Foxhole Cottage - Dicht bij het centrum

Dit charmante, zonnige huisje met 2 verdiepingen is centraal gelegen in Hendersonville, op een privéterrein met meerdere hutten, dicht bij het centrum (slechts 3,5 km). Perfect gelegen voor het verkennen van de watervallen en paden van DuPont en Pisgah, Asheville, Brevard en meer. De historische Foxhole Cottage is ideaal voor koppels, zakenreizigers of vrienden die samen reizen. Niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen of huisdieren.

De Foxhole Cottage heeft een gevierde geschiedenis. Deze 2 slaapkamers / 1. 5 badkamers, 1940's cottage werd oorspronkelijk gebouwd als een koetshuis achter het historische stenen huis op het terrein, dat bekend stond als het Brightwaters Guesthouse, opgericht in 1938. Boven huisden 3 kamers - 2 waren slaapkamers voor de koks die in de zomer uit Florida kwamen om te koken in de Brightwaters Lodge and Dining Room, die vroeger in het midden van het pand was. Een derde kamer werd gebruikt voor de opslag van goederen. Renovaties in de jaren 1970 omsloten de benedenverdieping (nu de woon / eetkamer en keuken en half bad) en gecombineerd 2 kamers in 1 grote slaapkamer boven. De naam "Foxhole" is origineel voor de structuur.

Tegenwoordig is het Foxhole Cottage opgefrist en in zijn oude glorie hersteld, waarbij de gladde hardhouten vloeren op de bovenste verdieping, de originele rustieke deuren en de balkenplafonds zichtbaar zijn.

De Foxhole Cottage is een geweldig huis om te genieten van het buitenleven. Zeer dicht bij de beste mountainbike- en wandelpaden - DuPont, Pisgah, Bent Creek en Mills River. De Foxhole Cottage is centraal gelegen om te dineren, brouwerijen en entertainment in Hendersonville, Brevard en Asheville.

Geschikt voor maximaal 4 personen. Minuten naar supermarkt en restaurants. Geweldig voor koppels, zakenreizigers of vrienden die samen reizen. Niet geschikt voor kleine kinderen of huisdieren.

Wonderful!

The Foxhole Cottage was perfect for me and my sister for a long weekend! Very clean and nicely decorated with a kitchen with all the basics! We felt very safe in this cottage which is part of a collection of cottages that surround a lovely little park with walking path. The neighborhood is very quiet, but convenient to the main road. It was very nice to be able to open the screened windows in the bedrooms to feel the cool night breeze!

Surprise birthday getaway

I surprised my husband with a birthday getaway. I put the address in the GPS and he followed the directions step by step not having any idea where we were going. This place was PERFECT in every way! We loved the history of the property, the architecture, the beauty, the style. It was definitely our favorite stay!

This cottage is delightful. Perfect location, size. Beyond clean. This was our first outing since COVID. We felt save. Thank you. I would suggest smaller coffee cups. Your are beautiful but heavy. We can’t wait to come back for a longer stay. This is our 46 season on Hendersonville. Thank you for a grand experience.

Cute, clean and homey ! We have stayed at several B and B’s and cabins but none trump the condition of this cottage, down to the little details. Wonderful place with a lot of history. Close to everything.

We stayed in the cottage for a month. Elizabeth was wonderful and was always available for questions. The only issue we had is that you only have access to basic cable so very little channels available unless you love to shop. This is an issue for only those staying more than a few days. This cottage is located close to everything. Great place and very private.

The cottage was all the owner said it was and more. It was beautiful, clean, and had all the amenities. The owner was very helpful with lots of recommendations about local events and good resturants. This is a gem of a find for a wonderful getaway.

We had such a great time so we extended our stay. The house is not only super functional but I love the history behind it. Elizabeth met us with the biggest smile and a homemade treat on the table. Cozy cottage, wonderful hostess!

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at the Foxhole Cottage! Elisabeth welcomed us on our first day and was very gracious to meet us at our requested time. She's very knowledgeable of the area, and gave us excellent recommendations. She was also very accessible through text and email, and answered our messages promptly. The Foxhole Cottage is very charming, well-maintained, clean, and well appointed. It had everything we needed for our 6-night stay. It is conviniently located near grocery stores, restaurants, and hiking trails. It is a great base camp if you would like to go to Blue Ridge Parkway, DuPont State Forest, Asheville, and Chimney Rock. We already recommended Elisabeth and the Foxhole Cottage to our friends who asked about our trip, and we would definitely want to stay there when we go back to WNC.

Clean, clean!

This is a very clean cottage and the price is right! The towels and bed linens are fabulous. There are just a couple of things to note. We had a low riding rental car and the driveway was difficult to get out of especially since it is a busy road. Also, The amenities are bare minimum. An extra garbage bag would have been nice. But, that being said it was a great VRBO rental and Elisabeth was very helpful with recommendations of restaurants and attractions. Great experience!

Very nice stay at the cottage!

We recently stayed 15 nights to acquaint ourselves better with the Hendersonville/Brevard area and all that it has to offer and we chose the right place. The cottage was very clean and well equipped (only wished for a little more comfortable front porch chair for reading) and Elisabeth the owner was very nice to meet and deal with. The location was very convenient to get to Dupont, Pisgah, restaurants, breweries, shopping etc... We'll definitely return!
