Authentieke blokhut op het prachtige Goshorn-meer

  • Deze blokhut is geheel rustig gelegen op een steenworp afstand van het binnenland van het Goshorn-meer. Geniet van het zitten op de veranda in het prachtige bosrijke eigendom of ga zitten in uw beschutte veranda achterin en geniet van muggenvrije avonden. Neem een duik in de hot tub op de beschutte veranda en vergeet al uw zorgen. Deze hut is ideaal voor gezinnen omdat het compleet is met een speelkamer in de kelder met een grote pooltafel en een kaarttafel. Grootbeeld-tv bevindt zich ook in de kelder.

    Breng luie dagen door langs het privéverenigingsstrand of ga op de pier zitten en vissen. Het Goshorn-meer is een niet-wakker-meer, dus het is geweldig om te zwemmen. Deze hut ligt op slechts een korte fietstocht van het centrum van Saugatuck en Douglas

    BETALINGEN: Wij accepteren betaling met creditcard. Betaling van 50% van de huursom en 100% borg is vereist binnen 5 dagen na het maken van uw reservering. Uw snelle betaling wordt op prijs gesteld, omdat we niet kunnen garanderen dat een woning langer dan 5 dagen wordt vastgehouden zonder betaling. De laatste betaling, inclusief belastingen en toeslagen, moet 30 dagen voor aankomst worden betaald. Na ontvangst van uw laatste betaling sturen wij u een definitieve bevestiging dat u volledig betaald bent, samen met incheckinstructies.

    ANNULERINGSBELEID: Annuleringen worden om welke reden dan ook als volgt afgehandeld:
    - Annulering 30 dagen voor aankomst: terugbetaling van alle gelden ontvangen minus $ 100 administratiekosten.
    - Annulering 15 tot 30 dagen voor aankomst: restitutie van 50% van het bruto verblijfstarief met aanbetaling verminderd met $ 100 administratiekosten.
    - Annulering minder dan 15 dagen voor aankomst: verbeurdverklaring van alle huuropbrengsten. De borg wordt terugbetaald.
    - Voor cheques die om welke reden dan ook worden geretourneerd, worden administratiekosten van $ 50 in rekening gebracht en wordt uw reservering geannuleerd.
    - Neem contact op met uw persoonlijke verzekeringsagent om u te informeren over een reisverzekering om uzelf te beschermen tegen onvoorziene omstandigheden.

We loved our stay. Plenty of room to be together, or to be separate. We grilled outside, made s’mores with the grands, enjoyed the activities (games, arcade) in the basement. Loved the little beach.

Overall pretty good cabin in a great area. We have now stayed here 3 different times. I do recommend it but wish the owner would do some comfort upgrades - specifically around the bedding, better managing what is in the kitchen, and newer/nicer towels. That would take this from 4 to 5 stars.

Fun Time

This is the third time my family has stayed at Hidden Dunes, but the first in this cabin. We had a great time. When we were done swimming at the beach or jumping off the dock, or paddleboarding Goshorn Lake, the basement game room provided hours of entertainment with a beautiful 9' pool table, video games and big tv. Main floor was comfy and well appointed, though a little dark for all the trees outside. Hot tub was nice and relaxing and on our last night we made smores in the outdoor fireplace which was probably safer for kids than an open firepit.

Hidden Dunes cabin

We stayed in Hidden Dunes several times over the past 20 years or so, although not in this particular cabin. Hidden Dunes is convenient, well maintained, and has a private beach on Goshorn Lake. We like this neighborhood a lot.

Great Family Vacation Spot

The cabin was great. Nicely furnished and decorated. The kitchen was fully stocked and the hot tub and finished basement were a nice extra. There is a very short walk to Goshorn Lake which is perfect for floating. Short drive to Oval Beach and Saugatuck Dunes State Park. Great area, great cabin, we will be back.

Loved the charming cabin! Location was perfect and the lake relaxing. The cabin, being in a highly treed area, was dark and relaxing. Only problem we faced was a good enough light to apply makeup. A lighted makeup mirror would make the cabin perfect!

Winter Family Getaway and Birthday

We have been staying at this cabin for years now. We love it! Love the log cabin, fireplace and hot tub. We celebrate our grandsons birthday there every year. We love the Saugatuck area. We have been lucky to have snow every time we come so we can sled. Love how accommodating Elisabeth is, very easy to work with. Highly recommend her cabin.

Great Girls Getaway!

Perfect space for our annual Girls Trip. Short distance to fun destinations and wonderful activities, made everything so simple! Four bedrooms allowed us to spread out, and the ample living room combined with the dining space to provide plenty of room for games, dining, puzzles, movies, and more. Nice game space downstairs. Screens on front door and back patio need attention, so we kept door closed for the most part. But otherwise, it is a great space and location!

Our quick family vacation

We enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was exactly as described. Well stocked, Roomy, Perfect location, isolated and quiet but a short drive to Saugatuck and surrounding towns. The hot tub was nice after a day of walking around town. The basement was a big hit with our kids, from the pool table and board games, to the arcade style games. Only drawback, and it is minor, with the open stairs it can get a little noisy on the first floor when the kids are downstairs. All in all we would definitly stay here again.

Lovely cabin, great host

This property has everything you need for a wonderful family vacation. The cabin was clean and well appointed, with two full bathrooms and a well stocked kitchen. 4 good sized bedrooms, with TV’s in at least 2 of the bedrooms. The basement is essentially a game room. We used the pool table quite a bit, but there was also a card table, video games, and board games to play. A very nice hot tub on the back deck was a great way to end the day.We loved that the cabin is a little out of town, but a quick drive to attractions. We HIGHLY recommend the sand dune rides at the end of the street. So much fun! We enjoyed our time in town, but also at the beach of Lake Goshorn. The beach is very small, but it’s a nice enough lake. The host was very good about communicating with us prior to the trip. The check out list was simple and reasonable (start a washer load of towels, run the dishwasher, etc). No surprises there.If we come back to this area, we would happily rent this cabin again.

Ladies Weekend

This was a great property. from wine kyes, to coffee cups, to cooking pots and pans, casserole dishes, containers to store left overs it was just GREAT! I have stayed at others which the cupboards were bare. This property had everything you needed and more. Lots of board games, chess, pool table, video games, poker table. I was worried were would we all eat as the picture online showed three chairs at the table There is actually 8 :) We loved the screened in porch and the short walk to the lake.

Pleasant New Year's Stay

This is our second year staying at this cabin for New Year's. Overall the stay was enjoyable, just as good as the previous year. One major thing that put a damper on the experience was the constant scritching of a mouse in the walls/ceiling of one of the upstairs bedrooms, disturbing the sleep of the occupants. I recommend contacting someone to check for an infestation. Otherwise very positive, may return again.

Clean and well appointed. Just a few things of note.

Cabin was super clean, which is hard to do being that it is in the woods and close to the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, maybe a bit too much as there was no where to store any food items but on top of the counters. But appliances were updated and everything worked we. A few things to note, not to discourage booking here, because it was great, but just so you know what to expect. The cabin is dark, all day. We had to have lights on all the time. Yes it is in the woods, but the foliage around the cabin keeps any light from getting in. Light-sleepers may want to prepare. All the beds are small and VERY squeaky and there is no sound insulation through the entire cabin. Any noise inside and outside the cabin can be heard throughout the entire cabin, and this includes acorns and squirrels on the roof. The beds were pretty comfortable, but there was only one queen and it is in one of the upstairs rooms, not in the only downstairs room. The cabin is in a condo community so all the cabins are REALLY close together. Now all that being said there are some real plusses to this cabin as well. The hot tub was great and clean and on the screened in porch thank goodness because Michigan mosquitos are no joke. The tankless hot water heater was great for 6 people to all take showers. The game room was so much fun, but bring a sweater because it gets COLD down there. And there is plenty of seating throughout the whole cabin. We had a great time and would definitely go back!

The good...hot tub, kitchen, location, swimming and fishing access. Things needing improvement...first floor shower leaked into the basement utility room, basement entertainment area needs updating, thin out kitchen cabinets to create space for food storage, various door screens need to be repaired, beds need new mattresses, window sills and other areas needing cleaning. We had a good stay but the house needs updating and maintenance.
