Good times in downtown Hartford! Will return!
I unfortunately confused this place with another Marriott that is aroung the corner (and many people do), but I'm super glad I stayed here. The location is great - near some wonderful restaurants, on a bus line, and pretty convenient for Lyft, although many times you might get picked up or dropped off across the street given the nature of the Hartford roads. I was NOT prepared for HOW MASSIVELY LARGE THE ROOM WAS! I was in 416, and it is literally the size of a decent lecture hall. Ceilings were super high, full kitchen, upstairs bed loft, dining room, office corner, living room ... really amazing! For such a big place, the bathroom was small, but not prohibitively small. In fact, it was nice to have a room that felt ... well ... normal sized! HAHAHA! At any rate, I highly recommend this place. I taught and attended events on Zoom and the internet was fine, I made use of the fridge and appliances in the kitchen, the grab-and-go breakfast could have more non-sugary options but it does the job, staff was great ... good times!

The other button was not working, so as far as what I did not like about the area. It did not really feel unsafe, but there were a lot of people asking for money. They would be standing outside businesses, in parking lots, etc. Just made for an uneasy feeling.

Roos are large with an industrai feel and industrial soundng heating system. When it comes on, it roars. No dining options when I was their on a Monday night. The attached brewery is closed Monday and Tuesday nights.

The staff and facility were clean. However, the facility is in need of a bit of a facelift, which could detract from getting better reviews. There was an effort to upgrade the lobby, but the upper floors, elevators, features, and lighting could use an upgrade.

Room was large and comfortable but it was a suite and did not come equipped with pillows and sheets for the extra bed. Even though parking costs $17 per day, guests still need to sign an extra waiver with respect to the safety of cars and belongings.

Air conditioning was a problem from day one. filter was changed, but the room never got cooled. It was a good thing we spent lots of time out of the room. We were offered a room change the last night but my wife was asleep because we had an early flight, so that did not work. For the 4 days we stayed at this property we did NOT receive maid service, we had to asked for clean towels. the floor needed to be vacuumed and much dusting was needed all so. We were very disappointed with this accommodation

We love the two story LOFT king rooms, so open and roomy and the high two story windows. Honestly these are some of my favorite hotel rooms ever. Totally modern in a historic downtown building.

Desperately needs an upgrade
Hotel is old, crusty and smelly. Very low quality for a Marriott brand. Most TVs werent working (on a Sunday night!!) as I was checking in, and I hear lots of complaints from guests calling downstairs. Staff was very friendly and as accommodating as they could be. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful and a nice touch. Otherwise, the hotel was brutal to stay in, even for one night. And parking costs extra!!! I hope to never stay here again.

Overall great stay. Large and spacious room. Lots of amenities that made the stay very comfortable. Convenient location for the train station and convention center. James at the front desk was especially helpful and polite. Would stay again.

They only thing is distracting from the property is the room service didn't show up all weekend to clean. It was like we had to beg for towels.
