'Prima accommodatie, en op oké afstand van Yosemite. Het is schoon, maar gedateerd. Personeel is aardig en alles is in orde. Alleen geen ventilatie mits je de luide airco constant aan laat staan. Ontbijt is zeer beperkt, maar wel inbegrepen.'

The breakfast is served at 9 am so you can't just grab it and go if you're there for sightseeing. But the food is wonderful! Interesting history behind the house which the host shares. 'Staff was phenomenal. Beds were soft and very comfortable. Heater worked well. Room was clean. Only downside because it is an older building the walls are fairly thin and you can hear louder cars and people out on the street. '

'in Sonora waarschijnlijk een van de beste, maar er is weinig keuze. Het is meer een motel dan een hotel, met deuren die naar een galerij open gaan. Er is geen lift (weliswaar maar 2 verdiepingen, maar toch). De kamer is best aardig met koelkast, magnetron en koffiemachientje. Badkamer netjes, behalve het douchegordijn waarop schimmel zat. Het ontbijt is in een nogal ongezellig zaaltje, maar gelukkig kun jij bij mooi weer buiten zitten (wat gek genoeg bijna niemand deed). Het ontbijt zelf is...

The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are charming, and the breakfast is one of the best of its kind: the owner bakes a range of delicious cakes each morning. If you plan on visiting Yosemite or the Sequoia trees in the Calaveras grove nearby, or, in fact, Sonora and Gold Country, the Gunn House is by far the best choice.'

'Zwembad was zeer vuil en bar, etc. Was gesloten... Kamer zeer netjes, ieder heeft eigen BBQ is zeer gezellig! Leuk verblijf maar duur!'
