and beautiful and only 20 minutes to UConn where my son is a student. The house was well equipped and even more spacious than we thought. We used the kayaks and my teen son fished off the dock. It was an absolutely perfect weekend and we did not want to leave! The hosts were quick to respond and wonderful to work with. We will be back! '

'Hosted a bachelorette trip at this property and it was fantastic. The kayaks and paddle boards provided plenty to do along with a firepit to sit around at night. The house was cozy with plenty of space to sleep 5. Had a great time! '

'We very much enjoyed our stay at this property! It is newly renovated and beautifully furnished. Our young children loved finding all of the “silly” frogs featured throughout the home, and we loved the historic maps of the area. The owners really thought of everything when stocking the kitchen, and added touches throughout to make your stay more comfortable. The dimming lights, USB outlets, and built-in bathroom Bluetooth speaker were very nice extras. The kids loved the yard, eating outside on...
