Seneca Wine Trail Chalet -

Onlangs uitgebreid vakantie chalet en gerenoveerde keuken in het midden van de Seneca Lake Wine Trail met uitzicht op het meer in een bosrijke omgeving. Gelegen in Hector, NY, slechts acht mijl ten noorden van Watkins Glen, aan de oostkant van Seneca Lake. Deze vijf slaapkamers, drie bad hele jaar door thuis slaapt 10 - 12 en is voorzien van houten vloeren, grote kamer met open haard, en 700 + sq ft dek met prachtig uitzicht op het meer en zonsondergang... De woonruimte, zijn twee slaapkamers en twee badkamers gunstig gelegen op de begane grond. Boven bestaat uit een grote slaapkamer / speelkamer en een zittende loft met een spectaculair uitzicht op het meer en kijkt uit over de grote zaal. Staking begane grond heeft twee slaapkamers, een complete badkamer en rec kamer.
Toegang tot het strand korte wandeling heuvel. Na een dag een bezoek aan de 11 wijngaarden binnen een paar mijl, of wandelen in Watkins Glen of de Finger Lakes National Forest, te ontsnappen aan deze rustige plek om te genieten van een glas van New York wijn op het dek, een boek lezen of een bezoek met vrienden.

Host was a wonderful communicator, made sure our check in and check out was smooth and easy. House is beautiful, very clean and plenty of room. There were ten of us. We didn't spend much time outside as it was too cold but the deck with a view is wonderful!Parking is a little tricky if you have more than two cars, just fyi. Water had a sulfur smell at first but after running it between cooking and showers it was fine. Would definitely recommend it to others!

Excellent Location

We had our family get together at this beautiful Chalet. 6 adults and 2 children. There was an unusual heat wave during our stay so we didn’t spend much time at the pickleball court but is was nice. The A/C worked fine and kept us cool. The huge upper deck was great for sitting outdoors when it cooled down. We found a hidden gem close to the property called “Here” which serves breakfast and lunch Fri- Mon. The only thing I want to mention is the small parking area at the bottom of a narrow driveway. We had 3 cars so we ended up having to either back in or back out when parking at the bottom. Also the private beach is not adjacent to the property but that was not a problem for us since it was simply too hot to use. We had a great time at this clean and well stocked property.

This chalet was the ideal base for our bachelorette weekend in Hector's Wine Country. The property was precisely as advertised, and we found everything to be in perfect order. Paul was great with communication leading up to our stay, and fortunately, we didn't need to reach out during our trip. The self check-in was particularly convenient, especially with multiple people arriving at different times. We loved the stunning views of Seneca Lake from the property and only wish we could have extended our stay beyond the weekend.

While the house is accurate according to the listing, what is not visible is the sewer smell being covered up with household cleaning products (smell possibly emanating from the septic tanks). In addition there were an excessive amount of gnat like fruit flies, even in the bedroom.

Perfect Family Getaway in a Quiet and Spacious Location

We absolutely loved our stay at this property! The location was wonderfully quiet, and we made great use of the tennis, basketball, and pickleball courts. We were not disappointed!! Great stay!

We really enjoyed our stay here. We all agreed we would definitely return and recommend this property to anyone coming to the area!! Couldn’t have asked for better communication with the owner Paul! Beds were comfy, kitchen was well stocked with basics and there is plenty of room for a large group. We were disappointed to find out only weeks ahead of our July 4th weekend stay that the back deck would not be available during our time there, and that’s definitely a big draw for this property. The owner did make an adjustment, but hopefully they are able to fix it soon so that others can enjoy the deck. The view of the lake is definitely better before the trees are full of leaves but you can still enjoy the lake peeking through the trees!! The walk to the “beach isn’t too bad, but we had a member of our party with some mobility/stamina issues and it was a little bit of a struggle for him. I would definitely recommend driving down to the area at the top of the stairs if anyone in your party has similar issues. There are plenty of wineries/breweries within a few miles of this property and it’s only about a 25 minute drive from Watkins Glen. Oodles of places to eat and things to do nearby!
