Sunny Brown West Shore huis

Dit prachtig bijgewerkt huis is volledig gerenoveerd van boven naar beneden. De twee slaapkamers hebben elk een kingsize bed. Er zijn 2 volledige baden. De familie kamer is eigenlijk een 3e slaapkamer met 2 aparte bedden en uitklapbare slaapbank. De woonkamer is voorzien van een mooie rots open haard, volledig uitgeruste keuken met een groot eigen terras toegang om te ontspannen en BBQ. Het huis is volledig uitgerust voor uw vakantie nodig heeft. Er is wifi bij de woning en toegang tot de Pier van de huiseigenaarsvereniging (sleutel tot toegang tot de pier is in het huis, $ 200 indien verloren). House ligt dicht bij het fietspad systeem en Kaspian recreatiegebied. Niet ver van Sunnyside Resort, Homewood skigebied, West Shore Cafe, Firesign Cafe en de lokale West Shore markten. * Moet vierwielaandrijving en winterbanden hebben om in de winter toegang te krijgen tot dit huis.

Lovely cabin

Our family of 5 stayed here and had a great time. The cabin was so cute and clean. We enjoyed the variety of board games and two fireplaces. We had the kids stay downstairs and we were upstairs. Nice when they can have their own space! The peek of the lake through the trees from the second floor kitchen/dining area was such a nice way to enjoy coffee before skiing for the day!

Great rental!

Conveniently located on the west side of the lake, which allowed easy access to activities on both the north and south side of the lake. Far more peaceful location than staying in South Lake. Loved the cabin. Would definitely stay here again.

Our first time in Homewood and that’s actually a nice area with everything close by, our cabin was perfect with all the amenities you need for a family trip our last night we heard some creepy sounds and steps upstairs we thought there was somebody but no body was there it would definitely be better if some of the main windows have curtains at night so people don’t see you at night but other than that everything was fine

Great woodsy location and deck

Enjoyed four days here, well equipped kitchen and the deck was great for meals and cocktails. Comfy bed, and we only used the upstairs, but the downstairs would be great for kids or a second family. Living room carpet needed cleaning otherwise a nice rental with quick lake access.

Thanks for sharing your home with us. It was located in a great area with easy access to shops and nearby restaurants. The cabin was clean and roomy for the 4 of us. Kitchen was well stocked with plenty of supplies to use although we did not cook due to our short stay. We will be back again.

Fun at the Brown House

The house is in the perfect location, especially if you rent a ski boat from Homewood. Nice that adult bedroom is separate from the kid floor below. The deck and grill are both positives! Saw a giant bear one morning while on a run at 7am, but it is Tahoe, after all. :)

Good things, Bad things

We stayed at this property for 3 weeks. On day 2, I contacted the management people about a few things. I asked for an additional skillet - one was warped so badly it would not sit on the burner and the handle was loose, the other skillet was quite large and badly scorched. We asked for a fan (there was one in the upstairs area) for our guests who slept downstairs. I asked for additional shampoo and body wash ( the bottles said "save for guests", so I assumed they were providing the shampoo and body wash. Each bottle had about 1/4 inch of product in it.) The bottles of hand soap at all sinks were watered down. The management company totally blew me off. We received none of the above. Furthermore, the management never called to check if we had what we needed (I guess I know why). We have rented for 3 weeks in Tahoe for the past 5 years - ALWAYS the owner calls to check on us about mid-way through. Next, the info on VRBO says "updated". I find that hard to believe. The couch upstairs is incredibly uncomfortable. The linens on the upstairs bed are atrocious - flannel sheets that are badly pilling. The positive here is that I don't need to get exfoliation on any part of my body for some time. There was not a single dishcloth to use - only one sponge which I really dislike. In the kitchen, there were 5 wineglasses; the place sleeps 6 adults. The cleanliness was good in places like the bathrooms and kitchen area. However, there was debris under the tv cabinet and also along the edge of the carpet under the dining table. I noted this throughout the house - the center of rooms was vacuumed but the edges were grimy. Probably the worst thing was the condition of the carpet in the upstairs. Really dirty and stained. We habitually take our shoes off before going into a house - we do this at our own home and at rentals as well. After the first 2 days, I wore my shoes into the house - the carpet gave me the willies about what might be imbedded there. Positives: The deck is great. Nice outdoor dining table and 4 good chairs. 4 really nice Adirondack chairs on the deck as well. The grill worked fine. The mattresses on both kings were good and comfortable. Good hot water and good water pressure. The dishwasher worked well. There were lots of towels. I'm doubtful I would rent here again. I'd say it's just OK. Which is not good enough for the cost of this property.

However, in order to receive check in code, I needed to sign a document which was supposed to be emaied to me. I had a busy work week and missed that I was supposed to do this. In addition, the doc was never emailed to me in the first place. I did not realize this until 5pm on Friday as I was trying to check in. The cabin check in time is 4pm and the rental office closes at 4:30. There is a 30 minute window where you could get help if needed. I called the back-up number provided twice and they could not help, only forward my request to check in to another agency who was supposed to email me back. My brother luckily guessed the lock code on the pin pad. If he had not done that, we would not have had a place to stay. It is now 2 weeks after my stay and I still have not received the follow up email which was supposed to be sent from the phone calls I made the day of check in. I could have averted the situation by filling out the docs in advance but around the holidays with work, it slipped my mind. I do think the management company running for a vacation rental business should have after hours and weekend support considering that is when most guests need it. The cabin itself was a great stay - clean, cute, & cozy. I would recommend the cabin but not the management company.

Great experience

The cabin is close to the lake and parks where you can go enjoy the snow! We stayed during thanksgiving and there was plenty of snow! The views before arriving to the cabin are also spectacular. The cabin was clean and specious with 2 big beds and 2 small ones. The only bad thing about the stay was that we could not stay longer!
