Welkom bij Loon Lane (de privérit langs Harnden Road), het perfecte thuis weg van huis!

Al meer dan 25 jaar hebben we de zegen gekregen om te zien hoe onze kinderen en kleinkinderen opgroeien in dit Northwoods Lake House. Hayward, Wisconsin is een van de beste plekken ter wereld, en we hebben ervan genoten om er het beste van te maken!

De accommodaties zijn als volgt:

Dit huis ligt op 2 hectare. Op de top van de heuvel is er een uitgebreide oprijlaan met voldoende ruimte om 2 boten, een R / V of extra auto's op te slaan. De woning is gelegen aan de baai van Richardson aan het prachtige Big Round Lake.

Round Lake is een 3054 hectare groot meer met 19 mijl van de kustlijn en vele diepe baaien. Dit spectaculaire meer biedt een zandbodem en kustlijn en is geweldig om te zwemmen, vissen, varen, kajakken en kanoën. Er zijn twee dokken in het huis die dagen vol zonnebaden en vissen mogelijk maken. Als u uw eigen boot wilt meenemen, is het tweede dok voor uw gebruik. Er is een handige lanceerplaats in Round Lake Marina aan onze baai. Daarnaast wilt u misschien onze 20ft pontonboot huren. Het huis beschikt ook over een groot terras aan het meer met een prachtig uitzicht op de baai en heeft een gasgrill voor uw gebruik.

Hayward, Wisconsin - op slechts 10 minuten rijden van het huis - biedt vele geweldige badplaatsactiviteiten. De National Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame bevindt zich in Hayward. Het bevat een glasvezel muskus van 143 voet - een leuk bezoek voor alle leeftijden. Toeristen kunnen omhoog klimmen in de mond van de vis en uitkijken over de stad, evenals Lake Hayward.

Het centrum van Hayward trekt drukte naar Tremblay's Sweet Shop, beroemd om zijn zelfgemaakte fudges, truffels en gastronomische chocolaatjes. Main Street biedt vele andere winkels, een gerenommeerde bakkerij en restaurants. Er is ook een wijnmakerij en een brouwjongen om van te genieten. Een andere familie-favoriet in de buurt van het centrum is de Wilderness Walk. Dit openlucht natuurcentrum is perfect voor zowel volwassenen als kinderen. Er zijn veel paden bezaaid met dieren in het wild, en de kinderboerderij helpt kinderen te informeren over wilde dieren en de rehabilitatie van dieren in het centrum.

Hayward is een populaire visbestemming gebleven vanwege de vele nabijgelegen natuurlijke meren en rivieren. Het gebied staat bekend om zijn trofee-achtige "muskies", snoek, snoekbaarzen en smallmouth bas.

Naast vissen is Hayward ook een hotspot voor het jagen op herten, golfen, kanoën, kajakken, varen, paardrijden en weg- en mountainbiken. Naarmate de seizoenen veranderen, worden lef, skiën en langlaufen populaire buitenactiviteiten. Sawyer County en het omliggende gebied staan bekend om enkele van de beste sneeuwscooterroutes in het land, meer dan 600 mijl geprepareerde paden!

Beautiful Round Lake

This is my family’s third time staying at this cabin-the layout is perfect for family members young and old! This year we stayed 2 weeks & really enjoyed the flat lakeside yard with beautiful views of Richardson’s Bay. Bay features a great restaurant you can boat to-which we did! (We rented the pontoon with the cabin also). It was the 4th of July while we were there-fireworks and boat parade right in the bay!

Awesome Spot!

This was our second time staying at this beautiful lake home & we had such a wonderful stay both times! The layout of the home is perfect to give everyone space or be all together. The flat front yard gives a nice place to play yard games & allows for easy access to the dock for young and old! The property owner is very responsive & friendly.We’re excited to return next year! Great Week on Round Lake

Another great week at Round Lake

This is our second year staying at this wonderful house and have already booked for 2023. It is perfect for our family needs. Plenty of space and sleeping arrangements. Clean and comfortable. Also very quiet and private. Access to the sandy shore with almost lake level elevation was perfect for my 2.5 year old grand daughter. I have been coming to Round Lake since 1954 as we owned property and a house until 2015. I always return due to my love of the lake and its crystal clear waters. The owner, Jackie, is very responsive to anything that may need attention.

Perfect in Every Way

The property was ideal for the group of 6 adults and 3 children. The house is conveniently arranged with three bedrooms for the 6 adults, separate room with pullout for the 16 year old, and separate sleeping area for the two 12 year olds. Kitchen is well stocked and everything worked.. Great dock and sandy swimming area. The bay was ideal for water activities. Large seating area on the back deck. The hot tub was a special treat. The property was clean, well maintained, and wooded. July 4 fireworks from the dock—convenient and spectacular. Plan to return.

Peaceful and Beautiful

This property was everything we could ever wish for. We are so grateful the home owners share their beautiful home with us. Beautiful north woods is so serene and peaceful. The home itself has huge windows to enjoy the view of the lake. On an amazing lake, close to ATV trails, restaurants and shops. It was so relaxing and very secluded. It was exactly what we were looking for. The home owner was quick to respond to any questions I had. My only regret was leaving. I would highly recommend if you love the north woods.

Not so much!

I wasn't going to leave a review but my husband encouraged me to. If I had read what we encountered, I probably wouldn't have booked this property. First of all, the photo of the cabin and what you see when you arrive have changed drastically. Lots of "stuff" in the lakeside yard. Shoreline and sandy beach are awesome - but old docks/pontoons change the feel. Tree/brush trimming needs to happen to curb the overgrowth. Dock is nice - we spent many mornings watching beautiful sunrises. Now to the inside...the first impression that hit us is the strong scent of urine in the carpeted family room/dining room area. We had to keep windows/doors open to mitigate the odor. The biggest and newer carpeted TV room don't smell. We would sit in the newer carpeted area to watch TV. The kitchen has everything but a blender. WIFI is strong. Bathrooms are average. Our biggest complaint regarding our stay at this property is the pontoon boat. The boat rental is an extra $500.00 over the cost of the cabin. We opted to rent their pontoon and paid the extra fee. The motor runs fine but, the carpet is filthy and appears to never have been washed. But worst of all - the table was removed and what was left is a jagged silver hole that looks directly into the water below. It is a hazard for dogs and small children to have their feet/foot fall through. I highly recommend you do not rent the pontoon. We love the Hayward area and hava boate stayed other places that include a boat with cabin. We will not be staying here again - waaayyy too expensive for what you get.

Great spot on a beautiful lake!

This lake home, while in need of a bit of repair here & there, provided a beautiful site for a relaxing week on Round Lake. There was plenty of room for everyone, the house has a nice layout. Most appreciated was the lovely 3 season porch & immaculate hot tub on the private front deck. We did rent the pontoon as well, best way to enjoy all the lake has to offer. The kayak & canoe were fun…and the beach out front was beautiful sand with crystal clear water-great place to swim right out front! The house was stocked with pretty much all you need!! Would definitely stay here again-the whole family loved it!

Wonderful week on Richardson Bay

We had a great family get-together. The host is very prompt with communication and helpful. The house was perfect: number of beds, bathrooms, laundry room. Kitchen was fully equipped. We were very comfortable. The dock was perfect for lounging, jumping off, and fishing. So nice that there was a second dock for our boat. Also great that pets are allowed. We did not use the hot tub but it’s available and clean. Bring your boat and food - everything else is there even wi-fi and satellite TV. We made our next year reservation already!

Excellent Vacation Spot

The cabin was perfect for our family and we absolutely enjoyed our stay! This is a great location on Round Lake and we really liked the level access to the water. The property owner was also super to work with and answered any questions I had quickly!

Everything we were looking for!

This was our first time on Round Lake, and we selected this property for the location on Richardson Bay, and it was pet friendly. There was plenty of space for our two families...two "hangout" spaces - the living room and the sun room. The kitchen was nicely organized with newer appliances. Everything was in working order, clean and ready for use. The outdoor deck provided a relaxing view of the lake as well as extra seating during dinner. We all swam off the dock where it was sandy and not rocky...the water was clear and deep! We also caught fish off the dock! The setting was serene...we loved to SUP in the mornings around the bay. And it was the first time my son heard the sound of a loon - a family swam near our dock almost every morning. There is a restaurant on the bay that has a great view of the sunset, and the marina is also on the same bay. We will definitely be booking another vacation next year!

Overpriced, but we enjoyed our stay

Nice cabin, but should be half the price per night. The best aspect of the rental was the responsiveness of the owner. Amenities were nice for their time, but everything from the beds, to the towels, to the kitchen appliances are 10 years past their useful lives for a property at this price point. You need to get detailed directions before arriving (which we didn’t have) because the street sign and address sign were both missing and the app maps didn’t get you to the proper cabin. We arrived at night and had to go door to door until we found the right cabin, which isn’t especially comfortable. We stayed in the winter and the driveway was plowed but ice covered when we got there, which was very dangerous. The owner did get it sanded after we slid down the drive backwards in our AWD SUV, but it should have been salted or sanded when it was plowed. At the least there should have been salt/sant available for us to put down. We had to clean the toilet bowls when we arrived too; a minor inconvenience but not something that should be necessary at this price point. Regardless, we had a nice stay and the owner did their best to rectify these issues as they came up. All in all this would be a 4 star review if the cost was 1/2 its current rate.
