* The View House * Kom genieten van berglucht, eenzaamheid en avontuur. Dit is een mooie 4.000 vierkante voet, 4 slaapkamers / 3 badkamers huis op 35 hectare. Het ligt op een werkende boerderij naast BLM. Als u op zoek bent naar een privé-uitje met een frisse toets, is dit uw perfecte ontsnapping! Zorgvuldig gepland en ingericht, breng uw familie of vrienden of beide mee en geniet nog steeds van voldoende ruimte om te strekken. Het ligt op minder dan 1,5 km van Highway 69 en is het hele jaar door gemakkelijk bereikbaar.

Drink uw ochtendkoffie op de veranda achter het uitzicht op de ongerepte bergketen Sangre De Cristo en The Ranch op Texas Creek. Of ga 's nachts uit en bewonder de sterrenhemel en de Melkweg waar deze Dark Skies-gemeenschap trots op is. Geniet van je zorgen in het grote hoofdbad of bewonder de dieren in het wild net buiten je slaapkamerraam. Vissen en raften op de Arkansas River of verken de charmante winkels en eetgelegenheden van Westcliffe - op slechts 15 minuten rijden. Wandel over de Rainbow Trail net om de hoek. Trotseer de Royal Gorge, de hoogste hangbrug van Amerika, of ga lekker dineren en bezoek de kunstgalerijen in Salida - beide ongeveer 45 minuten rijden langs de Arkansas River.

Wil je de dag nemen om te loungen of tot rust komen aan het einde ervan? We bieden ook gratis wifi en een flatscreen-tv waarmee je je shows kunt streamen vanaf je telefoon.

Quiet as a star’s shadow

The house was beautiful and the views were outstanding - including the stars at night! We went on several “adventures” to see places nearby (Royal Gorge, Mission: Wolf, Bishop’s Castle and rafting) but just sitting on the porch enjoying the view and the quietness was amazingly refreshing. The birdsongs and occasional cow’s moo just added to the joy we found at The View House.

Beautiful views

We enjoyed our stay here. The Mountain View’s are spectacular. We loved getting to see sunsets and sunrises along with deer and rabbits. The house was large enough that we all had a space when needed.

Wonderful place to stay and what a view!

The rooms are very large and closets the same. The ladies loved the kitchen. I liked the place because it was the hub to rafting, hiking, sand sledding, fishing and four wheeling.

Family Wedding

this was the perfect place to stay during weekend of wedding activities with family. Literally took five minutes to get the wedding venue in Hillside. The night stars and surrounding mountains are just incredible . My son warmed up his bagpipes and the cattle came to his performance and the next day invited more cows. It was jus so much fun for our 12 year old granddaughter. Very clean and everything is there. We highly recommend this house. Thank you so much

Beautiful and Secluded

Our family of three stayed here for four nights on our road trip. It was perfect. So comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. The stars were gorgeous and the views were incredible. Plenty to do in nearby Canon City. We saw big horn sheep, mule deer right off of the deck, and wild turkeys. The house was so comfortable and met our needs perfectly.

So peaceful

We really enjoyed our stay on this property and hope to go back. The house was much larger than expected and very quiet. There were deer walking through the yard almost constantly. We enjoyed biking and hiking nearby and driving down to Westcliffe for some tennis and icecream at the Sugarlump.

Great, remote hideaway

This place was so beautiful, had everything we needed and was still homey. It was clean, with the exception of A LOT of flies. I’m sure this is nobody’s fault, because if a few get in, they multiply in a hot hurry and it would be hard to stay on top of it if you weren’t in the home. Otherwise, it was clean, the bedding and linens were clean. I don’t think of another reason I’d need to visit Colorado, but I would definitely stay here again. Lovely secluded home with lots of wildlife right in the yard. A good find!

View house didn't disappoint

This property is quite secluded, which is why it is so special. The night sky is amazing and yes, you can see the milky way with the naked eye. A decent camera, lenses and the right settings will bring forth some amazing pics. Westcliffe is 15 mins south while Canon City is about 40mins. So plenty to do during the day. You will want to be home before sundown, in my view.

This home and location are amazing. I spend a lot of time in area but the view was like no other. I think my favorite pet was waking up and drinking coffee with the cows nearby! The home was spacious and cozy!

A Little Bit of Heaven

I've stayed at several VRBO properties and this was by far the most beautiful scenery I've ever seen around the entire property. Solitude, privacy and a place to relax can be experienced here. The house is spacious and well appointed. We wished there had been a king size bed, but everything else was exceptional! We hope to stay again next summer.

Spectacular home with stunning views!

This home blew us away. It is gorgeous, clean, and expansive! It comes with everything you could ever need. The views are stunning. The only thing to be aware of is the area rug on the carpet as you come into the house is a trip hazard. Everybody in our group tripped on it when we finally rolled it up and got it out of the way. The rugs in the kitchen were also hazardous as we kept slipping on them so we stashed them away as well. Overall, you will not be disappointed and will want to return again. We can’t wait to go back again!!!

Unparalleled 360° mountain views. Peace and serenity at it's best. Amazing home, and owners.

Such an amazing place. Truly disconnected from the world. The mountain views come only second to the amazing star gazing. There was a Cresent moon, but could still faintly see the milky way. We will be back when there is no moon. The house is stocked a plenty and very accommodating. Feels like your own home.

The View House

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The View House. The views from all windows were breathtaking. We saw deer, turkeys, and a herd of elk all from our patio! The house was very clean and very accommodating ( except for the lack of live TV). We will return!

A great choice!

This property does not disappoint! The views, the cows, the space to stretch out. Jen is very responsive and although we had an issue with the fire alarms one morning the response was quick and got resolved and that is all you can ask for when problems arise, as these things can just happen sometimes. Not a whole lot to do close by but there are lots of day trips within an hour or two hour drive which we didn't mind given the amazing venue. We were actually kind of bummed to have spent so much time on excursions when we could have been soaking up all the views at the property. Everybody on the trip is now planning a time to come back with their own families.
