To be clear, the home and location were amazing!This one star rating is for the nightmare VACASA (the reservation management company) put us through at check-in! I booked through VRBO but Vacasa manages everything afterwards. They reimbursed us for the first night but nowhere near a fcompensated for the inconvenience, anxiety and additional money my 8 guests endured (spent) for those first 24 hours. We were table to check-in at 2pm into the home 1.5 hrs from airport, we all flew in from 4 different states. When we arrived we were told we cant check in bc there is no running water (a pump issue). In short Vacasa said , we will give you a refund and go find another place to stay. However, it was the middle of Summer tourist season and nothing available or comparable to what we needed and paid for months prior. Plus we were in a remote place at least an hour from the nearest city so we were stranded. We got a service rep to let us in the house until we figured out what to do. When we realized we had no options we chose to SQUAT for the night, but without running water, mind you. We spent 22 hrs roughing it until the water pump was repaired, by Vacasa around noon the next day. Their measly 25% discount was not equivalent to the cost for me and my guests. Please be aware is all I want to say. Vacasa is so far removed from the need to give quality customer service since they are not the company we rent from initially and wash their hands of any obligation to help the customer
