The apartment is very clean and in a convenient location for sightseeing. The area is actually in the Habana Centro, not Vieja, so it is quite run down, although surprisedly clean. We like having access to a kitchen and laundry machines during our week there. We had problems checking in, as we did not get any communication from the host prior to arrival, no instructions to access the apartment. The neighbor had let us in the outside door and called Raul, the host, but we ended up sitting on the steps for about an hour until someone arrived to let us in. Raul arrived a while later to do the paperwork, it turned out they had to go to the airport to pickup someone. It would've been nice to have prior communication prior so we could have a smooth checkin process. And there's no wifi as advertised on Expedia. Everything else went well.

Sorry you had to wait. Raul went to the airport to pick up his daughter. We tried to communicate, asked you for an arrival time but there was not answers.We will work on better communication. Thank you for staying with us. Centro Habana, Habana Vieja and other adjacent cities are very old, and cuba is quiet run-down due to an economic embargo imposed by the USA, the building is from 1950. However everything is brand new in the apartment and the building it's far from run-down, hopefully in a near futureCuba can have better economy and we can fix our cities. Once again. Thank you for coming to Cuba.

Nice apartment close to the Capitol
Nice apartment near the capitol with many restaurants nearby. Street and buildings nearby is a bit run down, but it’s a safe neighborhood. The owners Marta and Raoul are fantastic host. We will go back again.

Martha y el esposo nos dieron toda la atencion que necesitamos y nos trataron como familia,el apartamento muy cuidado ,el barrio no luce tal ves muy acogedor pero realmente me senti muy seguro ,incluso mi carro rentado todo el tiempo se parqueo frente al edificio ,es la manera mas cercana a vivir la realidad de cuba ,gracias a Martha y gracias a todos los vecinos del edificio y de la cuadra.

Having booked only one night before arrival everything went smooth. Communication with the owner couple was excellent and we were helped with the return of our rental car. Apartment very clean and comfortable , definitely a place we would stay again. Reinhard with family
