The staff were fantastic very friendly, polite and extremely helpful. The room was perfect with a great view of the harbour. The whole hotel was neat and tidy with everything you would need for a great stay. The restaurant has a sea view and the food was perfect. The breakfast is a must a full help yourself buffet with everything you could possibly want and more! Also the hotel has a large car park. I highly recommend this place!

Perfect stay. Thank you. Unfortunately the carpet had some significant staining that should be steam cleaned. Also bottom of bath could do with cleaning to remove grubby marks where people stand to have shower. Accomodation very good tho.

The location was very good unfortunately the weather was a bit of a wash out. The food was excellent as we're all staff. The room was okay but could do with a bit of TLC as in a of decorating over all it was a good stay.

firstly check-in was seamless, room was lovely and first impressions is they keep everything in working order and clean - dyson fan so quiet that also heats room - would always ask for more towels if more than one guest staying but easy to do by calling ‘0’ from the internal phone - pool was lovely shared with other guests and lockers too - breakfast was better than others with plenty of options - plenty of car parking

Overall was alright, service was very friendly but slow. Bed were a little uncomfortable notnsire what it was but just off. We had 2 rooms 1 was fine one however was freezing amd not hotwater took a good 5 minutes to get luke warm. Radiators not working and a dyson fan heater tickled the room. Otherwise great hotel location and good on the eye, facilities good amd handy

Great location, new looking room with good facilities. Breakfast was good quality. Cost was good. Only negative was the busy afternoon in the spa / pool and the pool condition needed some TLC.

The bedroom and corridor was in a bad state, carpets were torn and dirty. In the room, there were large brown stains on the carpets, Radiators turned off in the building with fan heater in the bedroom, window when closed had a massive gap, bathroom had mould and thick layers of dust, safe was broken. Breakfast was reasonable, lunch was good but expensive (£41 for 2 sandwiches and tea) Dinner was shocking, chicken tikka only had 3 pieces of chicken and was out of a packet and again £42 for one meal and 2 drinks. When complained to reception was told yes we know it needs to be refurbished. Disgraceful! The spa though was clean and warm. Wouldn't recommend.

New Year’s Eve
Hotel was busy as it was New Year’s Eve, but they ran out of hot water early into the evening so none of the guests could shower ready for the evening. Hotel is dated and in need of modernising. Food in the restaurant was excellent and the service was great.

Terrible experience
It was HELL to be mild, to even warm up our xmas dinner that we had to drive back to Portsmouth Central to warm up our food because whoever that was attending to us just left us and went on attending to other WHITE guests. On boxing day when we went yo swim and sauna, our cards were deactivated, which prevented us from entrying our room as we we left cold in the hallway till i had to get a maid to eventually let us in

I personally didnt enjoy my stay much. I didnt find the bed comfortable and didnt like the breakfast at all, a huge factor for me was the water in the room for bath/shower was tepid cool. The pool facility was lovely though, lovely clean pool and steam room. slightly hotter showers, but not by much. Staff were nice

The hotel looked great from the outside, ruin down inside in places like the carpet was frade, chipped paintwork, some other guests where rude swearing shouting and fighting between themselfs that upset loads of other dinners and it was meant to be a romantic last night meal, the restaurant had run out of most items on the menu very selected choice, drinks were a bit expensive, room was nice bed was comfortable,

The entrance spiral staircase and huge windows make an engaging entrance to Langstone Quays..... The piles of broken furniture, discarded mattresses and bedding and all sorts of other items around the building are unsightly to say the least and have clearly been there a long, long time ! The Reception area is lovely - the room I felt was "tired, dull, stains on carpet, carpet tiles stuck on top of carpet around the bed, what is that about? And the bathroom has mould in some areas. Don't get me wrong - we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.....but investment is needed to bring some areas up to the excellent standard of the communal areas; dining, lounges, bar etc.

Rainy stay in Hayling island
We had a couple of days at the Langstone to celebrate my husband birthday. On arrival we were given a room on the second floor. I asked if there was a lift, as i need a knee replacment and stairs are very difficult, there wasnt but the receptionist immediately changed our room to downstairs. I was very grateful. The room we were allocated is tired and very beige. It certainly needs updating. However. It was clean. Sadly the shower facilities were beyond my capability as it was a shower over the bath. It was reception staff to the rescue again. Thank you Jess B for appointing us a room with a walk in shower. Again i was very grateful. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night. It was superb, the service was also excellent. I did not go to breakfast but my husband reports that there is a reasonable selection of cereals and hot food etc. It is self service with addition of being able to order speciality breakfast dishes. It is obvious that some rooms have been completely refurbished while other remain old fashioned abd in need of some TLC. Overall a very comfortable stay and woukd not hesitate to rebook.

Room was a nice size with very good shower and hairdryer. Breakfast staff very helpful and buffet breakfast was well spaced. Good coffee. On the downside, plates for hot breakfast were cold. Twice we waited at the bar to be acknowledged and served and twice we gave up. Luckily there’s a lovely Fullers pub, The Ship Inn, next door where the staff could not have been more welcoming. Overall our stay was enjoyable and we would give it another go.

This is the 3rd time of staying. First 2 times room was excellent. Bit disappointing this 3rd stay. Kettle not working but was replaced after requested. Cups were dirty with previous tea stains. Adjustable shower head was broken so had to use cascade shower which was not brilliant. Quite a few holes blocked with limescale. Bed is usually very comfortable but found pillows were small and not adequate this time. A few little things but disappointing after two previous stays. Breakfast as always was good. Hotel was very busy but room always quiet. Staff always friendly but always rushed off their feet. Could always do with more staff on reception. We paid more for our stay this time and considering the little problems with the room was disappointing. The Tv was working this third stay which was a plus!
