The location and staff were great. I get that, due to staff shortage I don't have daily housekeeping and that is fine! Yet it should be better divided over the stay altogether. I booked ten nights and housekeeping came on the 8th day! I would have preferred that that would have been done on the 5th day. But I would certainly book there again!

Een heel fijne plek met zeer behulpzaam personeel! Een aanrader voor wie in Waikiki wil verblijven met een niet al te ruim budget.

Hotel is matig. Wij hebben daar 5 dagen gelogeerd. Uitzicht was waardeloos je keek tegen een blinde muur. Bedden zijn erg hoog en ongemakkelijk. Personeel is wel vriendelijk en ligging is gunstig.

Hotel Waikiki Aqua Bamboo, Honolulu
Leuk hotel (aan drukke straat) in Polynesische stijl en in de lobby is veel bamboe gebruikt in oa de meubels, wat een intieme sfeer geeft. Elke dag complimentary koffie, appels, citroenwater en lemonade in de lobby. Ook strandlakens, strandstoeltjes etc. werd gratis uitgeleend. Ik verbleef in dit hotel eerst op de 4e verdieping aan de straatkant. Geen aanrader!! 's Nachts veel lawaai van verkeer en daklozen die rondzwerven en waarvan sommige ruzie zoeken met veel geschreeuw en kabaal! Na verzoek om een andere kamer kreeg ik een kamer aan de andere zijde van het hotel met uitzicht op het zwembad, op de 12e verdieping. Dit was een veel prettigere locatie. Al met al een leuk hotel voor een voor deze locatie betaalbare prijs en met vriendelijke mensen.

Although I can count on one hand of any bad reviews I've ever left through years of hotel stays, I felt it's important to let all know of this property. I paid for a 1br suite with a queen bed, but front desk checked me into a suite with a full bed w/pull out sleeper. The deal breaker between this property and the Hilton across the street, was its impressive swimming pool which had a "full service" pool bar & restaurant. After checking in, we visit the bar and learn this bar doesn't serve alcohol, as they never renewed their alcohol license in over 4 years. (This bar and pool area has so much potential) The next mrng, my wife calls housekeeping for new towels. We realize rooms are not serviced for stays less than a week. Hence why this property charges a ridiculous "cleaning" fee at time of check in. In my case, my two day stay was added a $205 cleaning fee. This is not a deposit, but a mandatory fee. When speaking to Priscilla at front desk, all guests are assessed this fee, and there's no way to avoid it, other than staying elsewhere. Regarding vehicle parking, it was also told to me this property had only 10 parking stalls in their basement. A slip of nearby hotels that can accommodate my parking was given to me at check-in. So we had to check-in, then park the car at the banyan, several blocks down the road. I really feel bad for older or disabled guests staying at this property. The only thing we liked was the size of the room.

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. It would be great to offer breakfast instead of dinner time food at the pool then a Happy Hour with drinks and snacks in the evening! Room was nice although Netflix or something would be a nice addition. Bed was great but the bedding and pillows were sub par. It wld be nice to have had a few more things in the little kitchen ..ie wine glasses and corkscrew, salt and pepper. Real glassware ect. We LIVED being able to walk everywhere! So close to the beach! Shops and restaurants!

A great place to stay. Priced right, has great staff, and is very close to Waikiki Beach. The pool and out door area are very secluded feeling. Geat little restaurant by the pool. Nothing fancy but nice. We've stayed here three times and will be back again. My only complaint might be the street noise so try to get a room not facing Kuhio. Other than that. I give it a very high recommendation.

We got a partial ocean view room with what said had a balcony but the balcony was on the other side of the room and faced the street which was disappointing especially with the amount of money paid for the room. The room also had a weird smell to it that never went away for three days. The pool also is pretty much covered with trees so it gets limited sun.

We stayed 4 nights everything was so close easy walking to everything! The restaurant was closed first night no cook? The second night we couldn't get a drink at bar while in pool no license? They did allow you to bring your own drinks in. Staff very nice.

I had a wonderful experience during my week at the Bamboo Waikiki hotel. I was one block from the beach, bus service is everywhere in Waikiki for those that do not want to get a rental car. The zoo, aquarium and Diamond head road are with easy walking distance.The hotel was clean and the staff was always available for coffee refills, beach towels and day to day supplies. My room was very clean and functional, the lanai (balcony) had views of the beach as well as various neighboring streets. Air conditioning and TV were new and modern. I can find nothing lacking at this accommodation and give a full thumbs up to anyone considering this hotel for a vacation stay.

Although I did enjoy the 1 bedroom suite the bed was super comfortable! However, The lady at the desk seem to be prejudice and did not want to assist. I arrived early and was extremely tired and just in the lobby while watching other guests be attended too with a smile. When we got to the room after this disappointing experience the disappointment continued the curtains and walls were not clean.

The single bed is my room was a twin size bed at best, not a queen or king. You have to give the front desk more than 24 hours notice to get your room cleaned even though they charge you extra for cleaning up on arrival. Otherwise, nice little place, cheap, little parking on site but right in the heart of the shopping and activity. I liked it.

We had been looking forward to this trip for years and planning it for over 8 months. 1. When we checked in the room was nothing like the picture and the smell was overwhelming musty. After airing it out it went away but came back every time we left and came back. 36 hours after check in we were moved and after looking at 2 options were finally offered the room we paid for. 2.Also we had to pay a cleaning fee of almost $300 on top of the nightly room rate we had already paid and have never encounter this at any other hotel and have stayed in 3 other hotels in the past year.

Do not recommend to people. This is a terrible place. The service is so bad. They charge $177 cleaning fee on top of the room rate but not provide the cleaning service. The room is terrible and small, old and no basic gadgets.

Room was not cleaned on a daily basis, there ws no emptying of trash or collection of used towels. Trash and towels had to be taken downstairs.. Had to request room be cleaned, room was cleaned 1 day of 6 night stay. After 3rd day and complaints, clean towels were brought and left at door in hallway. Beds were not made up other than the one day and used towels were never collected. This practice was not revealed to us until a question about why the room had not been cleaned and towels and trash removed. This information was not on the website through travelociity and/or Bamboo Waikiki Hotel. The room was run more like an apartment whereby the tenants clean their own rooms disposing of trash and addressing their own towel issue. Totally unacceptable. Having no other viable choices we stayed.
