'Breakfast , parking, staff, cleanliness'

'Comfortable'

'Overall an OK stay but not worth the price tag. Visited at half term, hotel appeared under prepared. All staff were helpful and polite but clearly under staffed so not necessarily their fault. Room not ready 2 hours after check-in, walkways not maintained, dirty glasses and plates with food on outside a lot of rooms. 1 bath robe in the room for 3 guests, toilet in the room didn't flush and whole bathroom in need of basic repairs. Bar/restaurant stopped taking food orders at 7:20pm in school...

'Toilet did not flush strongly enough so we were confronted with the impossible to remove old poop of the previous guest. The receptionist seemed to think it was ours... '

'Property lovely, high standard interior. Staff on reception felt a little awkward as if on guard sat at a desk near the stairs but were always friendly. Access was a little difficult due to cars parked around the entrance to the car park. I guess to avoid the additional charge per night extra charge which we paid. Upon leaving our car was covered in tree sap but it will wash off. We stayed for 4 days and no one came into our room to empty our bins, replenish toiletries or restock the hot drink...

'I loved it. Bed was so comfortable. The breakfast was 10/10. I am so glad I stayed at this location! 5 min walk to the historic center of town but quiet at the B&B.'

'Clean room and free parking'

'Gezellige, sfeervolle accomodatie met prachtig uitzicht over York vanuit onze kamer. Goede hygiëne, alles wordt prima schoongemaakt. Uitstekend, uitgebreid ontbijt. Ligging, vlak bij station York, prima. Uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen naar York-centrum. Heel servicegericht personeel.'

'Easy check in with clear instructions for entry and parking. Lovely breakfast, hot and cold options. Clean room with a lovely hot shower. Great location for visiting York. Would happily book again.'

'We only stayed at Ashbourne House for one night and it was very nice. Lovely room with a Comfortable bed, great shower and towels. Plenty if tea and coffee, and if you ran out you could get more from a dish on the landing also a sweet treat if you needed it, which I thought was a nice touch. It was a bit away from restaurants and the main shopping but public buses stopped just down the road and was easy to catch and came regularly if you didn’t have a car. If you did have a car there seemed...
