Mountain Retreat is an upscale 4 bedroom (3 king beds and 2 double beds) 3 bath true log home with majestic mountain views, privacy, loads of outdoor entertaining space, hot tub and so much more. Get away to the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina and enjoy life in the mountains.
Hot Tub is drained and cleaned after every reservation check out.
This Beautiful Log Cabin features two master suites on the main level and two bedrooms on the lower level. Two wood burning fireplaces, full kitchen, laundry, Internet, and a nice sunken hot tub in the lower level deck. Great Mountain Cabin with lots of room for the whole family. Large enough for two families to enjoy.
This cabin has loads of privacy. Enjoy the beauty of the North Carolina Mountains from this spacious Log Cabin located near Hayesville, Mountain Harbour Golf Course, Eagle Fork Vineyards and Lake Chatuge.
Located just a couple of miles from Mountain Harbor Golf Course and the vineyards. Spend a week in the mountains and Enjoy the Golf, check out the winery, rent a boat from one of the many boat rental companies in the area to soak in the beauty of the lake and the mountain backdrop. Go horseback riding, hiking, fishing, and so many more activities to choose from.
Downtown Hayesville, North Carolina and Hiawassee, GA are just a short drive from the cabin. Great shopping and restaurants to enjoy in the area.
Did I mention Two master suites on the main floor, fireplace and Wrap Around Deck with awesome Mountain Views. The Terrace level features a great room with fireplace, wet bar, game table, two bedrooms, full bath and porches and decks galore. Don't forget about the hot tub for great relaxation after a fun day in the mountains.

Great Weekend Getaway
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home was large enough for our family and little ones. It was a nice break from the every day, very peaceful. We would definitely stay again.

Wonderful week
We had a fantastic week at our cabin! So much space! And the owners have lots of “extras” to make you feel at home. Whenever we needed help, we were able to reach someone pretty quickly. We did have some miscommunication at check in and had difficulty reaching someone, but after that everything was great!

Just Okay
The cabin was okay - floors and plates and all surfaces in general were sticky and dirty. The tile showers might be difficult to clean, but still were grimy. The house was more of a cabin in the woods. No mountain views - all potential views were blocked by tree’s. You can always tell when somewhere is well taken care of it versus just used for a rental - just used as a rental was definitely the case. It was evident that when the property was purchased in 2021, there was nothing done, as there was food in the panty dated back to a 2020 expiration, a checkout book from the previous owners, the VRBO listing photos are the exact same from the listing from when the cabin was bought, so this made it’s evident all furniture and everything else was the same. Any other time, who cares, but walking into a dirty/sticky cabin, it was evident this was just a turn key rental with no care taken into cleanliness. Upon booking I had messaged the owner to inform me of any pet fee’s and received no response back, so we were making the 5 hour drive just hoping our dog was within the limits. Overall if you just want a secluded cabin with a hot tub, this is it. Otherwise, I would look elsewhere.

Enjoyed our stay! Cabin was very spacious and nice. Location of the cabin is within an hour of a lot of places. I would definitely recommend this cabin.

Unresponsive
Owner was unresponsive during our visit. Texted and called the number listed with no response. Also sent message through VRBO with no response. Had issue with HVAC and hot tub but went unresolved. The place is not as clean and well kept as it used to be. No handsoap and towels are old and worn.

Great Views! Beware of Cold Temps Though 🥶
The house is fantastic overall! The views are amazing but i will warn you, if you do not have 4WD or at least AWD, getting to the house will be tough for inexperienced drivers. The hills to the home are very steep! Put it in low and take your time. If you're staying during the winter/cold months, know that the roads will freeze/snow at times and with steep hills you may be stuck in the house for a bit. Also, we experienced rolling blackouts due to the cold weather (-1 at times) which resulted in the house getting EXTREMELY cold (heat pump couldn't keep up) and the doors/windows are not insulated well which resulted in a lot of drafty areas which didn't help our situation either. Luckily we had A LOT of wood provided (thank you!), warm clothes, and we tried to use the wood fireplaces as best we could to keep warm but just know that if you're there during cold days it may happen where you'll need to tend to a fire most of the day. Suggestion to the owners: please fix all drafts at doors/windows (they are very noticeable!) and always make sure there is plenty of wood in case of electrical blackouts (thank you for the wood we had during our stay!) and another large outdoor trash can would be useful too. Other than those things, the house is an absolute great place to stay. The hot tub took a bit of time to get hot but once it did, we enjoyed it the whole stay and the views from there are spectacular. We would definitely stay again, just not during the colder months!
