'Valley View Motel is a great little "get away." It's rustic, it's clean, it's quiet. If you're looking for state of the art, top of line everything, this is not the place for you. But if you want a simple little cabin, friendly check in, not many people around and just a place to relax, read, write, or watch an old movie on a small TV, then it's a great place. I come here to unplug and I feel refreshed after a night or two and am a little sad when I leave.'

'Easy check in. Property owner was very responsive to my messages. She would follow up on our stay if we needed anything. Myself and my family love the house. Great for a family of eight with two floor separating each other. Would highly recommend and would rent again. Only thing downside may be just for my stay was that the house did not had AC during my stay and top floor was hot until early morning, but was provided with fans'

'Very cute a-frame in pleasant neighborhood, home is totally private as it is surrounded by beautiful trees and shrubs. Home is very clean and well organized, lots of amenities and I loved that there was no tv though the boys grumbled a little at first (they ended the trip saying it was nice to not have the tv)! Super quick drive to Maxwelton beach. Host is very attentive and kind. Would highly recommend this property if you’re staying on Whidby!'

'This is just what my sister and I were looking for. It was quiet, clean and peaceful. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying beauty of the outdoors. There are a few items that could be updated inside or repaired but it didn’t distract from our stay. The kitchen didn’t have any bowls to make a salad.'

'The house is on the smaller side as far as the living area. But very cozy and was fine for the two of us! I went with my mom we were visiting her brother who lives down the street. We really loved this home! I can’t think of anything to complain about! The door lock was confusing, it didn’t always work so I used the key from the key box. Other than that it was great!'

Washer and dryer with unscented laundry soap was a nice surprise, along with an airfryer. Appreciated those! Fireplace nice for cold rainy days was nice too. 2 full bathrooms was appreciated.'

'My spouse and I had a 2-night stay and we were very pleased with the hotel and our Junior Suite. We weren’t travelling with our dog, but loved how pet friendly the hotel is. The market across the road was very conveniently located and stayed open late. We loved walking around the neighbourhood and through the university campus. There are some great restaurants close by too. Our room was clean and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay.'

"Great fast WiFi. Was recently renovated, as it looked updated. Bed was too small for two occupants (smaller than queensize). Though breakfast is included, it's room is too small for the rush hours, so there was no place (and choice of items was a bit on the small side). If you are on your own, and just want a bed with a shower. A good place to stay."
