Amazing vacation and property!

Perfect location, can’t get any closer to the beach. Nice and quiet. House was very clean and up to date. Was exactly as pictured in the listing. Only incredibly minor complaint was that the smoke alarm is super sensitive and went off every time we used the oven. Better to work than not at all though! Definitely will be coming back.

Great vacation spot!

We enjoyed our week! Great home - enough room for family of 5 + dog, great location directly on the beach, washer and dryer (wonderful to have!), not crowded on beach, dog allowed on beach anytime. We like to always go someplace different but we keep talking about renting this place again!

short on hospitality

Being there for a full week would have liked to have had at lease one trash can, an extra roll of toilet paper, a Kleenex, and some sort of soap to at least wash our hands. If you expect your dishes to be cleaned by hand a brush of a rag should be provided. I should not have to shop for all of these items - please make it more clear on upfront information. FYI- the queen size bunk bed room leaves only enough space to lay flat on your back and not even turn over or sit up. A side table would be nice in that room.

Sea Biscuit Bliss

What a treat it was to spend the week at the Sea Biscuit. It was perfect. The beach was at our door, the house was comfortable and filled with light. The beds were wonderful and communication with the management company was great. We enjoyed every second. Our only suggestion would be to have gates on the deck so our dogs could wonder the deck unleashed.

Ocean front

This is a very small house but it was accurately represented on the website. Older beach bungalow, excellent location, no frills. I had no problems with the house except one of the bathroom doors is warped and it won’t close entirely. My problem is the sand taking over the back of the house. I am all for dune preservation, it’s very important to the health of our beaches but the sand has drifted 4 feet high on the walkway from the porch to the beach. To get to the beach from the house you have to scramble up the 4 foot high sand pile with all your beach stuff in tow. I have arthritis in one of my hips so it was very difficult for me to climb through the sand. I called the property mgmt co about it. They were very nice but said there was nothing that they could do about the blocked walkway due to the dunes and town ordinances. So it’s really not “easy direct access” to the beach. The outdoor shower is also not usable because it’s buried under the sand pile with the walkway! If you’re going to rent this house I suggest taking a pop-up canopy for the side porch. There is no shelter so using our tent allowed us to sit in shade in the middle of the day. The deck gets extreme sun all day but if you’re shaded, the breeze is usually good. We had a great week none the less but I don’t think “direct beach access” or “outdoor shower” are accurate anymore. It should be noted.

great property! my only issues were there was no free standing fan so i had to buy one from dollar general, and the sand had been blown directly onto the walkway to the beach and the rental company was unable to remove it for me. these were only issues due to my elderly dog though (he has breathing issues).

The view is great

This property is ok... it's directly on the beach, so the view can not be beat. I knew going it that it was a smaller place and that was fine with me. I didn't know the deck is about taken over with sand, so there is no stairs, no cleaning your feet, etc. There is also no outdoor lighting, the light fixture that faces the beach is completely corroded. The management company came to look at it, but needed the owners permission to replace it and I guess they refused to do so. I feel like that it's a safety hazard that needs to be addressed. If you have dogs and want to enclose the deck, you'll need 4 standard size baby gates to do that. Again, it's on the beach, so it beats anything that's not, but for the money, there are nice places out there.

We enjoyed a week on the beach at lovely Sea Biscuit! Perfect location and set up for a relaxing family beach get away. So much to do in Surf City and Topsail Island, too!

Beautiful View

The location and view were incredible! The house is very small but was accurately described. The shower was the tiniest I have ever seen! We did have an insect problem during the last few days, and we reported it. We really enjoyed our time, but so think the house needs some updates.
