'Prachtige ligging aan de Sound met geweldig uitzicht en zonsondergang. Vriendelijke eigenaars die goede tips gaven voor restaurants en fietstochten. Fietsen en kano’s zijn gratis te gebruiken. De accomodatie heeft veel achterstallig onderhoud en is niet meer wat het ooit geweest lijkt te zijn. De inrichting was gedateerd met oude apparatuur oa tv. 'We had stayed here under the prior owners. I was disappointed to no longer have a gourmet breakfast, but Chris more than made up for this. He helped me navigate the push-button locks and got me a key fob for our room (just in case). He advised a few breakfast spots (both excellent) and provided us with a clean, comfortable room. We'll definitely stay with him again.'

'This is a lovely place to stay. The site itself is beautiful. The breakfasts were very tasty and filling. The owners are so knowledgeable about the area and its history. They helped us use our time there more effectively. I wholeheartedly recommend staying at The Aldrich House. We would return if we ever end up back in Williamsburg.'

'The suite we stayed in really needs updating. The shower did not match the luxurious description on the website. The carpet was in need of replacement. I literally found a large, dead roach right by the foot of the bed upon check-in -- how was this missed by housekeeping? The tvs and remotes were very difficult to navigate and internet slow. "This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
