There is a streetlight directly above the parking lot & keypad for ease of viewing at night. We also have brick columns with bright lanterns on them at the front entrance & side entrances. We are in the process of installing a pole with a lantern from the guests' parking area to the house which should help!

We put a high priority on comfort and our guests getting a restful sleep. In eight years, we have never had a complaint about our beds being uncomfortable, in fact, quite the contrary! The Blue Room you stayed in has two extra-long twin beds and one full-size bed. All beds in that room have custom-made mattresses. The full-size bed has a memory foam mattress top. Not knowing which bed you slept in, or the particular issue you had, makes it difficult to address since we've never encountered this before.

Thank you for your honest review of your experience at our B&B. Sorry if there was some animal noise. We want our guests to have a quiet, restful night and do everything possible to ensure they do! Interestingly, no one in the surrounding houses own a dog so not sure why there was one barking but do apologize for that! There is a neighbor two houses down that does own cats. Again, we apologize for any disruption in your sleep or getting to sleep! - The Owners

Holly Springs is a beautiful old town steeped in Civil War history. I like to think of it as a town in transition. Lately, there are a lot of newcomers moving into the area. They are buying up the older homes and restoring them to their former glory, even better. It will take time to see the results, Rome was not built in a day as the saying goes.

Thanks Barbara for your feedback! Yes, the house is an Italianate design built by a German immigrant who married a local lady and settled in Holly Springs. He built the house for his he & his bride. We are thrilled you enjoyed your overnight trip at our B&B! Unfortunately there aren’t separate heating and cooling units for each guest room, however, this has never been an issue since we keep the thermostat setting between 68-72 degrees at all times. The thermostat is centrally located in the hallway outside each guest room and guests can adjust the temperature setting if they wish or inform us and we will certainly adjust it for them.
