'Friendly personnel, good beds and excellent breakfast '

'Terrible! Worst experience in a hotel ever! The outside building and front look nice but it’s a facade. Our room was on the backside, you have to pass a trash area and an ugly fence to get there, feels like you are put behind in a shed somewhere. The stairs up to the room were dirty and worn out. A dirty cleaning towel lying next to our door. The whole room was worn out, paint coming of etc. The bathroom so small you couldn t use the sink when you had the door open. The shower was broken,...

'The room was clean, with modern/quirky tech features. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs, providing a place to store our luggage after the check out time. The hotel is in a good location for the Redjet passenger ferry and the high street with bars and restaurants. It is also located a few mins walk from the taxi rank and bus stop that has connections to Newport.'

'We booked 2 sea view rooms for 3 nights. Only one room had a sea view and the bathroom in that room had black mould around the ceiling. The other room had a very old mattress and the bedding was old and thin. The pillows in that room were flat. We checked out after 1 night and will not be back. Whilst the staff were friendly, this hotel needs refurbishment, new mattresses, new duvets, pillows, blankets and linen. Mould is injurious to health and no hotel of the calibre that this hotel...

'The fire alarm went off 3 times in a night, I didn't sleep that night.'

'Unfortunately the room requested was not available as we had our small dog with us so were allocated a dog friendly room which was fine but it only had a 4’6 bed which really is not expected these days. Following the downgrading of the room by the hotel and being advised that the room requested would be cheaper. The new price unfortunately was not honoured despite numerous requests for a refund so overall not the best experience.'

'Heel erg fijn hotel. Ligging geweldig, parkeren heel goedkoop in garage. Veel winkels en op loopafstand van de Historic Dockyards. Goede restaurants om de hoek. Twee kleine minpuntjes: ondanks een heerlijke douche, is die wel toe aan een nieuwe kitrand en de bedden zijn aan de smalle kant (maar slapen lekker).'
