    . Liefdevol ingericht en uitgerust, deze prachtige, vrijstaande schuur is 'ondersteboven' gebouwd om te profiteren van het prachtige uitzicht op het platteland. Dit vakantiehuis is gelegen op het terrein van het huis van de eigenaren in het mooie dorpje Grindleford - op slechts een steenworp afstand van de plaatselijke pub en op slechts een korte wandeling naar het platteland, dat veel wandelingen biedt vanaf de deur. Op een paar kilometer afstand ligt het populaire dorp Hathersage met zijn openluchtzwembad, cafés, winkels, bars en restaurants. Ook vanaf hier kunnen bezoekers de trein nemen naar Manchester of Sheffield voor musea, galeries en shows, of een stop maken in Edale en de Pennine Way bewandelen. Bezoek Castleton en geniet van een rondleiding per boot door de grotten, waar de prachtige Blue John Stone wordt gewonnen. Het oude marktstadje Bakewell is een must, evenals een dagbezoek aan Chatsworth House en het landgoed van 1000 hectare, beroemd gemaakt door 'Pride and Prejudice,' of Haddon Hall. Het beroemde dorp Eyam is doordrenkt van geschiedenis en dit gezellige pand was ooit het huis van de dorpsbakker tijdens de pest van 1665. Er zijn veel verwijzingen naar dit tijdperk in het dorp; plaques, grafstenen, relikwieën en ook een museum. Bezoek ook het Jacobean herenhuis, dat nu een ambachtelijk centrum is. Shop / P. Perfect for our family holiday!!!

Tythe Barn was so charming and perfect for our needs! Jane was an amazing hostess and insured all our needs were met and her recommendations and advice were so helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and made great family memories we will forever cherish! We hope to come back to enjoy the area again and stay at Tythe Barn!

Wonderful Christmas stay

Jonathan and Jane were wonderful hosts. The barn was very warm and well resourced for a Christmas stay. It easily slept 8 and there were plenty of crockery etc. for everyone. We would recommend this property to anyone.

We celebrated a family reunion, birthday and wedding anniversary all in one week at Tythe Barn.

We celebrated a family reunion, birthday and wedding anniversary all in one week at Tythe Barn. Communication was excellent and timely and nothing was too much bother. On arrival there was a lovely cake for us to enjoy which was a nice gesture. Tythe Barn was exceptionally equipped for babies/toddlers, and despite having stayed in many places that state they are well set up for children, we have never stayed anywhere as good as Tythe Barn! It was lovely and warm, beautifully clean and homely. A full set up kitchen enabled us to cook in and enjoy lazy breakfasts and long dinners. The beds were so comfy it was struggle to get out of them every day. There are lots of walks around the Barn, short and long, and there are 2 pubs serving food nearby (which you can also get take away from) if you are so inclined. It was so lovely to meet Jane, and she was so very welcoming. Thank you so much for making our family stay so relaxed and memorable. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Superb facilities, the whole building has been very well designed and maintained. The owner could not have been more helpful, leaving a welcoming cake was a great touch. We had three generations staying and everyone was very impressed, form 73 years to 19 months.

Stayed here as four couples and the accommodation is fantastic. It’s always good when you arrive at a place and ‘wow’ is the first thing that comes to mind. The barn was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need and everything was also a good quality and it was clear no expense had been spared on equipping the property. It worked well for us as couples but the arrangements would also suit very well two families with children. The owner was very welcoming and on hand if anything was needed. Will definitely go here again.

Great cottage. We were snug and warm on a wet weekend. The cottage is located across the road from the pub and with loads of walks in the Hope Valley. The owner could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommend.

We have just returned from a five day stay at Tythe Barn and I can easily say it is the loveliest holiday home I had stayed at. Our group consisted of four adults and four boys aged 8-13 years and I can honestly say the boys loved playing outside in the surrounding fields (plus inside was plenty big enough to enjoy hours of hide and seek). The kitchen was better equipped than my kitchen back home. Bathrooms and shower were perfect with endless hot water. Beds were super comfy too. Grindleford is in the heart of hope valley and literally a ten minute drive in each direction to everything we wanted to see and do. The owner Jane met us on arrival and was lovely. We will definitely be returning and can highly recommend this property to anyone considering a stay,
