Ruim, gezellig huis op het kustpad van Pembs, dicht bij St. Davids en stranden

Tirmynydd (voorheen bekend als Thimble End cottage) ligt in het prachtige hart van de oude Upper Solva, in het prachtige Pembrokeshire National Park, op slechts een minuut of zo van het beroemde prachtige kustpad van Pembrokeshire.

Tirmynydd is gebouwd in de late 1700 en heeft een overvloed aan historische kenmerken. Balkenplafond in de lounge / eetkamer, diepe ramen om in te zitten met een goed boek en een huiselijke stenen haard om rond te verzamelen na een dag wandelen op het kustpad of een dag op het strand! De goed uitgeruste keuken met alle moderne gemakken biedt alles wat u nodig hebt om te koken en dineren met familie en vrienden. Een zonnige, omheinde tuin is ideaal voor barbecues, spelen en ontspanning. Je bent van harte welkom om je honden mee te nemen en er is wifi, zoals je zou verwachten.

Er zijn talloze mooie paden om je naar de pittoreske haven van Solva te brengen, waar kinderen op het zand spelen als het tij is, terwijl anderen hun honden uitlaten. De uitzichten onderweg zijn adembenemend, vrij ongerept en verschillen van de ene op de andere dag. Ga zitten en kijk hoe de vissers binnenkomen met de dagelijkse vangst, families krabben van de kade of dwalen langs de kade naar de schilderachtige kleine winkeltjes en galerijen. Misschien stop je voor verfrissing in een van de verschillende pubs en bistro's in de buurt van de haven, of het briljante 'Café on the Quay' waar thee, koffie en het lekkerste Welsh-ijs worden geserveerd - zeker een bezoek waard! Als het gaat om dineren, kiest u ervoor om de auto te verlaten en te profiteren van de uitstekende plekken om te eten op loopafstand van Tirmynydd, waar verse vangst van de dag wordt geserveerd, of ga een beetje verder weg naar St. Davids of Porthgain voor alles van afternoon tea tot fijne keuken.

Of het nu gaat om adrenaline-inducerende watersporten, boottochten naar offshore-eilanden, of coasteering die u zoekt, of stranden, een beetje ontspannen toerisme, uit eten gaan of gewoon ontspannen in de beschutte tuin onder de pergola, Tirmynydd biedt een comfortabele, rustige uitvalsbasis van waaruit verken het prachtige Pembrokeshire, ongeacht het seizoen.

Family holiday

This was a lovely cottage, very well equipped and spacious. It was very clean and everything that you could want for a family holiday. It had a pretty garden and plenty of room to park two cars. The instructions for the key were straightforward. We would definitely recommend it.

Character and value for money.

We stayed for two weeks and very much enjoyed our time. House is full of character and charm, clean and in walking distance of Solva village and coastal path. Comfortable beds, spacious and fulfilling every need. I thought it was also very reasonably priced. Great for a family.

Lovely property

After a long, tiring journey from Germany, we found a little paradise. We felt at home from the first moment. Georgia's cottage is lovingly designed, offered enough space for us and we especially enjoyed the beautiful garden. The facilities are perfect, there is everything you need to feel at home. Communication with Georgia was friendly and quick, and details about check-in were provided clearly and early. Thank you so much for letting us spend our holidays here. We hope we can come back again sometime.

Excellent property and location, very well equipped. Only disappointment was the garden was not secure enough to let our dog run free. Gaps in the roadside hedge and the gates too low. Real shame as we would look to return if not for this. However this did not spoil our stay.

Solva really nice and pubs , restaurants and shops etc all walkable from house . Stunning walks from the doorstep . The only negative thing I would say is the garden . Not what I would consider secure for a dog . My pup was fine but if he had wanted to could have easily escaped . Other than that great

Comfortable, well-organised cottage in lovely location

My parents and I stayed here with our dogs and all had a wonderful time! The cottage is spacious and very well-equipped and the charming garden was a lovely place to relax. The house is well-situated in Upper Solva, and one can walk to the coastal path and gorgeous views within minutes, or down to the harbour and Lower Solva within about 10. We had everything we needed and felt the warmth of hospitality and welcome (dogs included) in the way things were laid out and house instructions shared. Didn't want to leave!

Brilliant stay- incredible location

We had a lovely week staying in Solva - and walking 2mins down to the harbour along the footpath for a swim and a coffee each morning. Great walks right on the doorstep and loads to do nearby. House was very well equipped and had a beautiful garden.

Excellent house for Family Holiday in Magical Solva

The property is ideal for families, all bedrooms are spacious and spread out over the house, parents and children were able to sleep in rooms next to each away from rest of family. Ideal secure garden for young children and dog. Kitchen and utility well equipped for all needs. Excellent Wifi. Large table for eating together, both inside and outside. Beds and bedding are very comfortable. Can't fault a thing. Had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend this house.

The only criticism we have Is of the bathrooms. They were poor. Only 1 very very inadequate shower. Maybe the owners are planning to update the bathrooms? I wouldn’t stay here again until they are improved. Everything else was very good.

Fabulous!

We had an amazing holiday in this house. The host Georgie was helpful and communicative from the start. The house immaculate the best equipped I’ve ever stayed at. The position is idyllic. We were able to walk to the harbour without putting the dogs on leads or going on a road. Once there the kids could swim or crab at high tide, or we could walk the beach, explore the rocks and swim at low tide. If you don’t fancy getting back in the car you don’t have to - Solva is lovely. That said St David’s is also gorgeous and our best discovery was Druin Haven beach. Perfect for kids and adults who don’t like crowded areas. Dogs welcome too. Overall we could not have been happier with the house. It was a home from home and very comfortable for us (3 adults, 3 kids and 2 dogs). I hope to go back.

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was very comfortable and well equipped. It had a cosy feel to it whilst also being spacious. The garden was lovely, very private and peaceful and the location is perfect for the coast path, Solva itself, St David's and the beautiful beaches nearby.

Perfect location and property for our family holiday. The property was spacious and well equipped. Lovely enclosed back garden, great for a barbecue. Situated in a beautiful part of Wales, close to the coast path and village of Solva. We’d happily stay here again.

A perfect cosy home - tastefully decorated and containing everything you need

The cottage is located at the top of a beautiful village on the Pembrokeshire coast. The area and the cottage itself are delightful. There is a wide range of activities locally and a superb range of restaurants and pubs near by. That said, we often stayed in and cooked as the local shop and cottage have everything you need for a delightful supper. We hope to find time to return again soon!
