Stel je eigen privé winkelcentrum voor met je vakantie in Outer Banks! Bij de Stowe Retreat is dat bijna waar. Stowe op 12 is een klein, luxe winkelplein. Winkels omvatten een klein eetcafe, salon, kunstgalerij en juwelier, evenals een kledingwinkel. Stowe Retreat is een uniek vakantieverblijf in het historische vissersdorp Hatteras. Het is een moderne, verfijnde 2 slaapkamers, 1 bad condominium met uitzicht op de oceaan die boven Stowe is om 12 uur.

Een open plattegrond met gewelfde plafonds biedt een luchtig, loftachtig gevoel naar het luxe appartement. Een verfijnde zwart-op-zwarte keuken is geaccentueerd door granieten aanrechtbladen en houten vloeren. Een donkere houten eettafel kijkt uit op de ramen en biedt plaats aan 4 personen. De intieme woonkamer biedt een doekbank, lederen liefdezitje en flatscreen-tv. Schuifdeuren openen voor een bochtige patio met uitzicht op het water. Er is voldoende ruimte voor een kleine familie met een kingsize bed en een stapelbed. De halbad biedt een stallendouche.

Profiteer van de privileges van het oceanfront zwembad bij de Sea Gull Motel aan de overkant van de straat. Een strandtoegang ligt net naast het zwembad voor gemakkelijke toegang tot het prachtige zand- en aquamarijnwater van het Hatterasstrand.

Good morning, The weather was excellent during our stay. But on our arrival date, 8 September 2023, we drove up & down Highway 12 for 2 hours trying to locate the property address sent to us along with the direction link. When we called the Kees phone ending in 1843, the man who answered got a lady in the phone and she was having a difficult time with the location as well but we got into the property 2.5 hours after direction link said we were there. Directions not detail specific. We asked if we could check out 2 hours later to get all our things together & they gave an hour pass 10:00. My parents were with me as well and both are in their 80s. I've had Cataract Surgeries. This is to say the lights on the two fights of stairs are not bright enough...or should have motion sensor for brightness. We tried to bake something in the oven & the oven started to generate alot of smoke.

The Stowe Retreat property was decorated with a modern vibe and solid amenities but yet also felt quaint and village-like, as the surrounding Hatteras Village area felt. Stowe Retreat was spacious, quiet, clean and felt very safe, which was important for me since I stayed there with my dog. You have a beautiful balcony view of the sweet little plaza below and the Atlantic front just beyond the rode. Your stay grants you access to the pool at the Motel across the street, as well. Unfortunately, the pool was closed during my time there but honestly I wasnt wanting pooltime as much as beach and exoloring time so this didnt hinder how much i enjoyed my stay at all! A very short drive from Cape Hatteras Lighthouse (if you turn left) and the free Ferry to go across to Ocracoke Island (if you turn right out of the plaza--I visited both areas and HIGHLY recommend doing so!!). Couldn't much ask for a better location if you want to experience the best of Hatteras Island. You are close to several shopping areas, cafes, restaurants, marinas, general stores/grocery areas, gas stations, a medical clinic, a car repair shop and peaceful places to walk and explore. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The KEES Vacations staff was very prompt in their communications with me, either via email, phone call or texts and offered excellent customer service and support!! Thank you so, so much for a very special vacation! Praise Jesus! ❤️

Ok location. The area is quite wonderful and beach access is close.

This rental is an apartment above a small strip mall with beach access a 5 minute walk across a road and through a motel. The apartment was clean, decent size kitchen, and a small balcony that looks out across the road and the dunes. You cannot see the ocean… no big deal. The problem we had with the rental is this - There are two bedrooms. One has a queen and the other has bunk beds. The one bathroom is next to the bedrooms. But there is no isolation between the bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen, etc. It was impossible to have any privacy. If anyone wants to go to bed early, they might as well be in the same room with everyone else. If you decide to role over in the middle of the night, everyone will hear it. You could drop a pin in one bedroom and here it in the other. It was exhausting to never be able to get any isolation from the rest of our party. In addition, all beds had the worst mattresses you could imagine. I need a vacation to recover from this vacation and can’t wait to sleep in a real bed with some privacy.

Beautiful property located close to the beach.

This is a great getaway property located in the town of Hatteras. We loved the open layout and how close it was to the beach. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to getaway.

Quick babymoon

My wife and I brought our dog to Hatteras for a quick babymoon get away. The condo was conveniently located across from beach access and we utilized the pool across the street every day. Shops and restaurants were also in convenient driving distance. The only shops open in that shopping center downstairs were a jewelry store and deli which closed at 5. The only issues we had were the patio door did not lock, there were a few lights burned out (overhead bedroom and shower lights) which made the bathroom area very dark, and the dishwasher was not braced to the counter. Wife also suggested perhaps having a mirror in the bedroom as well. Overall though, the property was quiet, comfortable, and very convenient to be able to have our small dog with us. Would definitely book again.

Loved the place. All he amenities one needs at the beach. And just a short walk and on the ocean! I did notice the dishwasher isn't bolted in correctly as someone else had noted. But it functioned perfectly! Nice to relax for the weekend! Thank you!

Great location, easy beach access across the street

Pros:This condo was built in 2005 so it's not too outdated. Nice granite tops and all the necessary appliances you'll need for your extended stay. Decent view of the ocean. No need for a key due to having an electronic coded lock. Cons: The smoke alarm needs a battery change. Beeped every 2 minutes. The doors seemed to not be aligned properly causing unnecessary effort to open and close. The doors to the washer/dryer were completely off track. The tv in the main bedroom needed two remotes to work it. The faucet in the kitchen needs to be fixed. The piece on the end where the water comes out wasn't there which made the water come out uninformed. Very confusing place to find as it is in the back of the building. The master bed was super soft. Some may like this but it killed my back so I ended up in the second room on the bunk bed which was a little stiffer. Other than sleeping on a bunk bed all of my complaints are minor and I would definitely recommend staying there. Well worth the money.

It wasn't the worst place I've stayed, but it wasn't the best.

There are not full walls separating the rooms so it is very hard to sleep when others are still awake. Also, the dishwasher was not bolted into the cabinets and thus kept falling out. Lastly, the beds were not comfortable. The location is great and having the pool access was a definite plus.
