Stunning hotel at the Golf course
Ni need to play Golf to stay in this hotel, but you can. Very large rooms and great breakfast. Very quiet setting with ocean view a bit remote from nearest city activities like Mosselbay; you need a car

Great room - but overall poor hotel complex
The room was spacious and well decorated. Unfortunately the room overlooked a security gate and the staff were loud with thier banter and radios which was a bit of a distraction from the serene environment. The overall hotel estate is worn and tired, looks like it has not been maintained in years. We were there for one night and wanted to go to the bar/restaurant with the view of the ocean. We were told it was full and therefore had to eat in a “pub” type restaurant next to a security gate.

Rooms are very clean & spacious. Breakfast buffet could use a little bit of more choices though. Overall, it’s a nice place for a weekend gateaway.

It was a good stay overall. We also really enjoyed hiking. The course is amazing. There were some building next to the lake that are a bit delipidated.

Beautiful setting no guest service
Service was shocking. The fridgeand TV in the room was not in working order. Reception didnt answer the phone and I had to call from my cell phone. THe manager was off duty. Eventually the DM came and we ensited on a new room. She was kind enough and moved us. The setting is beautiful but the guest service was unacceptable.

An overall pleasant experience, where you are made to feel special however, the cleanliness in the room was appalling. the toilet was dirty as well as the floors and the mugs and utensils at the in-room coffee station was used and left like that.

The rooms are beautiful! The beds and pillows are very comfortable too. The grounds are nicely manicured and there is a really nice poolside with wonderful lounge chairs and nice thick cushions.

Unpleasant experience
I was disappointed with the poor maintenance of the hotel in general.The toilet fan in our room was not functioning and there was a leak in the toilet from the access hatch due to the A/C unit trip pan overflowing in the ceiling.Due to the fact that I was the Electrical Engineer on this project when it was built and operated by Hyatt hotel group I was aware of there expectations.The hygiene conditions in the restaurants during the present Covid-19 situation also very far from being up to what should be expected.The same cloths used to clean table tops are being used to clean utensils and plates.

We waited 3 hours for room service to deliver food, only to be told that we must go and pick it up, why offer room service if guests are required to collect their own food. Staff were very unfriendly and unpleasant. No respect for guests. Manager on duty could not even offer so much as an apology for the poor service from his staff. Will never stay at oubaai again.

Good service and very pleasant stay
Very nice hotel and good good in bistro. Breakfast not really up to scratch - they seemed to keep running out of things (glasses for fruit juice, croissants, spoons) and took a while to get replenished and fruit salad consusted of just apple and melon. Marmalade labelled as apricot jam! Little things! One bonus - there were 2 decent pillows per person and no stupid surplus cushions that you never know what to do with.

Room for improvement!
Couple getaway- very poor location of our room- ground floor, dark, no view whatsoever- we requested a move and got room 239- same class , bit smaller but more airy and a view too. cannot understand why the hotel would give us such a bad room is BETTER rooms in the same catagory were available!! The hotel looks a bit tired- as as example, the curtains in our rooms were stained and in need of a good wash or relacement!

Hôtel agréable avec un bon rapport qualité prix mais hôtel vieillissant que demande des rénovations ! Le personnel est cependant très serviable et souriant !
