Het Hynes Cabin 1925 gerenoveerd Classic met een prachtig uitzicht

Hynes Family Cabin is een prachtig gerenoveerd split blokhut met een adembenemend uitzicht en moderne voorzieningen. Slaapt zeven. Gebouwd in 1925, deze hut heeft nieuwe grenen lambrisering het hele gebouw en een onlangs vernieuwde keuken, woonkamer en badkamer. De badkamers hebben een vintage keramische verlichting. Een grote slaapkamer en een aparte slaapkamer op de veranda, beide met queen bedden. Drie eenpersoonsbedden op de veranda. Een complete badkamer met douche en bad, een half bad. Woonkamer beschikt over nieuwe lederen bank en love seat, plus originele split log en grenen meubelen. Grote afgeschermde veranda met een spectaculair uitzicht op Harney Peak en Mt. Elkhorn. Originele bal en klauw bad op de veranda is gevuld met kussens voor kinderen om te lezen. Fiets- en wandelpaden in de buurt. Drie mijl van Hill City en vijf mijl van Mt. Rushmore. De gasten en hun kinderen kunnen gebruik maken van de nabijgelegen Mt. Rushmore KOA faciliteiten, waaronder gratis zwembad, hot tub, waterglijbaan, minigolf, films, winkel, restaurant, bar, ijssalon, pizza en sandwich winkel, general store, een cadeauwinkel, en wasserette. Trail ritten en outdoor pannenkoek ontbijten zijn ook beschikbaar voor een vergoeding.

Wonderful stay

Of all the places I've rented, this is my favorite. Cannot beat the location and amenities and charm this place has. Loved the paper plates on the walls. The host had this stocked with everything we could possibly need and more. Loved watching the horses run every morning and evening, the various wildlife living the rocks near the cabin, and the beautiful views, especially every evening. I hope to take many more vacations in the Black Hills, and this will be the place I look first to rent.

Great cabin with a fresh air sleeping porch! We enjoyed camp fires, the KOA fun zone, and late night movies back at the cabin. It was a memorable adventure and a return trip!

Scenic view with charm

We loved staying in the Hynes Cabin! The charm of the 100 year old cabin and sleeping porch really made our trip. It was comfy and a great place to land after a day of exploring the Black Hills. We wished there had been WiFi just to be able to plan our day out, look at directions for our outings, and reserve tickets for tours.

What a wonderful treasure! This place reminded me of a home I used to visit in the Adirondacks, so it felt nostalgic. The view was amazing. We appreciated the warm bathrooms because we were there with a cold front, and it got really cold. LOVED it here!

Wonderful experience. Great location. Perfect cozy family cabin. The only negatives were not in host control (weather). A few small changes I’d make if I lived there, but nothing that would stop me from staying again. Every amenity we needed was already there. Was worried the shower would be cold but the wall heater worked beautifully. The view was priceless. Loved watching the horses running through. Saw deer in the pasture grazing with the horses. Fun climbing rocks. Nice to use the fun zone and pool at the koa. Too many positives to list. Dont wait to book this lovely cabin!

Perfect Getaway

The cabin is very cozy with beautiful views. It is perfectly located with easy access to all the sites and activities of the area. I would recommend this cabin for all ages. Get away from the electronics and enjoy old fashion family time.

The kids loved the sleeping porch. The KOA can be a bit noisy in the evenings, but wasn’t unbearable. We took the kids down to the FunZone one morning and ate at the All You Can Eat Pancake breakfast. It was a great place for our family!

Amazing family getaway

The Cabin was extremely clean! We loved hanging out in the screened in porch. We played cards and ate our meals out there. My boys enjoyed sleeping with the fresh air! The best surprise was there were dozens of horses out to pasture behind the cabin. Absolutely beautiful!

Bucket list fulfilled

Booked the cabin to fulfill my mother’s bucket list. Mount Rushmore was to be our adventure. However the cabin sealed our adventures as well. The cabin felt like home so much to see at and around the cabin. The joy of a nightly fire the ability to cook outside and the rocks for the kids to climb on brought everything full circle. Perfect place for families to stay. The greatest besides the camp fire was watching the horses and deer play tag behind the cabin as the sun was setting.

Beautiful place.Be prepared for no air conditioner nice at night in July but plan on exploring during day not bearable at 90 degrees to stay at cabin during day.Knew no air conditioner going in to stay just really hot weather the 3 nights we stayed.

A GREAT find!

Located overlooking a horse pasture and the iconic Black Elk peak this quaint family owned cabin was just what we were looking for. Well appointed and spacious for our family of 6. The sleeping porch is amazing. You have to drive thru the KOA to get here but its proximity gives access to a LOT of additional amenities. Think pools, bar, multiple restaurants, UTV rentals, horseback trail rides, ice cream, outdoor movies, playgrounds, mini-golf…it is also centrally located to all the things. Mt. Rushmore, Jewel Cave, Custer State Park, are all just a short drive away. In short, book it, you won’t be disappointed!

Hynes Cabin Gem!

The perfect SD cabin. Nothing will beat the sound and sight of the horses every morning and evening. It’s pretty central to all the sights and hiking. The use of the KOA amenities is a major bonus. The house manager, Kim, is very quick to answer your questions. Highly recommend!

Beautiful Piece of History

Absolutely amazing experience at the cabin. In early June the sleeping porch was perfect for kids, nice and cool in the evening. There were plenty of warm blankets available to use, and the queen bed on the porch had a privacy curtain which was a nice touch for adults staying out there. There was so much history about the cabin and the valley available to read, which was very fun. Kitchen was well stocked, grill was easy to use, and everything went smoothly. We had one question about the shower (you pull down on the faucet to start it if anyone else has trouble), and when I sent a message the manager got back to me immediately. It was a lovely place to stay, and we would definitely visit again!
