De Avonlea Cottage is een adembenemend luxe hut met een miljoen dollar uitzicht op Claytor Lake in het idyllische stadje Hiwassee, Virginia, met meer voorgevel en toegang tot een dok. Deze 3750 m², 4 slaapkamers, 4 complete badkamer (met badkuipen en douches) huis met twee tweepersoons slaapbank slaapplaatsen voor 20. De grote slaapkamer is voorzien van een queensize bed (evenals een full-size wieg voor baby's of kleine kinderen), boven slaapkamer # 1 omvat 2 queensize bedden, boven slaapkamer # 2 omvat een queensize bed, en de landing boven bestaat uit een lits-jumeaux met een dubbele trundle. De slaapkamer beneden heeft 3 queensize bedden. Vers en prachtig ingericht in een huisthema met rustgevende blues, grijzen en crèmes, zijn er kwaliteitslinnen aanwezig op de luxe bedden die u een heerlijke nachtrust zullen bieden. U zult geen andere luxe verhuur vinden met zo'n rustige ambiance.

Er is een eersteklas gastronomische keuken met een Viking-assortiment, koelkast, vriezer en alle hoogwaardige roestvrijstalen apparaten. Graniet in de grote keuken, krullende esdoorn kasten en eindeloze ruimte om gastronomische lekkernijen op te zwepen. De keuken is voorzien van veel verschillende kooktoestellen, mixer, enz. We hebben zojuist een extra grote eettafel met logboeken toegevoegd om iedereen in de keuken in één keer te huisvesten! Alle kamers in het huisje hebben een fantastisch uitzicht op Claytor Lake, er is ook een enorm stenen terras met meerdere niveaus en uitzichten, waaronder een vuurplaats (hout aanwezig). De badkamers zijn uitgerust met luxe handdoekverwarming, een granieten aanrecht en een jacuzzi in de grote badkamer. Een vergaderruimte beneden bevat een pooltafel, airhockeytafel, tafelvoetbaltafel, dartbord, bar (inclusief SubZero koelkast, vriesladen, ijsmachine met professionele capaciteit, luxe wijnkoelkast, koffiezetapparaat en magnetron), keukentafel en open haard met veel ruimte voor grote groepen. Er is ook een grote wasruimte met 2 sets wasmachines en drogers. Buiten is er een grote roestvrijstalen Viking grill voor buitengrill met een rotisserie-opzetstuk, perfect voor barbecues en grote bijeenkomsten (propaan geleverd). We hebben ook voldoende binnenbanden voor dobberende hoefijzers, openluchtparkgrill bij het meer (breng houtskool als je geïnteresseerd bent), paddleboard en 4 gloednieuwe 10 ft. Kajaks voor de gasten, veel leuke dingen om te doen voor de kinderen en familie!

Omringd door vele hectares bosland en natuurlijke schoonheid, is privacy geen probleem. U zult waarschijnlijk kale adelaars zien zweven boven het meer, omdat zij vaak bomen op het terrein uitkiezen om elk jaar te nestelen! Toch bent u nog steeds slechts een klein eindje rijden van het pittoreske en historische stadje Pulaski, Virginia, evenals dicht bij vele andere knooppunten van activiteiten zoals Radford, Christiansburg, Blacksburg en Roanoke. Een Virginia Tech-voetbalspel is minder dan een uur rijden! Het aanbieden van prachtige mogelijkheden om te dineren en winkelen, evenals de podiumkunsten, waaronder het Roanoke Symfonie Orkest, je bent nooit ver weg van wat je misschien wilt ervaren tijdens je uitje.

This house is amazing! The views are fantastic. There are so many beds. I booked this house for our family to stay while we celebrated my daughter’s wedding. From the moment we entered this house I felt calm and relaxed. This house had everything our family could ask for. I enjoyed all my communications with the owner. The pictures and even the written description DID NOT prepare us for the actual property. In short, our experience was AMAZING.To start the rooms and capacity were much larger than expected. And there was not one thing overlooked by the owners. Everything was extremely clean and neat and very well organized. Also, there were so many unexpected amenities…far too many to list.We enjoyed our extended holiday weekend family visit immensely!

Perfect cabin for a getaway with Friends

I stayed at the Avonlea cottage with my VT friends while we visited for Homecoming, it was an unforgettable experience. This luxury cabin is stunning, with spacious rooms and beautifully appointed décor that creates a perfect retreat vibe. The wooden construction and furniture made it feel cozy and high-end all at once. The layout comfortably accommodated our large group, thanks to the generous bedroom options, plenty of beds, and four spacious bathrooms. The massive dining table was ideal for our gatherings, creating a warm and inviting space for shared meals. For entertainment, this place is loaded. We had an amazing time in the downstairs gathering room, enjoying the pool table, air hockey, Foosball, and bar area – everything we needed for our evenings. Outside, the fire pit is the highlight of this cabin, it was perfect to hang out outside during the cold nights. Location-wise, we loved the secluded feel and forest surroundings, but it was also convenient to reach nearby towns like Pulaski and Radford for quick outings. I highly recommend Avonlea Cottage for groups or families looking for a perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and nature. Whether for a reunion or a relaxing getaway, it’s a place you’ll want to come back to!

Perfect Retreat

The owner of this property clearly understands how to make you feel at home with family. This home can easily sleep extended family and friends too, and in every room there was thoughtful treats, bottles of water, etc. With all the amenities, there is something to enjoy by everyone. Great House with Amazing views

We recently stayed over the long weekend. Our family group included multigenerational members from college age to two year old. The house has a perfect set-up for small children (lots of toys and books) The game room is a perfect set up for large family gathering and game nights. Everything was labeled in the kitchen and had many different appliances for ease of cooking. The host, Rita, was thoughtful in providing welcome goodies and was very quick to respond to any question we had. The only aspect that proved to be difficult was the “walk” down to the water. Once we realized you could drive a car down the side road, it made it more convenient. The kayaks and tubes were a big hit, unfortunately you could not rent a boat at that location. It is a beautiful home and we had a wonderful weekend.

Wow! I'm not sure where to begin. This property is stunning and the house is immaculate. The owner has thought of everything! The pictures do not do the house or the view justice in the slightest. We had a blast down by the water during the day floating, paddling, and playing volleyball. Would stay here again without hesitation!

Avonlea Rocks!

Our second visit to Avonlea in Hiwassee. Love the location,privacy, and the amenities. The cottage feels like home. Weather was perfect Kayaking,fishing,volleyball, swimming or just lounging. Everything you need for a week’s vacation with family and friends Just bring your food and beverages. Rita,(Host) ,was magnificent. House was pristine and spotless , and with everything you need from grilling to gourmet meals (our niece is a professional chef) so it was a 5 star resort stay. Fantastic getaway

This house was perfect!! We had 3 families including 6 kids and we all had a great time here. It is a trek down to the lake, very steep road, but you can drive people and stuff down and back if needed. The floating dock was a favorite for the kids and we all enjoyed the kayaks and SUP’s. The fire pit was fun for a night and the views were outstanding. The hosts have this house very well stocked with many things, which is great since it is a bit of a treck down a gravel road to get to any stores. I would definitely stay here again and for as many nights as possible, just loved it!

Wonderful Home, Great for Family Vacations

Our family of 14 stayed here for 4 nights. The house was even better than advertised! Rita the homeowner was outstanding at hosting and communicating. We had plenty of beds, bathrooms, living area, things to do, etc. Water was hot and the AC cold. Beautiful front porch and back decks. Two fire pits with firewood provided. The large home overlooks a lakefront lot with a boat dock, beach volleyball, kayaking, swimming, etc. While you can walk to the lakefront lot, we usually drove 2 cars down so my parents, yard games, coolers, etc. had a ride. We would definitely come back!

luxury cabin on the lake

Description of property is accurate. Our family of 16. 10 kids ages 4-17. I say this because our week was a total rain out for 5 days! Yet, everyone found space and activities throughout the house to still have fun and relaxation. This location is remote and private. That can be good and bad depending on your prep. No restaurants in the area or grocery stores nearby. Kitchen is indeed fully equipped, and gas grill is excellent. Refrigeration and freezer space is plentiful. We cooked all meals indoors and out. Bring alcoholic beverages for your length of stay. While there we had a few questions for the owners, and they were responded immediately to our needs. In total after discussing our stay at our last dinner, all age groups gave the week the big thumbs up! PS: Highly recommend a 4-wheel drive vehicle (or 2!) Steep drop from cabin to lake.
