Wonderful Anniversary Trip
We were in Highlands celebrating our 44th wedding anniversary. This is our 2nd stay at this property. The last time was in the Galax. They were both great. Everything you need in a great location. The rooms are spacious and well appointed, tastefully decorated, comfortable and clean. My only advice would be that if you have trouble using stairs you might want to choose one of the rooms on the street level.

Perfect base camp for exploring the Highlands
The accomdations were very clean, comfortable and well-appointed. The location could not be beat. Plenty to do on foot. We never moved the car after arrival. We would definitely stay here again.

5 Star Accommodations
Beautifully appointed and exceptionally clean loft right across the street from the Old Edwards Inn. For less money than you would spend there, you can stay in one of these lofts and have 3X the space, including your own kitchenette. Parking was never a problem and we were there the weekend of the 4th of July. The property manager checked in with us by text to make sure we didn’t need anything. Check in is simply getting the code for the door the day before you arrive. Super convenient and a luxurious stay all the way around. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful property
We booked all six units at Lofts on Main for family for my son’s wedding weekend and these units are amazing! Beautifully decorated, incredible bedding according to everybody, spotless and with everything you could possibly need during your stay. Sherry and the management company were so responsive in the booking process - all in all you cannot find better accommodations in Highlands!

Spectacular Studio in the Heart of Downtown Highlands
Trip got off to a rough start when the email with access instructions ended up in my junk mail. As a first time VRBO user, I was expecting everything to be communicated via the app. Nonetheless, we got everything sorted out. Will chalk this up as a rookie error. The property is fantastic…can’t ask for a better location. Clean, modern, and right on Main Street. Easy access to shopping, dining, and local hiking. Looking forward to coming back. Can’t say enough good things about this property…and lessons learned to check on junk e-mail. Well done!

We loved it so much I don’t want anyone else to know about it! Hands down best place to stay in highlands. Walk to everything, felt like our own luxury condo. So easy to get in and out.

Highlands NC is for old people that have nothing to do.
The property lived up to its billing. The town, Highlands NC is not my idea of a good time. If your idea of a pleasant get away is looking into shops that sell mustard, chutney and drawings of black bears then this if your shangri-la.

I am so sorry that you feel that way! I hope the Bartram lived up to your expectations. Highlands is know for it's hiking trails and waterfalls. There are several restaurants and pubs that offer live music and we have two livestock theaters. I hope that you will give Highlands another try. We have a Food and Wine Festival in early November that is a three day long event with live bands, wine and food.

We loved our stay at Lofts on Main!
My husband and I chose this property for our first visit to Highlands, and we're so glad we did. It was right in town and we could walk around during the day to shop and then walk to dinner every night. Great location and great accommodation. The Bartram studio was even more beautiful in person! The bed was super comfortable and the room was spacious and clean. We loved the bathroom so much, we plan to use a similar design in our renovations. Have already recommended this property to several friends!

Convenience is Great!!!
Everything was great EXCEPT for two things: 1- the instructions for opening the door could be more clear . Fortunately the maid was next door and she showed us how. Very simple but the instructions are confusing, 2- there needs to be a freezer for ice

For your future stay, we do have a one bedroom apartment or 2 bedroom apartments that have full kitchens which include an ice machine. The studio apartments are equipped with an efficiency kitchens which only allow a small refrigerator. We hope to see you again soon!

Lock trouble
We love Highlands and the unit is great but we had trouble with the lock after our initial entry. Also, there should be instructions for the television because the remote is NOT intuitive. Also, it wasn’t absolutely clean!!

I am sorry to hear your experience was not to your expectations. I did not receive a call about difficulty with the lock but will look into this immediately. We did get your call about the tv and we sent someone over right away to assist you. We do have a routine the includes walking the apartments after every cleaning and I did not notice anything out of the ordinary during our review. We have not received complaints on cleanliness in the past so we will definately pay close attention.

Hello Kathleen, We use a third party payment system and the payment is automatically charged the day before you arrive. I could only refund and take the new payment but this would take some time.
