MASTHOPE LOGBOEK 7 slaapplaatsen

GEEN VERZOEKEN VOOR NIET-VERBONDEN PARTIJEN jonger dan 30 jaar.

Leuk als een blokhut met knoppen in Masthope Mountain Community met een grote stenen open haard voor gezellige winterweekends. Ga de hele dag skiën, sneeuwschoenwandelen of langlaufen, kom thuis en geniet van een lekker vuur en een kop warme chocolademelk. Ons huis heeft 3 slaapkamers en een zolder. Twee slaapkamers hebben koninginnen en het hok heeft twee tweelingen - ideaal voor kinderen plus 3e slaapkamer heeft een tweeling. Twee complete badkamers en een keuken in kombuisstijl rond dit gezellige huisje. De woonkamer heeft comfortabele banken en een flatscreen-tv. Er is een overdekte veranda om te ontspannen en een vuurplaats terug voor het roosteren van marshmallows. De Masthope Mountain Community heeft toegang tot de Big Bear Ski-berg, een buitenzwembad, paardenstallen, een fitnesscentrum, een meer, strand, clubhuis en nog veel meer.
Met uw huur ontvangt u 7 gratis gastenpassen voor gebruik van alle gemeenschappelijke voorzieningen. In de winter ontvangt u 25% korting op een skiliftticket.
Voor Spring Renters:
Ja, je hebt een visvergunning nodig. Het buitenzwembad is niet open tot Memorial Day en dan is het alleen open in het weekend totdat ze fulltime gaan, meestal rond de 3e week van juni. Het meer zal toegankelijk zijn, maar zonder strandwachten of bootverhuur ook totdat ze ergens in juni fulltime gaan. Je kunt dus vanaf de kustlijn op het meer vissen. Het paardrijden / stallen en kinderboerderij zullen open zijn, maar het is altijd het beste om vooruit te bellen, omdat het weer een grote rol speelt in wat open is en niet. De wandelpaden zijn altijd open, het rivierfront is beschikbaar en de speeltuinen / ballenvelden / velden zijn altijd open.

Second stay

Enjoyed the first time around so we came back. Easy check in. Everything was there as needed. Upgrades were also done since last time rented. Nice new bathroom. Watched deer from the front porch while eating dinner. If your looking for quiet and cozy this is a great place.

The property was as expected - rustic, cozy home. The only issue is that the heat was not on when we arrived and the house took almost 24 hours to heat up as it was a very cold weekend. Other than the heat, we enjoyed our weekend.

Girls weekend

The five of us needed a weekend away after incredibly stressful months. This cabin was perfect for our getaway. It was cozy, comfy, and all around delightful. Loved having coffee on the porch and enjoying a fire while we ate dinner.

The cabin was more than what we needed for just the two of us, but could definitely accommodate a family. It was rustic and relaxing, very comfortable. We would consider renting this again when traveling with friends.

Great little getaway

Had a great time at this cabin. My kids were outside the whole time catching newts, salamanders and different bugs. Also the beach, lake and pool did not disappoint. We will definitely book again!

Cozy Cottage in the Woods

The cottage was very clean and comfortable, and we loved having meals on the porch, playing games inside, watching the deer who came right up near the cottage and swimming at the lake beach area and the two lovely pools in the community. As other renters mentioned - there is no WiFi- we borrowed a library hotspot which we used sparingly, but it was a good opportunity for everyone to unplug. The community itself offers a lot of amenities, but we had some trouble in trying to use them. We really wanted to go horseback riding, but they only took reservations on Sundays for the following week and were closed Mon-Wed. We didn’t receive this info early enough to reserve during the days we were staying. Paddleboards were also broken during our stay. Clear communication from the community was an issue. When trying to leave our trash at the designated place on the day we left, they told us (rather rudely) that it would be a $10 charge to open it, since it wasn’t open that day, even though their written information said you just had to request that they call maintenance to open it - nothing about a charge. Plan to ask detailed questions when you arrive about if/when things are open in the community, because they seem to change things without notice and don’t go out of the way to be accommodating. One more thing to know - it’s a large community, so you’ll need to drive to access the lake and pools from the cottage. The cross country ski trails are in walking distance.

July vacation in the Poconos

My family and enjoyed our time here. The cabin was clean and the perfect size for the seven of us with plenty of room inside and outside. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, dishes, flatware, glasses, etc., so bring your own food and you should be able to cook just about anything you want. The location was peaceful, especially during the week, and if you enjoy seeing deer, you will love this place. The community also provides plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. The host did such an excellent job of preparing and stocking the cabin that all we had to worry about was enjoying our vacation. I would absolutely stay here again.

Poconos getaway

We needed a change of pace for the 5 and 7 year olds in this year of Covid. This cabin in a wooded neighbourhood, with deer and chipmunks was perfect. We did family walks and visited the pool and lake, played mini-golf and enjoyed the firepit at night.

Pros and cons

Pros: great property with a great community and access to its own private lake. The lake has a beach area with life guards for swimming. Free paddle boarding and others. Great area for fishing. Another area is the pool with a splash pad for the kids and a restaurant on site. The market attached to the community gets you basics. House was very clean and well stocked. Cons: this property has no AC. Huge disappointment when we discovered after book a vacation in July. Not near lake walinpaulpack at all. 30 mins away. We very much enjoyed our stay and would look for a house in the same community.

The property was great. Very well kept and clean. Had a great time while staying there.The one small hiccup with the gas grill was addressed promptly by Cindy. Weekend Getaway

We had such an amazing, relaxing time! From fishing to the deer to seeing a bear walk across the road, we couldn't have asked for anything more! The cabin is much larger then it looks from the outside. Very clean and organized. We can't wait to go back!

Great cabin for a getaway

The cabin was perfect for our weekend away. Rustic features with modern comforts, shows even better in person. Clean, comfortable and everything you need in the kitchen. Fire pit was great and no need to bring camp chairs as there's plenty of seating. Research firewood locations in advance, not many places to purchase without spending $10/6pc bundle. Will definitely stay again.

Our stay at Masthope

Overall, it was fantastic! Nice interior and perfect fit for 2 families with kids or 3 young couples. Town has everything - sports facilities, lake and sand beach etc. Only downside was its proximity to major stores. The close one is Weis Market and it is about 30mins driving from the place.

Extremely quiet

Very nice cabin. Needs a kitchen size trash can, but worked around that. The queen size bedrooms are tight. Very nice community and very quiet.
