'Hotel was in good location in Hilo. From other reviews, they state this is the nicest hotel in Hilo. I would agree with that assessment, though the property could use a refresher. The area this hotel is located in is a bit rundown, homeless in the area. The hotel next door is shuttered which gave the area an abandoned feel. But I am not sure if there are any better areas in Hilo since it is a smaller town/city. Some food options in walking distance but I would recommend driving into town...

'We had a glitch with the lock but the owner was quick to respond to my phone call to give us the combo for the manual key, which I appreciated very much. The second bed was very small, the removable shower head line was leaking badly. The stove top and oven were dirty and the fan was also dirty. There was no complimentary coffee. '

'What a great apartment. Everything was up excellent standards. Many extras like phone charging stations, smart TV with many choices, free wifi, well stocked kitchen, a balcony with a hammock just to name a few. The neighborhood was quiet. Thank you for letting us stay. '

'This place is such a beautiful oasis. So quiet and peaceful. The grounds are beautiful to walk around (bee hives, flowers, mini garden, some animals) and there is a gorgeous view of the water. It's easy to get to town and Jacklynn is a wonderful host. We also had amazing massages with a wonderful therapist named Christine at the massage shala. Highly recommend! '
