The beach was close by with Monk seals and there new baby. Wasn't happy that I requested a 2 double bed room and got a 1 king bed. A lot of money for one of us to have to sleep on a roll a way bed.

This was my first time staying here and I can't wait to return! We stayed on the eighth floor and it was so relaxing. There is a mini fridge and a microwave in the room which comes in handy when you want to bring food back. You literally wake up to birds chirping and they even visit you on the lanai. This is the perfect hotel if you want to unwind and relax.

The Lotus is a lovely property Within walking and biking distance of Waikiki. It’s nice and quiet at night and feels safe to walk around during the day. The staff are simply outstanding! Everyone is so friendly and makes you feel immediately welcome. The beach closest to the property is beautiful and very swimmable (If there aren’t Hawaiian monk seals in residence!) We loved getting to use the bikes and really appreciated the water refilling station in the lobby. If there is one downside, the resort fee is very pricey given it isn’t really a resort and doesn’t have any amenities that you would expect from a resort. Plus, parking is extra on top of that. So, if you can, it’s best to park on the street outside outside the hotel. The restaurant is very nice and offers innovative flavors. There too, the staff are friendly and clearly care about their guests. This is a special place with lots of heart.

Honeymooners, first time in Oahu and thankful we chose to stay here. In the tourist area of Wakiki but further south on the strip and less busy comparatively. Not the best beach view even on a higher floor but small strips of beach are accessible, ~5 min walk. Terrific view of diamond head. Community park/grass fields across the street makes the area busy most times of day with soccer, volleyball, etc. Room itself was clean but amenities in the hotel limited: small business center, no pool, shared washer/dryer. Perks: free daily wine voucher for the restaurant within (did not eat there but looked great), daily Nespresso pods but have to get them from the front desk daily, valet parking, and personal favorite was daily free rentable beach chairs/towels and bicycles. Most importantly, service was outstanding everyone from front desk, valet, resto staff were all very respectful, kind, happy to provide tips/recommendations and help accommodate in any way to make the stay better. This was much appreciated and added to the experience overall! Also close to most food/downtown Honolulu shopping sites ~10 min by car. Solid choice for any Oahu visitor

The property is situated a walk away from the main part of Waikiki which made the area much quieter yet still easily accessible. The views of Diamond Head from the balcony were beautiful. We could also see the water even though it wasn’t direct ocean front. We had free use of beach chairs and bikes which we utilized. Just a 5 minute drive to the base of Diamond Head gave us a fantastic view of the sunrise that even small tour buses seemed to use but there was plenty of room for everyone. A special shout out to Yoobi and Cody who were a pleasure to talk with and imparted some impactful tips on places to go and try for local cuisine. There is a restaurant on site but we never took advantage so I can’t review. We will definitely book our next stay here when we return to Oahu. As a side note, you must try Leonard’s malasadas. Even though the lineup is long, it moves quickly and they were warm, fresh and delicious!

Lovely Small Hotel, Great Staff
We enjoyed this small hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable, and attractively decorated. Our room had a beautiful view of Diamond Head and partial ocean view. The Lotus is one building off the beach so there are no direct ocean view rooms. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We liked the location - by the beach but away from the hustle & bustle of Waikiki. There is no pool, but a 30 second walk down a path takes you to a small, pleasant beach. The one negative mark I would give the Lotus is there is one fine dining restaurant at the hotel but no casual dining on site, or even nearby. It’s inconvenient to leave the premises in search of breakfast or a light meal. But all in all a very nice stay. We would book this hotel again.

The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the craziness of Waikiki Beach. We wanted a quieter areal and the location is directly across from an amazing park. The hotel’s beach was quiet and perfect. Having a beached seal was great to watch. The Lotus needs to replace its beach chairs. The hotel is somewhat dated but the staff is wonderful. Great quiet location, beautiful park, safe to walk day or night. Lovely experience.

The view at this property is stunning. When we arrived, the concierge checked us in, offered a welcome beverage and shared that they had downgraded our room. To make up for it, they waived the hotel fees roughly $35/day. My husband and I would have preferred a phone call in advance to share that our preferred room was not available which was kind of frustrating. Otherwise, the front desk greets you every time you enter the lobby. They have chairs and towels for the beach. The beach on site is pretty small, but Waikiki is a 15 minute walk. There are plenty of places nearby to walk and enjoy including the zoo, aquarium and restaurants. On site laundry is free and was much appreciated!

This property is exactly what we were looking for. A fair price and within walking distance to Waikiki. Fun perks like free wine hour each night, reusable water bottles, robes and slippers. Diamond Head, rainbows, what’s not to love
this beautiful gem of a hotel is in the quiet area of Waikiki in front of Kapiolani Park and white Diamond Head. Perfect location to get in and out quickly and not deal with the Waikiki traffic. The service was excellent from valet to front desk. Greeting with wine, a water bottle filler and lovely Hawaiian music made for a great first impression. Valley parking is easy and not crowded. Like the bigger hotels. How could you not love this place. I only complaint was in the room the phone charging outlets were not quite working. besides that inconvenience, a great beginning for our stay.

Loved it!!!
We loved our stay here!!! This boutique hotel meets the mark between comfort, convenience and far away enough from all the bustle yet close enough to walk to. Staff were wonderful!! Amazing service with a ton of support when we needed it. Our view was gorgeous. December is the rainy season and we were able to hang out in our room’s balcony and still enjoy the view without getting wet. Would definitely stay here again! Only downside was getting takeout from the restaurant on site (Arden) as they don’t provide real cutlery nor the room has courtesy dining plates or so. Just go dine-in or go elsewhere instead. And check the amenities before booking, there’s no pool which is perfect for us, but if that’s important to you it might not hit the mark. If you’re renting a car, parking is $40 per day, you might want to check the HUI app as they have cars on site which saves you the parking fee.

Although the hotel website stated that self parking option was available, when we checked in,the parking attendant said only valet parking was all. The first room we were assigned smelled like a dirty locker room. The bathroom couiwas cracked and there holes in the upholstered chair. We were allowed to switch to another room which was tolerably less smelly. It seemed like the linens smelled of body odor. The bathroom sink drain smelled and the bathroom sink had a small crack. The restaurant in the hotel is closed on Monday and Tuesday. The hotel staff did not allow us a late check out of an hour and a half. That’s fine but they started badgering us 2 minutes after checkout time just as we were getting ready to leave. It take a while to get down to the lobby since they only have one small elevator which is shared by the maintenance staff.

A cute, small hotel. Close to the beach but you have to walk around to get to the sand. Room was good, bed was comfortable, view from the balcony of Diamondhead was beautiful. It was quiet and didn’t hear neighbours or anything in the surrounding area. Resort fee and parking fee are not cheap. I’m sure you could find Street parking but the valet was convenient. Have bikes you can use for free to ride to Waikiki, takes just a couple of minutes, it’s a pretty ride. It’s also an approximate 10 minute walk to get to the hustle and bustle. It’s nice that this hotel is away from the chaos and across from the park, a very active area with lots of people running and walking and exercising. I love it.
