Big Water Pines ligt 5 mijl ten zuiden van Tahoe City, 1,5 km ten noorden van Homewood Mountain Ski Resort en een paar blokken van Lake Tahoe en de privé-pier en het strand van de Tahoe Pines.

Big Water Pines is een charmante 2 slaapkamers, 1 badkamer, 1 loft cabine gelegen aan een afgelegen straat in Tahoe Pines. Op de eerste verdieping is er een woonkamer met eethoek en houtkachel, vernieuwde keuken (foto's nog niet bijgewerkt), grote badkamer, wasruimte en een slaapkamer met een queensize bed. Er is een stereo-installatie in de woonkamer met een cd-speler en een iPod-dock. De glazen schuifdeur biedt directe toegang tot het bubbelbad en de aangelegde achtertuin. De prachtige, vernieuwde keuken met alle nieuwe apparaten (foto's nog niet bijgewerkt, sorry) is volledig uitgerust met alle benodigdheden; inclusief potten, pannen, schalen, blender, vaatwasser en gasfornuis.

Boven heeft een royale entertainment loft met TV / DVD samen met veel zitplaatsen op de uitgebreide slaapbank. Er is ook een grote tweede slaapkamer met een kingsize bed. Het huis is uitgerust met high speed wireless internet access.

De hut ligt op loopafstand van het meer en Tahoe Pines huiseigenaren vereniging prive-pier en het strand. Ook in de buurt is de Blackwood Canyon trailhead voor toegang tot wandel / fietspaden in de zomer en sneeuwschoenwandelen / langlaufen in de winter.

Tijdens de zomermaanden is er een gezellige hangmat opgehangen in de bomen, een aangelegde tuin, tuinmeubilair en een gas-BBQ.

In de winter ligt de cabine dicht bij verschillende skigebieden. Homewood Mountain Resort ligt op 1,5 km afstand. Alpine Meadows en Squaw Valley liggen op minder dan 10 mijl. Er is parkeergelegenheid voor maximaal 2 auto's maximaal tijdens de wintermaanden (1 november tot 1 mei)

We loved our stay in Tahoe Pines. The cabin and back outer area were absolutely wonderful and everything was there that we needed for our week in beautiful West Shore Lake Tahoe. We walked to the pier and beach every morning and hiked the trail up the street a few times during our stay. The weather could not have been more perfect. Great restaurants are a short drive away and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking in. Thank you for a great 2025 getaway!

White Christmas

This property was perfect for our goal of having a cozy white Christmas! My adult daughters, fur baby and myself enjoyed this quaint cabin and its location. The cabin provided everything that we needed for our holiday, including a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day. Only drawback, we were hoping to ski at Homewood and didn’t realize until after we booked it was not open for the season. But we adjusted and skid another location on Christmas Day.

Thanksgiving stay

The cabin was very cute and cozy, perfect size for a couple and dog. The kitchen was well-stocked, and the place was very clean. Loved the wood-burning stove. The location in tahoe was great, close to hiking and walking paths. The property management was very communicative and on top of things. The bed upstairs was a little too soft and my back hurt after sleeping on it a few nights. That's my only complaint. Overall, a wonderful stay and would definitely go back!

Location, location, location

This is a traditional cabin-style property with all the amenities of home. We lacked for nothing during our stay. We enjoy the west shore, away from the busier parts of Tahoe, and the home allowed us to have an enjoyable family vacation.

Lovely cabin in the woods

We loved our stay at Big Water Pines! This is our second time renting this cabin. It's perfect for our family of four. It's comfortable and cozy, and close to everything on the west shore. We will be back!! Thank you for a fabulous summer vacation in our favorite place.

The house was very comfortable for our group of 6. We did make use of the pull-out sofa bed. Could use updating. Kitchen was well outfitted. Enjoyed the hot tub and back outdoor space. Location was close to the beach and our other family group staying nearby. We'd like to come again.

Easy process for check in and check out. Master bed was so comfortable. Everything was clean and well kept. Backyard is darling with places to sit, hot tub, bbq, and lay in hammock. Definitely family friendly!

Great stay!

This cabin location and size was perfect for our family stay. The short walk to the lake was convenient and it was a short drive from stores and restaurants, although with the well stocked kitchen we cooked every night at home. We will definitely be back!

Birthday Weekend at the Lake!

This place was perfect for a group of 5 of us friends. We loved the walk to the lake every day multiple times a day, and enjoyed jumping off the dock, and having a little picnic down there. It felt tucked away but so close. They had everything we needed to cook 3 meals a day and enjoyed the hot tub every night after a cold swim at the lake.

Great spot for Tahoe getaway!

A really nice stay with everything as listed. The location is great and easy to get to. Away from it all but close enough to town for restaurants, the lake, and activities. The home warmed up nicely, had a nice functional hot tub, and was clean and comfortable. Let me not forget the wood stove, which was pre-loaded and really a nice plus. Noteworthy: -Kitchen supplies minimal but with Safeway nearby -Cell service (verizon) not very good but great Wifi provided - A tiny amount of effort to work around bear deterrents but considering the alternative, no trouble at all - Comfortable beds, linens and pillow options - so thank you!

Good overall - had some issues

Overall a great stay but had a few issues. The driveway was supposed to fit 2 cars, but there was so much snow piled up only one car fit (luckily we only had one car). Entering, I opened the door without turning the bear fence off as I had never seen one and didn't know what it was. It was also pitch black out by the time we arrived- but a warning to anyone else arriving as you might not know the fence is there. It's in the directions they send but it would definitely be helpful to have a sign in front of the porch as a warning. The house itself was very spacious for our party of 3, and had all the supplies we needed. The hot tub was huge and definitely a highlight of the stay. However, on the second night of our stay, all the snow fell off the roof and blocked the back door and windows so we were unable to open the door and get to the hot tub. By the time we realized this had happened, it was after-hours so no one was able to come to shovel the snow. Thankfully this didn't happen while we had been outside the night before. With the amount of snow that fell from the snow storm the week before I definitely think the snow should've been removed from the roof before anyone stayed there.

Lovely cabin on the West Shore!

Very lovely, well-appointed cabin. The heated floors were a bonus! Great location and very comfy bed. My only suggestion would be to the property management company to consider consolidating their emails/texts/calls. It felt like a bit of automated "over-communication". That said, I would definitely stay there again!

The property was just like the photos. Very clean, easily accessible in winter - in the flats, just a few blocks from the lake. Stayed warm and cozy, enjoyed the hot tub, and the kitchen was well-appointed.

Lovely cabin, would book again

What a lovely cabin! Close to skiing and a short walk to the beautiful lake. The hot tub is dreamy and the kitchen has everything you need including lots of spices. It’s an old school cabin with the Tahoe charm, but a newly remodeled kitchen is a beautiful addition. My family hopes to come back in the summer time.
