Peaceful View
My co-worker and I greatly enjoyed the peacefulness of the house and the amazing view, especially from the deck. While not at our workshop, we spent most of our time out there on the deck, working on our project and enjoying the spectacular view of Mt. Adams. We loved the simple elegance of the interior and the open floor plan oriented towards the great view.

Nice place, good location
Overall a good location and nice place. Had a mix up with the rental being double booked, but host resolved it quickly. Other guests were quite rude, but that’s not the host’s fault! Views are beautiful and neighborhood is nice and quiet

First time mixup in 18 years. Problem was fixed in literally 5 minutes by placing the other guest in our other beautiful housing unit . Kensi was very gracious about it. I comped Kensi $100 for the brief interruption. Please note the consistent 5-star reviews going back many years.

Can't beat the view. I could sit on the upstairs deck all day while reading and enjoying the view. The location is ideal for getting to all the usual spots. Quiet neighborhood. The unit is stylish, well equipped, and all the furniture was very comfortable. The only downside was that the unit is shared at times. I guess I didn't read the fine print. I didn't have a problem with it, but the wife and kid were a little annoyed. They get a little nervous around people they don't know. The upstairs unit is well sound proofed, securely locked from the upstairs, and the occupants were quiet and respectful. Again, no biggy for me and it's my fault for not reading the fine print. The owner was kind and responsive. I would stay there again, but would inquire about the occupancy prior to bringing the family. If it was just me and a friend I wouldn't even care if people were staying below us. At any rate, the place is a definite gem. We enjoyed our stay.

Spacious home, great location
We were very pleased with the McAdams View rental! The home was spacious and well-appointed. We especially appreciated how well-stocked it was with dishes, cooking utensils, appliances, etc.—more than any other place we’ve stayed. The location was convenient for our daily ventures out to hike in the surrounding area. Leigh was very responsive with an issue we had, and even gave us some fresh-caught fish to grill. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful property and wonderful hosts
We had an amazing stay at this beautiful property. The house is wonderful with great space, beautiful open plan kitchen and living room and large bedrooms and lots of light. Sitting out on the balcony enjoying morning coffee and views of expansive hills and trees was the best way to start the day! The hosts were so helpful with great recommendations of where to go to enjoy wineries, dining and hikes. Mt Hood is a great destination - such a cute town with great dining, art, village markets, music wineries, orchards, lakes and so many great hikes and more!! It’s a true gem of a find for us! Very grateful for such a beautiful Labor Day vacation!

Great house and wonderful stay
This house was in a convenient location close to the swim center and post canyon. We came to windsurf and bike ride and it was perfect for that. The deck is lovely with a nice view of the river and Mt Adams. And a very well stocked and user friendly kitchen. It was really nice that the owner had left some basics in the refrigerator and pantry for use. I look forward to staying here again.

Beautiful Location however…
Hood River itself is beautiful, people are nice and friendly. There are so many activities to keep you occupied during your visit. The house was clean and well equipped. My husband and I rode a motorcycle 14 hours over 2 days, in the middle of the July heat wave. This was our only vehicle during our vacation. So, We were not pleased to find the thermostat being controlled remotely by the owner. After a long hike we returned to find the thermostat set at 88 degrees, when I had set it to 82 before leaving. There were multiple nights where my husband and I would wake up in a sweat to find the thermostat raised again. Throughout our 4 day stay the thermostat kept being changed to above 80 degrees making our stay extremely uncomfortable and frustrating. Upon checkout, there was a long list of household chores to complete. And we were asked to leave their housekeeping a tip. We have stayed in rentals all over, and have never been asked to leave their housekeeper a tip.

The guest did not communicate the temperature issue during their stay - at all! Very puzzling. If they had, I would have responded immediately. Remote control of the thermostat simply did not happen and no other guest, has mentioned this issue in our long history, (including a subsequent guest). Was a very good guest otherwise, but now I would give one star for 'Communication'. As you can tell by the dozens of glowing 5-star reviews this is an outlier review.

Lovely home and fabulous view!
My partner and I stayed at this property for the week of our wedding, and it was wonderful! The hosts provided all the information we needed so that our checkin was easy, and we’re very communicative throughout our stay! It was great for the two of us, as well as for my bridesmaids and I while getting ready, and had a wonderful kitchen for hosting. Overall, we loved it!

A House with a View
This house is in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Hood River and Mount Adams in a close distance. Adamsview has an open floor plan which is quite comfortable and spacious with large windows. A big deck serves extra space for warm weather entertaining All rooms are well stocked and amenities are upgraded. Landscaping well maintained. It is indeed a home away from home.

Such an amazing spot that’s conveniently located and has a super nice patio with a gorgeous view. The beds were comfortable and the air mattress worked well too. Plenty of sheets and towels. Double sinks in bathroom were a bonus. Living room area and kitchen are a great open concept hangout area. Definitely would recommend!

Just What We Needed
Was a perfect spot for a quiet and peaceful Thanksgiving break. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The kitchen is very spacious allowing for a great cooking experience and the living room set up was equally perfect for lounging. It is a short distance to the grocery store and local coffee shops. And the view really was amazing on a clear day.

Wonderful home - plan to stay again!
Love this home - it was perfect for our small group of 4. Kitchen was fully stocked with what we needed to make our meals and a very comfortable space. Views of Mt Adams were beautiful. We also enjoyed being able to use the garage for our vehicle. It was a really nice location - just a few minutes drive from downtown Hood Riverland brew pubs and wineries.

Wonderful house with Mountain View!
Excellent home with comfortable beds and furniture. Lovely deck with swivel rockers to sit on and look at the mountain before you. Owners are fabulous to work with and all steps of the check in and out process were easy. This wonderful home is conveniently located with easy access to downtown and major roads. Hiking is fabulous here. Kitchen is well appointed and house was exceptionally clean. We will return!

2nd time visitors to Hood River often tell us they picked our place to get away from the noise at places right downtown. You'll see comments in prior reviews how relaxing and quiet our place is :-) Our acoustic dual pane windows eliminate what street noise there is (~30-40 cars an hour daytime).

Fabulous Hood River rental with spectacular views of Mt. Adams
We loved the size and layout of this rental as well as the amazing views from the balcony. The unit came well equipped with anything you might need in the kitchen and bathroom and laundry as well as thoughtful additions such as the bluetooth speaker, board games and variety of books, magazines and brochures for local things to do. It was also extremely clean.

Top unit of a nicely renovated duplex in a mostly quiet neighborhood. Super helpful owners, well stocked, great view, easy access, comfortable king beds, and garage space for bikes/parking. Very considerate small features throughout. Downtown is 1.5 miles away.

Home is perfect for two or four. Kitchen is top notch and everything clean and modern. Views everywhere, Mt Hood and Adams visible from property. Great House!
The house was super comfy and well stocked with kitchen tools. Leigh was very responsive whenever we had a question. Great views when the weather cooperates. A very quick drive to downtown, but a little far to walk in bad weather, which, unfortunately, we had a lot of. But you don't visit the gorge in February and expect the weather will always be sunny. The house was great for me and my brothers to hang out in. And there was no shortage of great breweries and restaurants in Hood River and even more within 20 minutes. Easy access to the rest of the gorge and a quick, traffic free, drive up to Mt. Hood Meadows. Will definitely look to stay here again!

Had a wonderful weekend staying at Adam‘s view house! The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to make our meals along with a wireless speaker for listening to tunes. They had a lot of great resources for learning about the Columbia Gorge area. And there was cable so we could watch the Olympics! It’s a short drive to all the major Columbia Gorge attractions. The beds were comfortable and the area was nice and quiet for sleeping. Will come visit again!

We rented the upstairs part of the house and it was very enjoyable. it has spacious living/dining with open well-stocked and new kitchen. Very comfortable and clean, nice bedrooms. Quiet location. Great views to the north. Quick 3-minute drive to center of town.

We stayed only for the weekend but the place is super clean, comfortable and not too far from the ski area in Mt Hood. Hood River is also very nice. The guests have provided all the information needed to have a pleasant stay, very detailed instructions on how to operate things. We really enjoyed our stay.

So relaxing!
Amazing views, cozy living room, the kitchen had everything you could need and beds were comfortable. Too cold to enjoy the deck (and still had a nice amount of snow on it). Looking forward to returning when we can enjoy sitting outside!
